Masters of the Universe

LOL.. has anyone checked out the new Masters of the Universe?   This is another Amazon MGM Studios movie. It is streaming on Amazon right now.  We did not expect much from it -- this is exactly how we went into the movie.  It's not the greatest movie, decent cast, and I will say there are some really funny parts that IMO made it worth the view.  We probably will watch it again.

It even has a cameo of Dolph Lundgren! LOL... it's a short cameo

Is this on your list to watch?  Have you already watched Masters of the Universe? If so, what are your thoughts?

Anything He-man, GI Joe, Transformers, etc. gives me the feels, even if it isn't that great.

I think for any of us who are experiencing a rehash of our child / young adult-hood via Hollywood, we typically have to manage our expectations. Theres this balancing of the social norms of today vs. that of the source material that tend to alienate either the nostalgia crowd or newcomers to the series. Usually there's a sort of balance between the two that neither audience likes. IMO, Masters of the Universe does a decent enough job with its concessions, even if they still refuse the title He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
