Working on an Announcements section... And potentially something to break out News from certain boards. The "News Board" May not come for awhile until something can be decided on whether news in the specific boards should stay there instead of in news board. Decisions Decisions.

I thought I was tripping xD. It's just a bit weird to me to see general stuff not at the top. If you would rather it be down though it's not like it makes a humongous difference.
LOL... it has that affect. It's taken me a little while to get used to it. but there definitely is a void at top.
The emphasis was to get more visibility to gaming sections than General. Not sure if that works with this or not. I was thinking of putting a news and announcements at the top... Keep general at the bottom... then have suggestions / help etc... with Gaming having the most focus. It seems more sites are putting General at the bottom - my guess is to traverse more traffic down the entire page AND start emphasizing game boards more.
I'll leave it like this for a week and see if we get used to it. but again... there is a bit of a void a the top now.
Personally prefer General on the top but do what you gotta do.
Yeah I understand the whole "give more attention to the more specific boards" thing, but I really don't dig this.
