I hope to have this put together and posted as an announcement topic before Friday. I've been researching a few ideas on boosting memberships - and it will come together more as we progress.
The idea covers 3 areas we have so far:
1.) Site Membership - Top prize will be at the winner with over 30 memberships - baseline will be 30 memberships for top prize. There will be smaller 2nd and 3rd place prize.
2.) Discord memberships - There will be a prize for the member to get the most people to join our Discord Channel. The persistent link should work to get members there. Minimum baseline is 10 memberships.
3.) Steam Memberships - There will be a prize for the member to get the most people to join our Steam Group. Minimum Baseline will be 10-15 memberships... I need to think if that's enough.
Remember... the ultimate goal is to try to get as many members as possible to join to help move the site forward and get more activity. Prizes are cool - more activity and helping the site grow is pretty cool as well :D
The contest will also be posted to Steam and Discord once posted here.

30?
By my count we currently have 25 members. Can one person more than double our membership? and if so, how long do you plan on running this competition?
I'd have to put something on my son's psn to pull those kinds of numbers. if 1 out of every 15 of his friends signed up that'd be an easy 30, but do you really want to double our membership and half our average age?
I'm thinking of 2-3 months for the competition. Might be too long?
I thought 30 was pretty steep as well... maybe we can reduce it. This was meant to try to drive as many here as possible... don't mind us bringing in some younger, but definitely want to keep the quality of posts up. At this time, 13 is the min age for registration technically.

I don't have many of these left... they are from the Starfox weekend tournament I won back in 1993. They are pretty rare but you see them up on Ebay here and there. To give one of these away, I'd like to have a good number of members. Maybe 15 ?

Ha, that things worth 2 x 3 times what any of the video games are worth. Maybe you should stick to 30...
@targetrasp Or I could save that prize for a future contest, drop the number of required members and do regular game prizes for this one.

@targetrasp you still have one? While closing down I emailed or called everyone that I had on account with outstanding balances.
I went as far to make sure all eBay deals that went bust when I got scammed were repaid. That actually involved getting ahold of some people a 1-2 years out. In the end I couldn't get ahold of 1 person and they rejected my PayPal payment. I thought all gift card were accounted for.

Typical BV, scamming people. I remember he offered like $30 for me to trade in Star Wars: Rogue Leader for Gamecube and when I sent it to him he would only give me like, $5.

That is correct haha. However, I told you it was cracked and you said you'd take it. You're definition of a crack and mine are probably different though since the thing was almost in two pieces since my mom stepped on it lol.
