I try to not do digital. I want stuff I can hold. And I would want this to play on the original hardware. It is just one of those things that I missed. Unless at some point Aliexpress begins to produce Neo Pocket carts.  It could happen. They have recently started having Wonder Swan carts. I haven't ordered any yet.

I hear you @retro junkie ... I'm mostly the same way as well.  There are certain Neo Geo games and other expensive games I have caved for digital because I wanted to play them but knew I wasn't going to get them for under $200-2000 (maybe $3000+).  BioMotor Unitron is one of those games... I will also buy digitally to play on the Switch... because it's awesome to be able to play on the Switch!

If my NGPC doesn't continue to live for whatever reason, I would like another platform to play on... BioMotor IMO is that good lol 

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is coming out soon --> As of now, it looks like a Thursday, December 4th, 2025 release.  This game looks pretty good and is back to the 1st person perspective.  This game arrives for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.  You appear to get Enhanced resolution, frame rates and load times for the Switch 2 edition.

LOL... back in the Oled Switch - Have you bought one thread, I mentioned buying the Oled Switch and part of the reason was Metroid Dread... which I didn't open until I unboxed the  Switch 2 this year    Yeah... I have a problem @targetrasp LOL     

I am looking forward to this game... but probably will wait for a hopeful sale... which will also probably take awhile.  Are you looking forward to this game?  Why?

I've put some of the most time into Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Mario Maker 2.  However, I think I might have the most time invested into Tetris 99. Crazy as it is... that's an addictive... highly addictive game.  The competition is fairy stuff these days.  I think it's time to break out Tetris 99 again

The Nintendo Switch 2 has been hitting amazing sales figures.  They've sold 10.36 million consoles to date.  It's the highest global sales figures of any Nintendo platform in the first 4 months of launch.

I'm not surprised.  It's a pretty cool console and the features are pretty great. If they end up fixing(getting rid of) the (stupid in my opinion) game key cards and a couple other issues, this would be one of the coolest consoles Nintendo has launched.  Now they just need more games lol.

Biomotor Unitron is an awesome game.  I need to break out my NGPC

There have been many layoffs again recently with many notable layoffs at AWS (14k), Target and several others. Now it looks like SquareEnix also is laying off US and UL workers. It looks like they're going to rely more heavily on AI for deployment.

They stated 100-140 UK works and the number of US workers are not yet known.

The article mentioned SquareEnix is going to focus more on the Japanese game market.

I would suggest Earthion, but it seems to be sold out for every console, from Limited Run Games.

@retro junkie  --> I have been looking at Earthion on Steam!  That's a great suggestion.

I started it up and enjoyed what I've seen so far.

Yeah... it's pretty well done.  The story is well done.  Action is pretty great... good twists and turns.  I haven't watched it all yet, and hope there will be a season 2.

Been playing through Tomb Raider II from the Tomb Raider Remastered collection.

I'm working on my goal of finishing at least 5 games this year. I've already hit it but seeing how many more I can beat.

That's pretty awesome @CreepinDeth ... I need to replay those games.  I found my Uncharted Collection also unopened over the weekend. 

@targetrasp and I completed another level of Sniper Elite 5 on Multiplayer Co-op... this game is rough!  Sniper Elite 4 on Authentic difficulty was hard... but Sniper Elite 5 on medium is hard.  We platinum Trophied Sniper Elite 4... working on 5 here and there.

I need to get that out and get into it again. First thing I will need to do is kill all the bugs in the house and then weed the lawns. 

LOL... I am with you on that one.  Every time I start up Animal Crossing New Leaf or Wild World... I find myself cleaning weeds 

I have put very little time into New Horizons.   It started off as a joke (long story) and then just progressed into I never played it.  This update has me pumped to play.


It would really be cool if we could get people together on this one.  We could use the Discord to chat as well if we wanted to

I haven't played in a long time. I'm going to go back and my villagers will be like "OMG is it the ghost of Michelle?" 

LOL... the villager comments are hilarious.  They break out the surprised emotion and then they're like... "I haven't seen you in forever!"  and "Don't do that again!" 

A LONNNGGG time ago, We got a few site members to join up in towns in Animal Crossing Wild World.  I know there were complaints about how long it took to join towns on the Switch version.  I wonder if Switch 2 took care of that. You can now have 12 players (not just 8 ).  SO... it would be cool if we could get several members to join towns. 

I'm definitely going to buy the Switch 2 update.

Pokémon™ Legends: Z-A has come out for the Switch 2.  There appeared to be some dogging on the early game.  However, It appears to be getting decent ratings though lower for a Pokemon game.   I watched my son play some of the newer Pokemon games... but I didn't get into them like I did many of the older variants (yellow, red, blue...etc).  Pokémon™ Legends: Z-A looks interesting for sure... just curious if it's worth the price of admission.

I need to find some time to Dig in... the game looks really cool.

Many more games are being released or are becoming Steam Deck compatible... and this is awesome.  Has anyone found other games that are awesome for the Steam Deck?

What gaming related trends or favorites have grown off of you?  In other words... what did you absolutely love as a kid or even not that long ago that you just don't love anymore?

This could be a certain game, certain game style, or multiple other angles... it doesn't have to be negative as sometimes it's just a part of growing up, moving forward and getting older.

It seems there were Left 4 Dead 2 updates done in 2020 called the Last Stand which appear to be more community driven.  There were also minor updates in Feb 2025 called out on Steam.  This includes new achievements, campaigns, survival maps and bug fixes!  I think we are going to try to get all the new  (and old) achievements.

@SpartanEvolved and I played a quick round of Counter-Strike 2 and got curb stomped thanks to the goobers we had on our team lolz

Tron: Ares came out October 10, 2025. I was (am) very interested in this movie and lost track of release date with many lift events going on right now. This movie looked awesome and has Nine Inch Nails in the soundtrack!  The songs in the trailer sounded awesome as well.

I have not read many reviews as I don't want it spoiled and also get tired of the negativity.  I'm pumped to see this movie!  It looks like there aren't many showings left lol... so I need to get on the ball.

Has anyone else checked out this movie?  Are you excited to see it?  Waiting until it's released to the masses? What do you think about the soundtrack?

Bumping up an old thread.

In several topics, I talk about my oled switch and buying it in 2021 but never opening it. However, I bought the Switch 2.  So I opened the OLED Switch, hooked it up for a month and then... put it away after moving to the Switch 2.  This was to ensure it had a little play before going to the Switch 2 lol.  Yes yes... 1st world problems.

lol the OLED Switch is great ... but the Switch 2 definitely is a decent leap ahead of the OLED Switch.

While Ms. Pac-Man was not my 1st arcade experience, it definitely was a major experience in terms of overall gameplay in arcades, restaurants... AND even dentist/Orthodontist Appointments (yes, not kidding).  The Dentist/Orthodontist had Donkey Kong Jr and Ms. Pac-Man.  That was pretty cool and you don't see that any more these days.

There was one at the old Chi-Chi's restaurant that used to be in town.  We would wait in line (back in the day) to get in ... and they had a Ms. Pac-Man sit down machine to play!  I put a ton of quarters in this machine... and got pretty decent at playing Ms. Pac-Man.

To this day, I have fond memories of playing Ms. Pac-Man.  What about you?  I literally had hours upon hours into this game straight in the arcade.  I held some high scores for awhile lol... at the "localized" arcade.  It's been a long time since I have played this game on any format, but the old sit down cabinet arcade style game (with original controls) is by far my favorite.

Did the same thing happen in incognito mode as well? One other thing you might try, and it's a little effort, try using Firefox containers and see if you get the same issue.

I use Firefox containers for several workloads that require dedicated tabs. This helps with that scenario.
