Looks like more Studio Drama:

Sony Addresses Drama With Disney Over Spider-Man Rights and Departure from Marvel Cinematic Universe - ET

I figured this would happen again and there would be another rift.  It was amazing some of these studios were coming and working together as long as they did.  Looks like that may be coming to an end.

The claims of both studios are interesting... I wonder what it is... time, money, or both?  Here's to hope they can work it out and re-unite.  I think everyone wins... and hopefully both companies can do it for the better of the story lines and movies.

There are 4 new PlayStation controllers coming out :

Electric Purple, Red Camouflage, Titanium Blue, and Rose Gold DS4.  There is also a Gold Headset coming out.

I'm a sucker for extra controllers ... I'm generally replacing my main every 2 years as well.  Anyone else looking at these?  What are you favorite colors so far.

Post it up!

That's pretty cool @CreepinDeth  Thank you for sharing the link.

This is something I Think I would EVENTUALLY like to do for my Nintendo 64.   Cool stuff... so tempting right now.   I need to wait a bit.

yeah.... I'm trying to learn these a lot more.   They are essential... Especially when you are running server type environments.  It's cool AND very helpful when you can see what's actually going on.  You almost have to be doing a lot with the system to really need them though.  I'm sure standard users rarely have to look into the logs outside of updating issues...etc.

Have you looked into these on your system @retro junkie ?

@retro junkie and @CreepinDeth That's what we need... an open source topic.  Good suggestion!  Start one up :)

Were you having issues with HDMI out on Linux?

@CreepinDeth In terms of serious competition with a serious graphics card... there really isn't a comparison.  IF you are looking for just an on chip cpu graphics  that can do some gaming, this might be good.   I'd really like to see some serious benchmarks... AND actual game play.

It would be cool if this was something that …. if on your business pc... you could still perform some gaming lol  ;D

HM... I don't think they have one here.  That's sort-of what I was trying to do back in the day.  I think there's still a market for retro stuff... but idk how much going into the future.  Right now during decent times, the market for those items are good.  The moment there are economic issues, the products sit for awhile.

@retro junkie … you have me interested... I'll have to look for those stores.

Hey @Grindspine check my above comment on Terminal Velocity :D

You know... Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had some very memorable sounds / music.   The other game... Super Smash Bros Ultimate has one of the better sound tracks I've heard.  While some of it has continued with the Smash series... it's very rememberable and they really did improve upon and introduce really cool new music.

You know... I never really dug GAmestop.  I've used them at times in the past... however, most mom and pop stores have closed in town.  Game Crazy Is gone.   IF there is going to be a store, I'd at least like a Gamestop to still exist.  There's really nothing else anymore.  It is cool to see other types of gaming products in store too.   Their mugs though... NEED TO BE dishwasher and microwave safe lol... come on

I purposely shop locally for things to give local businesses money.  I also order online.

I know a lot of gamers like their digital copies, but I'm still a fan of having physical copies of games.  There are times I really do like digital copies... but it seems that digital is really starting to kill off stores now.

While In a way I think it's justice... in another way, I hate to see some of the last game stores close.

This is a pretty cool article. It's about time on chip / board graphics are getting a boost. As the article states... the performance has been nearly flat for years.. And now, they've come out with about double the performance. Is about time.

Now.. I'd like to see what you could do gaming wise with this.  It makes sense though.

Here's the article:
Intel's Gen 11 graphics has improved so much, we may have to stop making jokes about it -

What are your thoughts?   Post it up!

Lol ... so I guess it's fair to say... don't  piss off Zelda fans.

Kotaku has a pretty interesting article:
Zelda Fans Protest, Smash PS4 Over Very Similar Chinese Game -

It appears there's  a game in China that will be released called  Genshin Impact ... it has very striking similarities to Zelda Breath of the Wild.  Boy... did Zelda fans have a negative reaction.

Check out the article. Comments, thoughts?  Post it up!

This is good news.

SOOO.... where do you go for your logs when there is an issue?

IT's big, it's heavy... it's wood.  IT's log... lol  ;D

I found a pretty good article on Linux Logs.   I've been working to learn this better and in more depth.  I accomplished my 1st 2 Linux certs... but they do not teach you everything.  They are good for forcing learning, but you really need to re-enforce that learning with more practice and experience.  Keep digging and keep hitting your head against the proverbial wall.

This is the article I dug.  I know there are MANY different Linux and Unix flavors and variants… but we have to start some where... and This is where we are starting:

20 Linux Log Files that are Located under /var/log Directory -

Now... you may know the most logs are located under /var/log/… great...  but keep in mind, some businesses / admins change those up.    More on this later.

Thoughts? Comments?  questions?   Post it up!  Continue the Linux Discussion.

Alright...  I made some progress in Sniper Elite 4 on PS4... and I got another 2nd place in Tetris 99 on the switch.  ... always the bridesmaid, never the bride lol.  ;D

@targetrasp - I'm pumped for this ... I finally sunk the pre-order.  I balked a couple times .. But did it.  I'm looking forward to this title.

@retro junkie do you have  experience with the mana games?

I'm resurrecting this topic... What else did you have or do you remember from the 80's?

What about Micro Machines?  Best Speed Talking commercials as well. You cannot get better than that.   They were pretty cool... especially when they brought the jets out.

@AngelBob and @retro junkie Did you all play together yet?  You should join up to play.

I'm hoping to get some free time soon to game a little bit. projects....

oh yeah  … @AngelBob  … we play Minecraft or used to play on mobile devices quite a bit.  It was pretty cool to make levels on Apple devices when it 1st came out.  Now they morphed it into a much larger game.  Minecraft is definitely a great game to play.

The battle mini games are a blast too

I am not... I believe it was @Mai Valentine or @Aya-Kun that used to play this on the Console.

My guess is the game is a console port to PC.   I was looking into this game as well.. but haven't pulled the trigger.   $26+ is still a bit salty too me with a large backlog as it is.

I'm a bit excited about both games!

Sniper Elite 4 and Wipeout Omega Collection.  ESPECIALLY excited about Sniper Elite 4... I love the Sniper Elite series.

Who else is downloading these?

Post it up!

That's crazy... @AngelBob  Not cool.   That threat crap does not belong in video games.

Glad it's chilled a bit now.

Oh really? That's Interesting @AngelBob .   Well... bummer they didn't enjoy it.   We have a bit of fun playing it... but definitely don't play it all the time.  Maybe the older kids don't enjoy Animal Crossing either?

@targetrasp give it a shot... this weekend?   It's really worth a play .. a fun blast from the past.

@retro junkie would appreciate this title as well.

What about @CreepinDeth ?

Retro Gaming and Hardware / Re: Borrowed meme for PS2
« on: July 25, 2019, 12:38:22 PM »
yeah... That's what I still have my original PS3.  Still works like a charm, though it does burn somewhat hot.  It always has.  I can go back and play old SOCOM for the PS2...  which...  I used to really like that game.  I liked it for the PSP as well... that was a lot of fun.  that had to have been 13 years ago at least... wow.

The PS3 is what really turned my opinion of Sony and their gaming systems.  They didn't have the weird graphics they used to have... like the PS1 and that of the PS2 (which higher def... but still had they weird pixelated graphics).

With that.. the PS3 turned me.  I dug it a lot.   You all probably remember how much I didn't like Sony from the way back machine.
