Lol.  Yeah. That is a game I need to put more time into as well. Tiny Metal was  great recommendation by @Frodus  not sure he if he just lurks now or what. But hopefully he sees it.

General Discussion / Falcon and Winter Soldier
« on: April 02, 2021, 10:35:43 PM »
Alright... who is checking this one out?   So far, I think the Falcon and Winter Soldier is pretty great.   The Winter Soldier movies and episodes always tend to be a bit darker.  So far, the 1st 3 episodes are great.  I cannot wait until the next episode.  I really hope this is longer than 1 season.

Thoughts, comments... post it up!

It's turrican.  It's old school gaming and pretty good... or at least as good as it used to br  ;D. Did you open yours @targetrasp ?

This game is a lot of fun. The multiplayer on the bowser portion is pretty good as well.   The multiplayer is definitely better than Oddysey... where you only get to be the hat. The animation of Bowser and his attacks are pretty cool as well!

Definitely worth a buy or at least a play.

Do they still pay for themselves quickly?  I thought you pretty much had to use ASIC rigs to make it worthwhile  these days.

Looks like we need to continue in a Polymega topic, @targetrasp  ;D

Editing... nevermind... it still hasn't shipped.  However, looks like we need a polymega topic  ;D

I can't believe @Grindspine doesn't have a comment about a TMNT game  ;D

This just arrived in the mailbox... nails in the coffins:

We are closing PlayStation™Store on PlayStation®3 on July 2nd, 2021 and on PlayStation®Vita devices on August 27th 2021. Additionally, the remaining purchase functionality for PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) will also retire on July 2nd, 2021.  After thoughtful consideration, we decided to make these changes in an effort to focus our resources for PlayStation Store on PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5, which will enable us to enhance the customer experience even further. We thank you for your support on these platforms throughout the years.

What does this mean for you?
You will no longer be able to purchase PS3, PS Vita and PSP digital content, including games and video content.

You will also no longer be able to make in-game purchases through games on PS3, PS Vita and PSP.

While the PSP storefront was previously closed in 2016, the remaining PSP purchase functionality (e.g. in-game purchases) will now be fully retired.

What about content you already own?
• You will still be able to download your owned PS3, PS Vita, and PSP content, including games and video content.
• You can download your owned content onto your PS3, PS Vita, or PSP by accessing the Download List on the respective device.
• If you have purchased a PS3/PS Vita cross-buy bundle and have only downloaded either the PS3 or PS Vita version, you will need to download the other version prior to the closure of PlayStation™Store on the relevant device.
• Video content that you own can be streamed on PS3, PS4 or PS5 through the My Videos app, or on mobile devices through the PlayStation™Video app.
• You will still be able to re-download and play game titles you have claimed through PlayStation®Plus as long as you remain a member of the service.

What about vouchers, wallet funds, and cross-buy content?
• You will still be able to redeem game and PlayStation®Plus vouchers on PS3, PS Vita, and PSP devices once PlayStation™Store and purchase functionality for these devices close.
• You will no longer be able to redeem PSN wallet fund vouchers (e.g. gift cards) on PS3, PS Vita, and PSP devices once PlayStation™Store and purchase functionality for these devices close.
• Your PSN wallet funds will remain in your PSN account, but you will only be able to use your wallet funds to purchase PS4 and PS5 products on PlayStation™Store on the web, PlayStation®App, or on PS4 and PS5 consoles.
• You will still be able to purchase cross-buy content through PlayStation™Store on the web, PlayStation®App, or on PS4 and PS5 consoles and access both the PS4 version and the PS3/PS Vita/PSP versions.

Where can you find out more?
Read our FAQ for more information:
PS Vita messaging service
As of June 28th, 2021*, users on PlayStation Vita will no longer be able to use the messaging service. Although messaging on PS Vita is going away, your messages will still be available to you by using the messaging service on PS5 consoles, PS4 consoles, and via mobile on PS App.

*Termination will start on June 28th, 2021, actual date of the termination may differ by region.

Holy crap. This is still sold out and it appears the situation is worse.  8 year old cards are even going for a couple hundy - confirmed by @targetrasp lol... I haven't bought a card In forever as I've been avoiding building.  Hard to believe the card is worth something this far in the game.

Mike Patton / Faith No More is pretty cool.  I thought the theme song was decent.  I think the styling of this game j's great... I'm surprised In some ways there is a market for this game and styling in 2021.  It's cool that many new games and genres have reached back to the styling games had in years past.   It's great that style hasn't died.

@retro junkie - once you spend more time with it, I'm curious on what you think.

@targetrasp is polymega going to be a thing?

Lol. I held off... didn't want to spend money at the time on it... wish I would've.    I would've opened it and played it though... the collection of games on the mini are awesome.

Happy belated birthday @Snatcher_L !  I hope it Is and was awesome. Enjoy your digital cake!

If you receive the gift of gaming, post it up!

We just need to hurry up and build more chip manufacturing plants stateside.

There's definitely a lot of demand and opportunity for that right now. I don't know how long it would take to build a factory... but probably just in time for demand to drop off lol.

Did anyone see this?

It's been awhile since I've played a TMNT game. This actually looks like it might be decent.  It has old arcade style action... even one of the enemy guys are thrown at the screen.   This appears to be a throwback to the Super Nintendo Turtles in Time. It has somewhat of a classic theme as well.  @retro junkie - this one may be for you.

I figure @MegaDrive20XX will be tracking this game!

I wish I would've picked one of these up... It looks like the value has jumped and it's harder to get them now.    I Couldn't pick one up around the time they came out and now it seems the boat has sailed.

Are you guys still enjoying the Turbo Grafx-16 Mini?

How about you, @retro junkie ?

Man... my Doom Switch was supposed to be complete... and came cart only.   I did receive a pretty good deal... so I haven't returned it.  I'll probably keep it and try to get a new or complete version.  It seems that it is becoming more rare... so I won't lose money on my cart only version.

It is pretty cool to have Doom on a handheld like this...

I've been playing this a bit.  It's a good blast from the past.   I've mainly broke out Super Turrican for the time being.   Is it worth $30?  I don't know... I suppose it's cool to find all 4 games in a physical package.   That's cool...  I'm wondering if this game will become a rarity.

@retro junkie - Super Turrican is a fairly difficult game.. not sure how much exposure you've had to it... and I'm not sure how much there is between Super and Mega Turrican.   I'm not looking it up either... to see the difference when I get to Mega Turrican.

Yeah... that is hitting really hard right now.   It's pretty crazy how there's a shortage right now.   Automotive has demand right now and they cannot fill due to this shortage.

Hopefully it's not hurting you guys bad right now.

Yeah... some seem to have bot protection, but it only seems to keep humans from buying lol  ;D

Ah... yeah... idk why I thought you had a Switch. @Grindspine   Once PlayStation 5 is able to be bought, you will be able tp use PlayStation 4 game discs in it.

I'm thinking about picking up a PS4 copy as well.  Thinking about it...

General Discussion / Re: Wandavision - Is anyone watching?
« on: March 08, 2021, 11:29:21 AM »
I'm really hoping they add to it. But I thinj Wandavision is done.  It said series finale... then ending was pretty crazy.

Spoiler: ShowHide
so... I'm not sure what happened to the white vision, aka cataract.  I have a feeling we are going to find out soon.
Seeing Wanda obsessively studying the book of the damned was a bit on the creepy side.  I didn't follow the comics intently, I'm sure there's a direction I am missing.  Hopefully she doesn't end up being on the bad side.  It's not looking good right now.

Don't click this if you do not want spoilers.  Here's an interesting article on the finale:

@Grindspine LOL... yes... it does.

and no... the PlayStation 5 is huge.  It is bigger than the original PlayStation 3.  Check this link:
PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5 Size Comparison In Pictures -

yeah... it's hitting ever industry right now.   It's hard to believe you still cannot get a PlayStation 5 this far after launch.  I gave up trying to get one.  I simply lost care and I refuse to buy at the scalped price.   If no one bought the scalped prices... It wouldn't happen.  But that drive to have the current system is driving the scalpers.

It's frustrating... but I simply won't buy and will wait.

@Helskyth - Happy Birthday.  We hope it's a great day!   If you get the gift of gaming, post up your loot!

Also, enjoy your digital cake  ;D

@Grindspine  Check the listing. It's on PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.  You have a Switch. Right?    I thought you did.

I preordered the Switch version. Im thinking of buying PS4 version as well...

@retro junkie - yeah. I had to buy this one...

@CreepinDeth - how did you come up with what's in your spoiler tag?  I just caught up on all the episodes as of Friday.

This series has had so many twists in it now... it's pretty crazy. I'm not 100% certain where it is going after that last episode lol.  So... can't wait until the next one comes out.   I'm hoping they have a few seasons of this.  Not sure how long this one will last.
