Some of them are pretty cool.  They've had Star Wars and other themes.

For example:
Loot Crate - Amazon.com

This batch comes with a bunch of Popculture stuff:
•  4+ items from your favorite pop culture franchises. Unbox epic collectibles from the best movies, TV shows, comics, video games & more!
•  $45+ MSRP value in every crate. Get more geeky bang for your buck!
•  Licensed & exclusive collectibles, gear, figures & more. Our fandom specialists are always hard at work researching and brainstorming new products!
•  Fun surprises! Look forward to a new mystery crate every month with Loot Crate.
•  Guaranteed t-shirt in every crate. Outfit your wardrobe with awesome pop culture tees!

I haven't bought into these.. but the Star Wars Loot Crate boxes were really cool.  They would be fun for Birthday Gifts as well... though it is a lot of new stuff just sitting around lol.

While I may have a piece or two sitting on my desk at home and at work I just really don't have the room. I've got bookcases going from the floor to the ceiling full of movies and games, systems that outnumber inputs, charging stations, controller rests, and portables taking up more room that i'd like. There's one room where I've mounted 4, 6, and 8 section cube organizers to the wall and put fabric bins in them to get the clutter up.

LOL... I still need to do that at the current place.  I want to build a book shelf.. we really need a place for all of our books.  That's the main reason I haven't bought into any of the Loot Crates.   The Star Wars editions were really tempting and had cool Loot.  But... I just don't have the space nor want to continually store a lot of "crap" around the house... as cool as some of this stuff is.

I don't judge anyone for buying into these... some of the stuff looks pretty cool and unique.

I haven't, but it would be cool for gifts. My Family has fun watching Lamarr Wilson on Youtube open them up.

They could definitely be good gifts.  They aren't too expensive and they contain really unique items... so unique, many cannot seem to be found outside these boxes.

Subscribing to them every month... I Couldn't imagine having all that stuff sitting around.  The socks wouldn't  be sitting around though... but they just aren't work attire either lol  :))

Those videos are pretty cool.  Guava Juice had a couple different ones too... the Ebay mystery boxes.   Crazy enough... $10,000 and $20,00 mystery box.  I have no idea who would spring for those outside of shows.   Heck... over $50, I really want to know what I'm getting.  I Think he may have done a $100k box as well.   in one of his boxes, he made out a ton on  bitcoin that had massively appreciated.
