We have been re-watching Hawkeye as posted in the Binge Watching shows thread.  It's very hard to believe this was 4 years ago already. It is such a great series and hoping they do more with it.  This was truly a different time in history and this show was unique.

I probably noticed this before, however, there is a movie character that plays a Bob in 2 different movies.

Bob - Baby On Board in Top Gun: Maverick is also Bob in the Thunderbolts who becomes Sentry.  They are the same actor Lewis Pullman. However, I cant help but think they called him Bob in a call out to his roll in Top Gun: Maverick.

Kirby Air Riders for the Nintendo Switch 2 is the sequel to the 2003 GameCube game Kirby Air Ride.  I didn't get a whole lot of play on Kirby Air Ride in the past.

Kirby Air Riders has my interest. It looks like a lot of fun... and is not in your standard Kirby style. It's basically a racing version of Kirby.

Luigi's Mansion was Added to Nintendo Online was added on October 30th to the Gamecube library.

This was one of those titles back in the day I was not sure that would be good.  I ended up enjoying it immensely and it became one of my Gamecube favorites.  Not sure I'll get much playtime on the Switch Online Gamecube library, but this game is definitely worth a play.

I saw this case at Best Buy and thought it was pretty cool.  This is a Zelda case that fits the Switch 1 console.  I thought the coin looking zipper handle was also pretty cool.  Not sure how sturdy it is... but I wish it was also available for the Switch 2.

I missed this release.  It looks like Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment was release for the Switch 2 on November 6th, 2024.  The description is fairly basic lol - Battle hordes of enemies in the untold story of the Imprisoning War. This game is not a sequel to the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity... at least that's what I understand.

This game also has local 2 player co-op... which appears to be pretty cool.  I miss some of the local multiplayer styled games like Triforce Heroes.  This game looks pretty cool.  I'm probably going to wait for a discount (if that ever happens).  However, this game is definitely on my radar.  How about you?  What do you like or looking forward to with this title?

This game looks Amazing... beyond amazing.  Battlefield 6 has been released and is live and active.  I definitely am going to pick this game up... just not sure of timing.  Battlefield 6 is a massive all out war, very similar to predecessor Battlefield games, in modern times.

I'm a little late to this party... however, we just finished up Cobra Kai Season 6.  We had the chance to use a family Netflix account as I've been fairly anti-subscription (or at least reducing subscriptions) in the past year.

Cobra Kai Season 6 was interesting and pretty well done.  The earlier episodes seemed like the fight sequences were a bit more rough (out of practice) ... however, that changed about 30-40% of the way into the season.  Obviously, there was a lot of drama which is par for the cobra Kai course.  There are a lot of twists and turns... especially in the last 3 episodes. This is also the last season... which is pretty crazy (but expected) that this is series finale.

On top of this season, what are your thoughts and memories of the series over the last 7 years?  Your favorites, annoyances...etc.  Feel free to share!    It's crazy how fast the last 7 years have gone and how many life changes have happened since then... it blows my mind a bit.

The Nintendo Switch 2 has been hitting amazing sales figures.  They've sold 10.36 million consoles to date.  It's the highest global sales figures of any Nintendo platform in the first 4 months of launch.

I'm not surprised.  It's a pretty cool console and the features are pretty great. If they end up fixing(getting rid of) the (stupid in my opinion) game key cards and a couple other issues, this would be one of the coolest consoles Nintendo has launched.  Now they just need more games lol.

There have been many layoffs again recently with many notable layoffs at AWS (14k), Target and several others. Now it looks like SquareEnix also is laying off US and UL workers. It looks like they're going to rely more heavily on AI for deployment.

They stated 100-140 UK works and the number of US workers are not yet known.

The article mentioned SquareEnix is going to focus more on the Japanese game market.

Pokémon™ Legends: Z-A has come out for the Switch 2.  There appeared to be some dogging on the early game.  However, It appears to be getting decent ratings though lower for a Pokemon game.   I watched my son play some of the newer Pokemon games... but I didn't get into them like I did many of the older variants (yellow, red, blue...etc).  Pokémon™ Legends: Z-A looks interesting for sure... just curious if it's worth the price of admission.

It seems there were Left 4 Dead 2 updates done in 2020 called the Last Stand which appear to be more community driven.  There were also minor updates in Feb 2025 called out on Steam.  This includes new achievements, campaigns, survival maps and bug fixes!  I think we are going to try to get all the new  (and old) achievements.

Tron: Ares came out October 10, 2025. I was (am) very interested in this movie and lost track of release date with many lift events going on right now. This movie looked awesome and has Nine Inch Nails in the soundtrack!  The songs in the trailer sounded awesome as well.

I have not read many reviews as I don't want it spoiled and also get tired of the negativity.  I'm pumped to see this movie!  It looks like there aren't many showings left lol... so I need to get on the ball.

Has anyone else checked out this movie?  Are you excited to see it?  Waiting until it's released to the masses? What do you think about the soundtrack?

While Ms. Pac-Man was not my 1st arcade experience, it definitely was a major experience in terms of overall gameplay in arcades, restaurants... AND even dentist/Orthodontist Appointments (yes, not kidding).  The Dentist/Orthodontist had Donkey Kong Jr and Ms. Pac-Man.  That was pretty cool and you don't see that any more these days.

There was one at the old Chi-Chi's restaurant that used to be in town.  We would wait in line (back in the day) to get in ... and they had a Ms. Pac-Man sit down machine to play!  I put a ton of quarters in this machine... and got pretty decent at playing Ms. Pac-Man.

To this day, I have fond memories of playing Ms. Pac-Man.  What about you?  I literally had hours upon hours into this game straight in the arcade.  I held some high scores for awhile lol... at the "localized" arcade.  It's been a long time since I have played this game on any format, but the old sit down cabinet arcade style game (with original controls) is by far my favorite.

Wut wuut... I was pretty surprised that this was announced!  Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Free Update.  The Switch 2 version shows graphical updates, Switch 2 mouse features, additional online people and new items.  The free update to Version 3.0 is pretty cool and there are a bunch of changes!  There's also a new resort being added.

OK... I thought I already posted this, but that's not the case.   This is the 1st game that caused a major "what the heck is going on" moment.  Gears of War: Reloaded has been released for a non-Xbox system.  Gears of War is now on the PlayStation 5.   Mind is blown. 

This is a weird time in gaming for me.  On 1 hand, this is an awesome event.  On the other hand, you know there's something just not right about Gears of War being on something else other than an Xbox.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is on Amazon Prime and it has been pretty good.  We watched the original Terminal List and liked it.  Both series are pretty dark... so if you're in the mood for a comedy, this isn't your show lol 

Without spoilers - It's about special forces guys caught in the middle of duty, orders and protecting each other.  After they are discharged, they go into covert ops and aren't really sure who they are working for during their missions... which leads to twists and turns in the story.

Has anyone watched Terminal List: Dark Wolf?  Overall, it's pretty good!

Halo: Campaign Evolved launches on PS5 in 2026. There are new campaigns, new graphical engines and more.  There's a lot to be excited about in this release!

So... I have to agree. Hell has frozen over.  The apocalypse is ready to begin.  Who ever would've thought Halo would've been launched on another console.  Let alone, active proper cross play is also a thing!  I never thought I'd see this day in gaming history.

This also begs the question... will the Zbox hardware continue?  It sounded like they were going to release more hardware at some point... but... these events keep happening.

I've been hearing and reading that some people prefer Linux over Windows for gaming... and others prefer Windows over Linux. 

More and more, Linux and even Mac has become more and more suitable for gaming.  This is great for more choices to game with... and choices / competition are always great to have when it comes to products.

so what are your thoughts?  Why do you like Linux or Windows over one another?  If you like them both equally, why?

What is your favorite Xbox Console and console design?   For example, it could be the Xbox 360 Halo 3 edition... or the Halo Reach Xbox 360, or any of the other released Xbox Consoles.  There have been many console editions released over the years (though it seems all companies are not releasing the custom designed consoles).

The Mario + Rabbids Dual Pack is an Amazon Exclusive for the Nintendo Switch that contains both released Mario + Rabbids games.  I thought we had topics on both of those games on the forum, but we do not!

The games included are Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.  These are pretty fun games in an XCOM style... which is a turn based tactical style game.  I am a sucker for these type of games. 

This pack is a great deal.  However, my only annoyance (and it's a big one for me) is that the games are a Code in the box.    Other than that, this is a great collection.  Right now, it is $29... it was on sale just recently for about $25.  See the discount post in the deals section:

This is a great collection and is a great package of games for a great price.  I wish it was a physical release, but if you don't care, pick this up.  You might be able to find more deals coming up for the holidays.

Rick Henderson... yes, another Shmup!     Am I on a Shmup kick?  perhaps! 

This is a 16-bit styled shooter ... in your typical Shmup format.  You can get it for the Nintendo Switch or Playstation 5 in standard edition or Nintendo Switch in the Extra edition.  This game apparently was released in the digital platforms on the Nintendo store (and potentially others).  This is a physical edition and will be released November 7, 2025.

Below is a screenshot of the contents of the Nintendo Switch Special edition.  There's even a floppy with a USB key in the floppy lol.

I'm a bit excited for another Shmup... I like Shmups, shmups are my favorite. I am going to wait though to see if I can get it at a bit of a discount.  The Extra Edition looks really cool... though I probably won't bite at that version.
