As I've mentioned in other places I'm really interested in getting into this game. I adore the idea but it seems the grind and the brutal difficulty is a deal breaker. At this point I'm a collector who casually games and from what I've read about Elite Dangerous I'd not get anything out of it.

Someone please change my mind so I can buy this game and not ever install it!

(using the general discussion section as an example)

Right now when I click unread it shows only 5 unread topics, 3 from the general discussion section.

when I load the home page and click general discussion I show 8 with the new flag. The three showing unread in both places are the threads thoughts on layout, best buy bathrooms, the following domains... the ones only flagged when I access the general discussion section from the home page are "how has graphics, testing mod, e-notify, 2 ways to view, and thinking of combining"

I'm assuming if "new" flag is synonomous with unread. I mean if someone amends their post wouldn't it show in my unread section as well as be flagged new? Surely 5 items just in general discussion weren't amended so that's probably a bad line of thought to start with...

I remember getting absolutely embarrassed by every Japanese player I ever played over wifi on the ds.

XBONE made people mad because they were originally going to require daily online authentication and the they were pushing DRM not to mention what MAI mentioned!

Gamers revolted and Xbox changed their mind before release but not before disenfranchising the masses.

I've finally sold myself on the system because the PS4 won't play 4k blurays and sea of theives is an xbox one exclusive thats releasing soon.

I can't figure out what they're doing. I got Sea of Thieves and Ni No Kuni 2 for the discount and both release in under 2 weeks...

I bought mine (Parker's) at a huge discount so it was worth it. I feel for those who paid anywhere near 100 for these things.

If you really like the Lego series (Think Lego Pirates of the Caribbean) then I'd buy it at a deep discount and not feel bad about it.

If you look at lego best at wort lists no one has the same opinions outside of Star Wars being highly ranked. I even saw one with lego Dimensions on it... so completely disregard anything I said.

I'm excited, although there's so much coming out in the next two weeks it may get lost in the shuffle, I've preordered a ton of games in the last 7 days...

Skull and Bones comes out later. Sea of Thieves is a xbone exclusive that comes out in another week or so.

Typically I'll click on my name and go to unread to view anything new, but I've started to notice that sometimes the unread will be empty but when I go into the individual boards there will be posts flagged as new that I've not seen. At least once that same thing has happened except for the posts marked new weren't actually new.


EGA seemed to do similar

Apparently I've been living in a cave since last August but I assumed since Amazon stopped discounting games their first two weeks on the market they also dropped the preorder bonus for Prime members. When looking at games nothing was mentioned about discount at all so I just assumed it was gone. It seems the preorder discount still exists, its just not mentioned until the item is in your cart.

I'd imagine i'm probably the one person not to realize this but just in case here you guys go.

This game may just renew my interest in the XBOX one. I'm always wanting a good pirate game and since Sid Miers Pirates there's been nothing of mention. It's a cool genre that got beat to death in movies and tv for a while but video games haven't been able to capitalize on it well.

Admittedly I've seen reletively nothing on the game. I've not read a review, discussion, or seen a minute of game play. I'm tempted to buy into the game blind just to limit expectations.

Is anyone else here interested in the game or jumping aboard when it launches?

My xbone will become my 4k blu ray player with the rare replay thrown in for 10 minutes of nostalgia. rc proam was an amazing game........ for about 10 minutes

its meh for a lego game, worse for trying to keep up with the portal, even worse for losing interest in the game

I've been keeping an eye on it on Steam. It's not something I think I'd play a lot, but in the right mood its very smash tv-ish

I don't think I even know where the bathrooms are in the two local Best Buy stores...

Not really a public restroom fan to start with so I think they're all pretty awful.

For the PC I'd rather have a digital copy. There seems to be little interest in vintage PC.

For console or handheld I absolutely want the disc or cart. For the money I have invested in these things, its nice to have a way to get something back, or in some cases to watch my investment appreciate. Plus I really like to collect.

I can't see or realize a secondary market for digital. I'm sure its possible, I just can't see it.

I want to be able to touch, restore, and display a physical collection. I'm confident digital will keep these gems working on newer hardware so for me its less about being able to play the game, and more about being a curator of a collection

The best are the ones that are delayed on purpose. About the time you're going to click that next button the page shifts and you haphazardly click on an ad.

I thought nerdcore was just rap.. YTCracker, McChris, MC Frontalot - and we're going back turn of the century napster era. We need something more metal sounding to describe it. I'm sure it exists I just don't have it.

organization and design are not strong points of mine. Pretty, slick, easy to navigate typically means less content. Forums and discussion boards are typically a quasi-organized mess at best. people like us have difficulties presenting information to the masses.

If your IT work has exposed you to much having to do with Oracle I'll have little difficulty making my point. They make the property management system we use at work and every single interface that connects other vendors systems and equipment to it. If I change a piece of equipment or update an operating system I have to then reach out to a million different people to find one person that knows anything about anything. Half the time it takes telling the sales rep (because they're immediately reachable) you're not going to pay the bill to get bumped to the right person or department. If I decide not to talk to a person there's an extensive knowledge base wrapped up in support program that takes a phd to decode and navigate BUT anything you ever needed to fix your problem is there... somewhere.

I've ran into this in may aspects of computer based technology. We just can't seem to come up with a good way to present information. I'm in the middle of putting network attached storage on our back office network so all departments have instant access to information and forms. Outside of handing out crayons and coloring books I've had zero luck.

I go off topic (maybe more topic adjacent?) to illustrate what has to be your frustrations. I've visited a lot of forums and will say that if it wasn't for a search bar I'd not find anything. The visually pleasing forums have no content and the robust forums look like a tornado tore through a flea market. I think if you can do what you're trying to do on the level it seems like you're shooting for you should go into design.

the metal version of nerdcore... any hipster name for this yet?

last one I played was TMNT on the 360, I think it was the first game I got 100% achievement progress on. It was vanilla at best and didn't take long to complete. Afterwards I've completely lost touch.

Is that a one man show? it looks like the same guy is playing the bass, guitar, drums, and keyboard.
