@Jack  I agree with you... I went in not expecting a ton.  I just wanted to see a Star Wars movie.  I Thought it was fantastic.   Too bad they didn't do more of this from the beginning... but they did tie it together well.

How are the control?   Does it play well compared to other Shmups?   I'm curious!    The reproduction / home brew carts are interesting.  I was actually getting into some of this stuff back in the days of when I ran the business.   I was hoping to maybe create a segment to create games like this in combination with other home brew companies and attempt to sell some of them in the store.    For some of the CD based games with soundtracks... I was going to work on some of the music.

However, this never came to fruition... but it was getting somewhat close at one point.  I had a few people interested and was talking to a few companies.  I don't even remember who they were anymore... 15-16 years later.  I cannot believe it's been that long.


Anyway... cool post!   It's cool to see this work and that home brew is still somewhat alive in this fashion.

@Grindspine  Quake 3 was Dreamcast... HOWEVER, they did have a Sega Saturn Quake!

you know... I still have my Saturn.  I was thinking of selling it.  I have Nights complete in box with controller, Christmas nights I believe, tempest 2000, Mega Man X4 ... and a few others.  I saw it was going for a decent amount... and was going to sell it.   I played it a few years back... but it just hasn't gotten a lot of play.  Tempest 2000 on the Saturn just wasn't as good as the Atari Jaguar's version... so I really never played it a ton on the Saturn.  Mega Man X4 is pretty good!   So I haven't made the decision to sell it again lol and my 1st decision to sell was derailed.

@AngelBob I tell you... it's weird.  Ever since the update, animations are lagging when playing split screen.  I can only imagine what the issue is at this time.     However, it's cool they have a unified platform... but it's annoying that the performance multiplayer (split screen) isn't as great right now.

Outside of Call of Duty... I have bought 0 games as of late.  I haven't had a chance to play because I've been trying to pass a test... grrrr...

Steambot Chronicles... the name is familiar from a long time ago... but I just cannot remember the game.  Those are pretty solid purchases on the rest!

IDk... @Grindspine I mean... generally once you get above 60fps... I don't think it matters as much.  Definitely if are lower than 60 versus 60 and above... there's a distinct advantage.  But 120-240 fps?  I'm not sure there's really an advantage.

@AngelBob @targetrasp and @retro junkie ... I think I'm going to sign up for the free 7 day trail and check this out.  I heard it's possible to kill all the Mandalorian's in the trial.   I think it's time to see this.

Vodka Dew was great... and... I cannot wait for this game @targetrasp  lol.   BUT.... BUUUTTTTTT.... I have a big reservation that they will be able to have the same appeal as before.   It's just a different time and place.  Newer SNK Playmore games just don't have the same appeal for me.   I like some of the newer KOF games... but the newer Samurai Shodown... just didn't do it for me.  That was my favorite fighter growing up as well.

I hope New Windjammers is absolutely amazing... I Really do.

@targetrasp They really do have some decent older DS stuff here and there.  some rare stuff too... but they're pretty good about knowing the values of all their games.

@targetrasp I took a look recently at Gamestop for older system's games.... they don't seem to have PS2 games here.   There are some Wii and older DS games... but nothing older than PS3 on the Sony front.  Since my PS3 plays PS1 and PS2 games inherently... I Would be down to acquiring some of the older games.  I used to dig playing some of the older SOCOM games on my PS3.

lol @targetrasp ... it does look like a Kylo Ren or Darth Maul controller.   I'm not sold on it though.  I saw it in person and thought I would like it more... but I didn't.

@Mai Valentine - I hear what you mean... I have 3 controllers... but I Could use a 4th.  I really bought more controllers for the PS3... there's something nice about a fresh new controller though    It's kind of like a new pair of socks.

Alright... who has seen Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?   I thought it was by far the best of the last 3 trilogy... but also... probably one of the better Star Wars movies ever made... rivaling Rogue One.

Without providing spoilers at this time... I'm curious how this movie held up for everyone that has seen it.  Post up your thoughts and opinions of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

@Grindspine Resurrecting an old topic... Right now, I'm using a Corsair RGB mouse.  I forget the model number... it replaced my old Logitech G9x... which I used forever.

I'm pretty happy with Corsair an have used them the last 2-3 years.  I'm not at happy with Logitech these days.  Their designs are a bit odd/off.   I'm hoping they return to better designs.  I guess others like the designs though...

@CreepinDeth yeah... I really want to do a build.  It may not happen for a couple years though.  Things are a little tighter right now.  I hope by summer to clear a few things up.  However, I'm definitely looking to build in the next 2 years.

@Grindspine - did you get it yet? you should create a laptop topic!  Hopefully Discord works well on the laptop lol...maybe you'll end up using that instead of your other machine for Call of Duty.

Speaking of broken laptops... My work laptop has been resurrected 3 times.  Screen has been replaced, motherboard replaced... screen bezel is broke from 1 of the repairs...etc.  I am finally getting a new laptop... but yeah.. lol... we use them well. 

hm... you know... I'm still thinking of getting Diablo 3 for the Switch @targetrasp ... Money is out in other areas right now... but I think I'll get that.  Maybe we could play it a bit.

Super Mario Maker 2... we've really played a lot and created many levels now.

You might be able to skip them @Grindspine , however.... I wouldn't want to.  Iron Man 3 was a pretty good flick.  The Incredible Hulk was also really good.  There are a few things it ties up... albeit small... the General is in other films as well.

I can see where others say that as the Hulk doesn't exactly act like the future Hulk in certain ways.  But it also shows how he's starting to become like he is in the future.  Maybe I'm adding too much to it in my mind.   You should check it out... it's well done.  There's a credit scene that ties some stuff together as well.

It really is shame there wasn't another Hulk Movie.   Definitely check it out again @retro junkie

This was the last of the Marvel MCU movies that I needed to see to have seen them all.   There was a good deal on the Blu-ray and I obtained The Incredible Hulk... and it did not disappoint.

I thought the movie was WELL done.  It sucks there are distribution / rights / license issues... I really think they could've done at least another 1-2 Incredible Hulk movies.   However, they were reduced to making Hulk appearances in other movies due to these issues.  Ed Norton was a great choice... and did a superb job.   He is totally different than Mark Ruffalo ... who in my opinion is an equally good Hulk... just in a different way.

It's definitely not as viewed or talked about in the Marvel MCU... the movie didn't do particularly well in the theaters.  However, this has been typical of Hulk throughout the years.  Personally... I really liked the movie.  They left a potential sequel wide open as well.
