Happy New Year to you and yours from ChickenDinnerGaming.com  ;D

Nice update @Bomber Man

You know... it sucks the mini games are gone.   Those were massively fun.   I really hope they add them back in.  The interface of the bedrock edition is also weird.  The 1st moment you load it up... it takes forever to initially load ANYTHING... I'm talking skins, textures..etc.. as you're converting.  Once done and you're playing, the motion is a tad choppy when you see other character's moving (such as in 2 player split screen).

The unlimited worlds are pretty awesome though... as is cross play.  I like the new update... but I really hope they bring back the mini games.  They were tons of fun.

What do you think @AngelBob ?

What are you  playing and rocking out right now?   Have you done any local multiplayer gaming where several people brought their switches?  We were doing that at work for a short time.  DIablo 3... I wonder how well that works local multiplayer works.  I heard 4 players in close proximity can play locally with their switches.  That sounds like a blast.

I'm still playing Tetris 99... and Luigi's Mansion 3 just came out.  Luigi's looks pretty cool.

If you're playing your switch... what are you rocking out?   Post it up!

we did that for almost 8 years I believe... I Think we started in 2008??  Maybe It was 6 years.  @mastermario moved... but still came back for the Thanksgiving Lan.

I bought everyone Farcry 2 from Best Buy on a Black Friday deal.  I think it was 2008 lol... but it was before StarCraft 2 came out.   We used to LAN StarCraft and some of the other game modes.  They were a lot of fun.

We also started doing gaming cookouts in the Summer before everyone moved away.  My kids are older now... so it was a bit harder to get everything going with all the family stuff going on and changing dynamics too. While that's not a bad thing, it was just different trying to get things organized between all the events taking place.

ok!  Let me see what I can get together.  Hopefully some gaming can be done!

I purchased Gears of War 5 since it was on sale, but I haven't started it yet since I still actually have to finish Gears of War 4.  ???
@Mai Valentine  I really want to buy Gears 5 for the PC... I just haven't done it yet.   I really like that you only need a silver account to play online with a PC.  That's an awesome move and is very attractive for pc gamers that don't really want to buy an Xbone.

@CreepinDeth 1st world problems lol  ;D  I have the same issues at times.

I really haven't bought anything else gaming wise lately outside modern warfare.  I think we bought Luigi's Mansion 3... but that's about it.  My time has really be consumed with Super Mario Maker 2 and Modern Warfare.  Those 2 are enough and take so much of my time as it is... there is no time for anything else really.

lol nice @Grindspine Now she'll have to game too!

@CreepinDeth - heat is definitely a killer of hardware.   A Very efficient power supply will help with this... as well as only utilizing about 40-50% of the load.  You will see a lot less waste of energy to heat.   At least... I did when upgrading.  I've been able to air cool only and have been able to keep my feet under the desk lol  ;D

As @targetrasp mentioned, Noctua makes great coolers.  That's what I have on my CPU.  However, make SURE you watch dimensions... as some of the coolers are very large.

Speaking of this... I'm really hoping to build a new pc next year.  I bought a Dell G15 about 1-1.5 years ago to tide me over.   I highly recommend the laptop ... it's one of the best deals out there for Gaming laptops.   It's a tad larger, but keeps cool under most circumstances.  High intensity gaming... just make sure you're playing on a table tap to not roast the nuggets  ;D  I've had the PC itch for a long time... but my 5 year old build still plays pretty much everything at max settings at 1080p.  I just haven't had a good excuse to build... that and I really didn't want to spend the money again.

sorry @CreepinDeth and @targetrasp ... plans changed for the last weekend.  We ended up doing family stuff.

Are either of you free Christmas or the day after?  I will be busy again this coming weekend with family stuff.

Not sure of the time yet... but thinking early afternoon.  I definitely want to get call of Duty in... however, Diablo 3 would be fun.

Let me know if you are interested.

lol @Mai Valentine Those are 1st world problems... however, they are problems.  At least you could rock the tv on the floor for a bit  ;D

As far as IKEA... I haven't bought much from them... but their SKYDD mineral  oil works AWESOME on Guitar fretboards AS WELL AS wood cutting boards and other types of natural wood that need to be oiled.

We used to always get together on Christmas eve with all the immediate family.  Way back in the yesteryears... we used to do this with all cousins and extended family.  But that ended probably sometime when I was around 6-8 years old.  So we just got together with the immediate family after that.  We always had a lot of people getting together though.   Many of our family members have passed on as well... However, the immediate family is still pretty much the same gathering we do every year.  So this year will be more of the same, but that's a good thing.

Man.. I'd love to get 2 weeks off... right now, it's so crazy, I barely get to take a few days off.  I accepted a new position lately, so I'm hoping to be able to get away better in the new position.  That's the goal coming up... to be able to take time off.

@retro junkie 1st question... so is Disney+ really worth it?   It seems like it would be initially... but would fizz out shortly after.

As far as the Mandalorian...  I keep seeing ads on this and does it look interesting.  The Disney+ Image of the Mandalorian draws you in... how can you not want to watch once you see the bounty hunter  ;D

Do you think they rushed it out and it will get better with age?   There are a lot of series like what you explained.  Amazon has a lot of them...  but people still seem to love to watch them.  I've been critical of others in the past as well.   I Couldn't get into them because they were cheesily done... where others seem to gloss of those bad effects, cinematography, etc.

#1276
I'm looking to get a few people together.  Who is up for later this am or early afternoon Call of Duty?   We could also play Diablo 3.... or something else.

@Jack @targetrasp @Grindspine @mastermario @SpartanEvolved

Post it up!

@AngelBob have you tried anything from the new update yet?

I'm not sure the PlayStation 4 version has had an update with Bees... and the other features listed here.   I need to double check the change log... we just started a new survival level.
#1280
@retro junkie I'm not sure there is a rebuttal to this one... honestly, I Think they would've released information on it by name.  MAYBE they'll release it with the PlayStation 5 though.  There's always that hope.

I really liked the remote play features... though sometimes the controls didn't map perfectly...

@targetrasp  I had the same issue with PSP and sometimes with 3DS.    I didn't have the same issues with the PlayStation Vita though.  They really played well.. I still play mine here and there.  There's a decent library of games on it!

LOL!  Nice!   That's a pretty cool tower.   What else have you created?

I Would show you one of our complex levels... but we lost it in the transfer.  We transformed this mount from top to bottom in creative with Cool waterfalls - IE as if they were fountains down the entire side of the mountain.    We had an emerald fortress on top... with a cool observation deck where you could snipe forever away with the bow.  I'll try to post up pics at some point of some of our other creations.

We made a really cool tree surrounded / covered fort at one point on the IOS version (pocket edition).  BUT... that version stopped working due to bad iPad... so... we lost those levels too.
#1282
I played quite awhile today.... quite awhile lol.

My KD is almost back to 1... after tons of rounds of poop.   However, I gained a lot of ground today.     I also started working on the challenges in barracks.  I completed 1... and am at least half way done with 2-3 others now.

I might be able to make the afternoon work as well... we will have to see

LOL!  Nice @AngelBob

@targetrasp ... I looked this up at one point.   And I cannot find it again right now.. which is annoying me.   Do it brain... come on brain goo.   It's there somewhere.   I did a quick search for it again, but couldn't find it.  It's actually just a basic guitar... but I agree, the cut out in the back looks great.

@CreepinDeth I don't know man..
I probably would've bought 2 if I was going to have or leave one unopened. It would be hard to not crack it open and play it lol.

I wish they had added Rambo 3. Then again. I haven't played it in a long time. It was a lot of fun back in the day.

So no one here has opened theirs and played it? @targetrasp

Nice @CreepinDeth;D. I haven't done into 4K. I figure this move would've done 4K justice!

We need to see this movie again.  I haven't watched it since it was in theaters.
