Good luck on the Steel Book.  You probably could pick one up at Gamestop on Launch... though I had to find for my Black Ops 4 Steel Book from Gamestop last year because I totally missed the pre-order.   They had 1 left... and I had to beg to get them to hold it for me.

They did have some extra ones returned... or not picked up for the next week (on the website)... but they don't last long.   It's $110-120 I believe for the Steel Book version.

I will miss the Blackout mode... but it will be cool getting back to a Modern Warfare style game.    Are you buying?  @targetrasp ... we still have other COD Multiplayers to catch up on... and achievements to do lol.

I pre-ordered the new Call of Duty (Modern Warfare) for the PlayStation 4... I was able to get in the beta.

It's pretty fun... I Will miss the Blackout mode.  I really dug it ... even though @targetrasp and I never managed to team up lol.  We need to still do the CAll of Duty Co-Op thing we talked about.

Anyway.. The game really feels like most other Call of Duty Games in the Modern Warfare lineup.  The levels look pretty good.   It ALSO looks like they are trying to do Cross Play.  There are Cross Play features in the main menus... where I think this game is going to work Cross Platform... a lot like Fort Nite.  This is the most exciting feature...  It's about time more games do this!

Is anyone else looking to get into this once it launches?  @targetrasp @Strubes @Jack @HylianSeven @Mai Valentine @Aya-Kun - Maybe you all?  I don't see anyone else with the BETA on my PS4 Friends list.

I was a little intrigued by the Nintendo Switch Lite... it looks like they are trying to replace the 3DS with it.    IS that true or the case?  I don't know.  It used to be Nintendo had "pillars" of products.  Now... I wonder if they see the future of Gaming as more portable handle like the Switch.  It's a great idea and it has MANY  use cases for portable multiplayer gaming.

The price point of $200 is nice... better than a Nintendo Switch, but You cannot remove the controllers.  Does this matter to you?

oh man.... Starfox... and several other games have been a BIG draw.   The SNES Addition easily makes the online fee worth it.

What are you all playing through right now?   Demons Crest... never played through it.  EDF however, I've played quite a bit.   CAN WE GET A LITTLE UN SQUADRON LOVE!??!

@AngelBob @retro junkie  We finally have this game updated.   It would be cool to get everyone to someone's town... or do town visits here and there.

yeah... Splatterhouse was on the TG16 as well.  I don't know if it was as good as the FM Towns Marty version or not.   Unfortunately, my FM Towns Marty experience was a bit limited.

@targetrasp yeah... me too.  I'm questioning whether it will really help (after watching the video posted by @CreepinDeth ).   Their logic on how this works is spot on and you're still playing with the underlying hardware.

@targetrasp mine arrives tomorrow.

I figured this would happen again and there would be another rift.  It was amazing some of these studios were coming and working together as long as they did.  Looks like that may be coming to an end.

The claims of both studios are interesting... I wonder what it is... time, money, or both?  Here's to hope they can work it out and re-unite.  I think everyone wins... and hopefully both companies can do it for the better of the story lines and movies.

This is something I Think I would EVENTUALLY like to do for my Nintendo 64.   Cool stuff... so tempting right now.   I need to wait a bit. 

yeah.... I'm trying to learn these a lot more.   They are essential... Especially when you are running server type environments.  It's cool AND very helpful when you can see what's actually going on.  You almost have to be doing a lot with the system to really need them though.  I'm sure standard users rarely have to look into the logs outside of updating issues...etc.

Have you looked into these on your system @retro junkie ?

@CreepinDeth In terms of serious competition with a serious graphics card... there really isn't a comparison.  IF you are looking for just an on chip cpu graphics  that can do some gaming, this might be good.   I'd really like to see some serious benchmarks... AND actual game play.

It would be cool if this was something that .... if on your business pc... you could still perform some gaming lol 

HM... I don't think they have one here.  That's sort-of what I was trying to do back in the day.  I think there's still a market for retro stuff... but idk how much going into the future.  Right now during decent times, the market for those items are good.  The moment there are economic issues, the products sit for awhile.

You know... Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had some very memorable sounds / music.   The other game... Super Smash Bros Ultimate has one of the better sound tracks I've heard.  While some of it has continued with the Smash series... it's very rememberable and they really did improve upon and introduce really cool new music.

I pre-ordered The new Call of Duty.

You know... I never really dug GAmestop.  I've used them at times in the past... however, most mom and pop stores have closed in town.  Game Crazy Is gone.   IF there is going to be a store, I'd at least like a Gamestop to still exist.  There's really nothing else anymore.  It is cool to see other types of gaming products in store too.   Their mugs though... NEED TO BE dishwasher and microwave safe lol... come on

I purposely shop locally for things to give local businesses money.  I also order online.

I know a lot of gamers like their digital copies, but I'm still a fan of having physical copies of games.  There are times I really do like digital copies... but it seems that digital is really starting to kill off stores now.

While In a way I think it's justice... in another way, I hate to see some of the last game stores close.

This is a pretty cool article. It's about time on chip / board graphics are getting a boost. As the article states... the performance has been nearly flat for years.. And now, they've come out with about double the performance. Is about time.

Now.. I'd like to see what you could do gaming wise with this.  It makes sense though.

It appears there's  a game in China that will be released called  Genshin Impact ... it has very striking similarities to Zelda Breath of the Wild.  Boy... did Zelda fans have a negative reaction.

I found a pretty good article on Linux Logs.   I've been working to learn this better and in more depth.  I accomplished my 1st 2 Linux certs... but they do not teach you everything.  They are good for forcing learning, but you really need to re-enforce that learning with more practice and experience.  Keep digging and keep hitting your head against the proverbial wall.

This is the article I dug.  I know there are MANY different Linux and Unix flavors and variants... but we have to start some where... and This is where we are starting:

Now... you may know the most logs are located under /var/log/... great...  but keep in mind, some businesses / admins change those up.    More on this later.
