Happy Birthday!
#1322
I sincerely have a problem.

My Steam wishlist is 95% things I'll never purchase. Most I know nothing about. If a friend buy something I'll at minimum stick it on my wishlist. If a friend wishlists something, I follow suit. I currently have 127 games on my wish list and if someone offered me a million to name 10 on that list I wouldn't be able to. I can't make myself delete them though, and I really can't come up with a good reason not to, outside of maybe, just maybe Steam will discount them 90%, because quite frankly, that's what it'd take to merit a purchase on most of what's there.

right click and select read aloud.. go ahead I'll wait........

isn't that the single most useless cool feature one could imagine?

we've got a mini reunion going on for sure

I guess you've got to ask yourself...

do you consider the song "My Humps" by the black eyed peas retro?

xbox 360 was relased in 2005, same year as Monkey Business by the Black Eyed Peas. My Humps charted mid 40's in the Billboard top 100 for 2006, wii and ps3 was released in november of 2006.

The difference is the longevity of a system vs. the longevity of a console. Those consoles enjoyed 6 - 7 years as current gen while popular songs fade much sooner...

So might we consider (and hopefully this is a ton of work for BV)  current gen, previous gen, and retro destinctions?

Galaxy S8 for phone

Outside of a card game, mahjong, or a match three type of thing cellphone gaming isn't for me. Even on PC I prefer using a controller (there are some exceptions) so the cell doesn't get much gaming unless one of the kids' devices died in the car.

sounds good

I can do diablo 3, I've still yet to get pubg...

That's awesome - bad thing is there's not a 10x series that's in stock - not even a 1030...

you have to go all the way back to a 950 to purchase something in stock. 10x series also has a 1 per household limit which I really appreciate to keep the scalpers somewhat at bay but it stinks if you want to run multiples!

That's awesome, I've really wanted to get into elite dangerous despite the reviews and complaints. I may have to borrow your idea

Something needs to give, there's only computer in the house that's worth gaming on and it has been taken over every since I purchased a VR headset.
#1333
2 PS4's 2 PSN accounts here. it gets far more play than any of the other consoles. Since purchasing a VR headset, Steam still gets the most play in the house.

Magic Duels in the PC, and just about everything on the SNES Classic.

Wish-listed!

In desperate need of an 80%$+ off sale

I actually found one of these around 12:30 pm in a crowded Best Buy while I was looking for a car charger for the Switch. I think half that store heard my WOO HOO!

There's a million more games I'd like to see on it but it really does have a strong sample of the best of the best released for the SNES.

My 7 year old son and I played Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World for a while today. Since his introduction to video gaming was wii / 360 / ps3 era, I was worried he'd have no appreciation for games that are a quarter of a century older than him. He wants to play more tomorrow!

I also found information saying the NES Classic will be put back into production soon. I really hope this comes to fruition as I refuse to pay scalper prices and I've yet to get one.

What kind of multiplayer games are people looking to get into? What are some good nights or times to play? Are you looking for a casual experience or something insanely competitive?

I'm good Late Friday / Saturday early Sunday, and limited week day evenings.

I like competetion but when it gets next level Dota it's too much like work. These days video games are an escape for me. Work is high stress enough, getting Cosby'd pushing a lane and catching shade for it just  doesn't excite me anymore!

I have a ton of games I'd play, and if something became recurring I'd gladly purchase it.

I'm got an itch to try something I've never tried, something along the lines of Elite Dangerous. It seems interesting and has a ton of casual potential although from what I understand there is a steep learning curve.

Diablo 3 seems to have been mentioned quite a bit, it may be time for some of us to set something up with it.

totally kidding. I live in a craft brew city. People are such beer snobs here that I find joy in arguing the finer points of PBR.

I couldn't find anything.

I sold my copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga for $120ish and it was just the discs way back when the gamecube was the newest system out.

I never was really interested in the Saturn. None of the games seemed to age really well. -- matter of fact I can say that about everything Sega.

I used to cuss MSI and Matsonic so bad. I'd have conflict after conflict.

My most favorite board was an Abit NF7s I had a pair last well over a decade with daily use. I'm lucky if HDDs last half that long.

Asus or Gigabyte have always been solid boards for my needs in more recent times, since the departure of Abit. I really couldn't say one was better than the other, i really decide based upon features, aesthetics, and sale price.

Honestly though, for household workstations i've had great luck with HP proliants. Every bedroom in the house has one that's been repurposed from a hotel or car dealership. The case doesn't have such a large footprint and an I5 is plenty for all but the most demanding games. They make great internet surfing / microsoft office using computers.

I have the book on CD from when I used to commute an hour and a half to work. It's such an expansive universe that you learn more about it every time you revisit the story. Wiki's do a great job of filling in the gaps

20 yearly is nothing. that's half an hour in an arcade, trampoline park, or county fair. It's lunch for two at a fast food restaurant.

It's a whole lot easier to get the entire family online for 20 a console than it is at 60.

Access to nintendo's virtual library could be worth the cost of admission without anything else.

3rd party support is pretty lame for nintendo so this will most likely be IN ADDITION to xbox live or psn. I couldn't imagine playing Monster Hunter, Call of Duty, Destiny, Halo, etc. on the Switch and likeing it. I think their choice of media may be slightly behind blu ray disks as a dual layer bluray holds 50 GB (UHD bluray can be double that) of data where the biggest nintendo game card holds 32 gb. Without a huge 3rd party library their online  service won't hold up to a hard core gamer's needs on it's own.

It'll make a nice addition for under $2.00 a month though!

I always buy them all but I focus on either sony or Microsoft. My main systems were ps2, 360, and ps4. Just focusing on 1 of the big 2 makes it to where I can still play console exclusive games all the while only having to maintain 1 online service.

I don't feel like I've missed anything by sticking with ps4 this console cycle, especially since sony's online service seems to have finally caught up to Microsoft's. Console specific games don't seem to be as commonplace as in generations past so its hard to make an argument for having to own both consoles. The controllers even feel very similar.

It doesn't look like its going to get any better any time soon. There's 20 - 30ish Switch games in various stages of development rumored to be released sometime soon and it's mostly indie crap.

Konami, Capcom, Sunsoft, Hal, Data East, Rare, Tecmo, Ultra, Taito, Enix, Hudson - All put out Quality games for Nintendo while they churned out 1st party gold in what seems like a more timely fashion.

Now we've got indie devs churning out rehashes of what the afore mentioned crowd made 30 years ago while actual devs seem to be for the most part ignoring the switch.

To be fair the words "indie crap" were harsh. I feel like that stuff has a place... A steam holiday sale where I buy it for around $5.00 so I can justify paying money for something I probably won't get 4 good hours out of. $20.00 + for a console release is robbery.

I Found if I jump into multiplayer I never play the game.
I mean, i've only ever seen the end of one Halo game. If it wasn't for Xbox 360's achievements I probably wouldn't have even thought about playing the campaign. Call of Duty -- same thing.

I didn't have all the parts to connect a monitor, tv, and VR headset to the home theater pc so it lost its monitor. I've put the steam controller in the living room so I don't have pull the keyboard over to the couch. It works well for navigating big picture mode on steam and playing a few controller friendly games. PS4 controllers still do the heavy lifting though.

I finally got around to cleaning out my luggage from a trip I took in December and found my 3ds with Ever Oasis in it. I started it back up and am still impressed with it. It reminds me of what I loved about games like Dark Cloud and Actraiser. Most of the puzzles are a little easier but every so often there's some stuff worthy of an FAQ, it at least keeps the game interesting and aggravating.

I purchase from Amazon at least once a week, Best Buy at least once a month, Newegg when i need parts (when they're not double msrp) ebay on occassion, and gamestop at least once monthly.

If you can monotize any of that I'll click a link.

Also, if there's something that pays a per click I'll help out.
