Good review on this @retro junkie

Curious, I haven't looked into some of this for a long time.   So... All SNES games were at that lower Resolution?  What were the higher resolution Sega Genesis games at?

All -- I've been waiting quite awhile for the newest version to be released.... it's now in Release candidate.  I'm working on a test installation to see what will change.  The theme probably will change, but I'm HOPING that I can re-use this theme without a ton of development and working on a darker theme.   There are many improvements and I will let you know once we are updated.  Some of the site updates were waiting on this update... others are still in the mix and trying / deciding how to move forward while I'm back studying for other stuff at work right now.

If you have time, please continue to help create and respond to posts to keep things moving forward.  I appreciate all those helping to move things forward.

This game looks pretty interesting @Jack I probably won't be able to invest into it at this point.  I've had to cut back on game buying for a bit... unfortunately.  Anthem definitely looks interesting.  Are you still digging it a lot.

WE still need to join up on COD Black Out - I still need to get you added to  PS4 - you need to send me your information.  Also, It would be cool if I could get your help with the steam group if you have additional time.  That.. and more Diablo 3 soon.  Still getting past these certifications   :(

@targetrasp TAKE IT BACK!  TAAKE BACK what you said about Titanfall.   ;D  Cuts deep bro.

I about bought Monster Hunter...  That was a game on my List for a long time.  I Will look again at Transformers... Maybe I'm thinking of something else, but I thought it was the Wii U version.  Rodea sounds pretty cool...

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - man ... @Grindspine and I played a lot of that on the PlayStation 3.  IT's a great game.  One of my favorite fighters to date.

We really need a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 topic at some point.  Not sure if many play it anymore ... but it is awesome.

Resurrecting an old post.  I agree @Grindspine and @targetrasp

now... in the case of opening it up... I guess it depends.  Cables are so thin these days... it's super easy to break them.  While the fix is cheap... they can also be engineered to be easily replaceable (I'm looking at you Dell I regard to my G5 15" laptop - replacing the keyboard should've been WAY easier).

I can imagine the repair work coming in if they didn't have safe guards in place.  And you're right, Target... they would just think of other mechanisms.  BUT to that point, equipment shouldn't stop working easily.   I get there's a sweet spot where there's a cost benefit to both sides... to be fair to both sides of the transaction.

Someone told me back in the PS2 days... that the system was engineered to somewhat fall apart of you opened it.   I didn't try it... didn't feel like trying it.  Not sure if it was true - original model, not slim.   He said he tried to open it like most of his other electronics to see wat made it tick... and the cables instantly fell out and something happened where he couldn't repair it.   It's been a long time... lol...

A couple things here.... I didn't realize they made Tekken for the Wii U.. that's a thing??

That Transformers game... I was looking at it the other day and was thinking "hm... maybe I should but the price is so high."     If I'm correct, that game has some decent value and a good review.  That's a title I've been jones-ing to try out... don't know why.

BTW... I Think Rage against the machine made a song about Rodea  ;D  lolz...  The game looks interesting though... and also wondered how well Legend of Kay plays.

Good stuff!

You know... this dropped to $25 and is looking a bit more tempting.... on Amazon right now, you can get the Starter Edition for $25.39.

Debating...

yeah... probably.  This one has resonated very well.

I still hear "but the seagulls... Hmmmggg.... Stop it now." lol...

Yeah... It doesn't seem like it's been a year at all.   Here's to many more good years :)

Now we just need to grow the place a bit... and move forward.  Thank you all for being a part of this site.  ;D

@retro junkie - Happy Birthday!  I hope it's a good one  ;D  Don't forget to enjoy your digital cake!

PS... if you get games for your bday... you have to post what you get lol

This game has become somewhat of an obsession in between studying subjects.

It's just as addictive as Tetris DS was when playing online. Except now it's not just 1 on 1.

There are times though when you get targeted by 5+ opponents (sometimes only for a brief moment).... And that just wrecks you.  It's like...  all these blocks... take it.
#1394
If you all have the Wii U version... I have a level you should try  ;D. Do you have it?

Woot... @Grindspine just got the 100 Mega Shock Title lol.... well played reference AND your  100th post.

I wish this was on Prime right now...    They rarely have Marvel anything... which is odd.  They have a lot of binge-watchable shows like Psych and 24 always available.  That's good... as we binge watched both while studying.
#1397
@targetrasp YES... you should do that.  I just got 2nd place... Woot!  Almost won.... almost.      I tell you though... there are matches were you get targeted by 5 or more opponents.  What I mean is... when they get rid of their blocks, you get their blocks.  So if they get a Tetris... you get 4 rows.     If you are hammered by 5 people at once, it's a punch in the face.  Though I fended them off once.  Then they targeted others.

You can set how you target people.  You can specifically set someone... set it as random, By tags, by Knock Outs, or by the person targeting you.

It's a lot of fun.

@Kinikko have you been playing?

I really want to see this title again.  Ant-Man and the Wasp was awesome.. she was also the She Elf in the Hobbit series.

DAt Ending though... as @Grindspine and others mentioned.  That would suck to have happen... worst timing ever lol.

lol... almost a year later.    YEah!  This was a pretty good movie.   That's cool you bought the steel book.    I wanted the Steel Book for Infinity War, but they were asking for WAAYYYY too much money for it.

So... I had to play a little Tetris 99 today.   MAde it to 3rd place once.  By the time you get to 10-20 left... the pieces are moving VERY fast.  It's a lot like the Tetris DS I played back on the DS.  I loved this game.   Well ... let the addition begin again.

Official Tetris 99 topic here:

So ... I highly suggest getting this game. If you like Tetris at all... the Tetris 99 mode is highly addictive, fun, ... and addictive.  Did I mention addictive???
#1402
I just received an email from Nintendo...  looks like you can download the free Tetris 99 game. Of course, this is free if you subscribe to Nintendo Online.    I play to get this...  I loved Tetris DS when you could play multiplayer against other opponents across the globe. They were fast and fun matches. With that... who else is going to play?  We should get matches going.

The free to download online software, Tetris® 99, is available as a special offer for Nintendo Switch Online members (membership sold separately).

In large-scale, 99-player battles, it'll take speed, skill, and strategy to knock out the competition and become the last player standing. You can target opponents by sending them Garbage Blocks, but be careful...your rivals can target you back! Defeat opponents to acquire KO badges that may give you the advantage on future attacks. Survive the onslaught and look forward to upcoming online events!

I'm pretty pumped for this game.  We had a lot of fun with the 1st one... speaking of that, we still need to complete an Expert run of Super Mario Maker.  We kept getting hammered with the troll levels lol.   BUT... never-the-less... it would be cool if we could get level sharing going here for the new one.

I'm looking at you @Kinikko @targetrasp @CreepinDeth @Jack  @Mai Valentine  and maybe @mastermario   ;D
#1404
@retro junkie and @targetrasp So just re-do the Turbo Express and make a handheld?  This might be a good idea.   It would have to emulate the Turbo Duo as well... there are games they must include from the Duo.

@CreepinDeth I agree on the N64... This would be cool to see.  I know @Jack mentioned it before as well.

@Grindspine Castlevania 2 was hard... dat jump....  but I agree.  Such a great game.

Personally... I Think it would be cool to have a Jaguar mini... that would include Jaguar CD games as well.  Iron Soldier series... is a must with this.
#1405
Yeah.. that makes sense.    It's just a ridiculous game... and it is oddly satisfying.    It can also be insanely frustrating too trying to complete some of the challenges.

IS anyone else looking forward to the game?
#1406
the online service is pretty fun.. have you tried any multiplayer games yet?

I want to try ice hockey... or another one  ;D
#1407
LOL... well... hopefully not the 1st.  ;D

What other stories are there?
#1408
lol... thanks for posting this @CreepinDeth and @targetrasp for the shameless plug  ;D

I appreciate It all purchases done via our amazon ads... It does help with hosting costs.

This price... it's tempting.  $40 is a price where I Can start to see this happening with the flaws.

Speaking of Burnout Paradise... We haven't seen a lot of @Aya-Kun lately.   However, Admit it... Burnout Paradise was a great buy.

If you want, we can work on the online achievements at some point - yeah yeah...blah blah after test - in the near future.

What is it... me lord?     I have to be honest @Grindspine , I was NEVER a fan of Warcraft III.  I loved Warcraft 2... and could say I dug Warcraft... but Warcraft 2 by far was my favorite.  Once they introduced aspects that took them away from the FPS style I loved, I wasn't a big fan.

Though... I might be interested in trying it again depending on price... yeah... I'd be that sucker.

We require more StarCraft 2 though.
