@Jack thank you for the suggestion.  I hope to take AND BE DONE WITH my next certification test - AWS Solutions Architect Associate.  So much Material.  Once done.. I will check this out.  I'm in dire need of gaming and there will be a few days taken off.

I dig a lot of Respawn games... they do a pretty good job.  Why do you feel it's the best?

OH man... I COMPLETELY forgot about Odama.   That was a fun game.

Shockingly ... you can still get it new and complete for about $27:
https://www.amazon.com/Odama-Microphone-Gamecube/dp/B000CC5J52/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=odama+gamecube&qid=1549935635&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spell

I cannot believe this game isn't more... as it was the rage for the longest time.   How do you like it, @retro junkie ?  Get the mic yet?  Also... how is the series of unfortunate events?

@CreepinDeth So the SSD fixed all the issues?  That's interesting as generally drives as the Western Digital Black perform well.

I FINALLY picked up my Axiom Verge Multiverse Collectors Edition for the PlayStation Vita.   Click to see story... sigh... Gamestop. BUT I GOT IT!

PS - we need more specific posts on these games.

I've had 0 progress in anything but quick games ... such as Adventure Capitalist on the iPAd LOL... I am hoping to take my test this Thursday and game for a few days as break.

What has everyone else been up to?

As the topic states... what's the most ridiculous circumstance / Reason you bought a game?

Post it up!

I'll kick this one off...   SO... I didn't have any games that started with Y on Steam and I Wanted to have at least 1 game per letter of the alphabet.  SO... I proceeded to buy Y's on Steam lol.  True story...

I'm sure this has been seen many times over, but .... it's pretty funny.

Anyone else checked this out?  But the Seagulls....

I finally got it!  LOL... WOot!

@targetrasp now... I need some time to play this.  3 months (ish)... and this has been resolved.  I got it for $18+ tax as well... which was cheaper than the 1st I bought.  I Think they have more online for $18 as well.

Retro Gaming and Hardware / Re: Borrowed meme for PS2

LOL... unless you have a PS3 with PS1 and PS2 onboard hardware  / play capabilities.   However, This is pretty much spot on for all systems these days.

That's a bummer... Michael Bay makes decent movies.  13 Hours was a great movie...  insane to see what went on... but a well done movie.  Bumblebee was not directed by Michael Bay - this is the 1st one I guess.

No one else checked out this movie?

We had some hotwings tonight... with tater tots! lol.  Man... tater tots and ranch dressing...  :o so tasty.
#1423
Man... been on a Holier Than Thou Kick... I don't know why.  It's hitting the spot right now.

What Has everyone been listening to?
#1424
hm... interesting... did they say how it has changed?   I would hate for it to change too much... though change is inevitable I suppose.  I Really have fond memories of that area.
#1425
@targetrasp I didn't get this game.  You're the 1st person I know to have picked up the game  I Cannot remember if @Jack picked it up as well or not.

This game really interests me on the Switch and I was super excited about it... though I became a lot less excited when I found out about no cross play capabilities.  I Think that's a mistake... though.. mobile Diablo 3 is legit... absolutely a great idea.

What are your thoughts now?

speaking of Diablo 3... we need to play lol.
#1426
@CreepinDeth did you end up picking this up?

@Mai Valentine @Kinikko @Jack  - are you still having online issues?   I noticed it was lagging again when my son was playing it the other night.  The lag hit almost every match.  I have to be honest, it's a bit frustrating to pay for Nintendo Online ... and it's laggy.   We don't see a lot of lag in Splatoon 2... so maybe this is impacting Super Smash Bros. Ultimate... idk... hopefully they fix it though if it can be fixed.
#1427
lol... there's something about Goat Simulator that's a lot of fun.  I don't know what it is... or if the game was really supposed to be anything... but it's stupid and enjoyable to play at times - maybe a couple times per year.  I probably haven't played this game in about a year.

$30 seems ok - There's a lot to accomplish in the game... and Goat Simulator on the go is a pretty cool idea.
#1428
lol thanks @retro junkie it was almost 50 today though!  Et Tu Brutus?  ;D

@targetrasp yeah... I haven't been to Raleigh in a very long time.  RTP is the Research Triangle Park - this is where they have a lot of IT training.  At least they used to.   SUper interesting area.  There's not a ton to do... but it's crazy in how all these businesses are tucked into wooded areas.  Driving on the highway is RIDICULOUSLY dark because it seems all the light pollution is absorbed by the trees.  You know there's a lot of stuff there, but you cannot see it.  At least that's the way it was back in 2013-2014.  I haven't been there since, unfortunately.  Almost ALL my training is online/remote anymore... and class based it becoming much more rare.

#1429
LOL... you all are killing me.  @Jack @targetrasp We almost had that as a negative with windchill not that long ago.

North Carolina... That's one place I wouldn't mind living.  RTP North Carolina was pretty cool when I went there for training as well.

These challenges weren't too hard. My son and I finished them today - took a small break from studying.  I really needed a break.  We played a few duos as well.

It would be cool to get a few members playing together on this.

As mentioned in other topics... I have fun with the Angry Birds games.  I have downloaded this now and will give it a try.  It's really been awhile... we were playing Angry Birds Star Wars over Christmas break but haven't played it much lately.

Nice post, @Bomber Man

What is the pillage and village update?
#1433
those 2 songs are awesome.  I still really dig holier than thou and through the never.  Sad but true was pretty good... but most was over played.   Those 5 songs there are awesome.   Edit... and Wherever I may Roam... I like that one too.

Have you listened to the newer Judas Priest @CreepinDeth ?
#1434
Yeah... I had 1 sink and toilet freeze... but we ended up using a space heater... it was on the outside wall.  It didn't do that until wind and -40ish windchill.  Space Heater... closed the door... and it let loose.
#1435
@Grindspine Could you imagine this!?  lol... robot sounds everywhere while having light saber fights LOL... that would be hilarious.
#1436
I have to be honest... I tried it and tried it.  I tried to like these games.   They just aren't my favorite and I Could count the hour on 1 finger I've been able to stay into any one of the games.

I was very excited for Bioshock Infinite.  It came free with hardware I bought.  However, it too fell short in my opinion.

It would be cool if someone could explain it  ;D
#1437
it was -10 to -13.... one of my pipes froze... so I was fighting that all day while working remotely.  I finally got it thawed... but it was rather annoying.  1st world problems, I guess?   There's a piece that will need to be repaired... thankfully it's a smaller portion leading to the sink.  Outside walls... and wind... -30 to -40 wind chill... that'll do it.
#1438
dropping pretty hard here... -20 windchill I Think.  Under 0 normal.  -11 high for tomorrow...
#1439
This wasn't a super favorite... but The music around the Solo... and then the bass followed by main riff coming out of the solo... pretty awesome...

Holier than thou.
#1440
I've always liked Through the Never as well:

This is definitely a fun song to play.  All those Hetfield down strums.  Forearms of steel... lol.  This looks like it was a pretty good concert.  I haven't been a big metallica fan since load because they just dove into stuff that I wasn't as interested in... but they still rock out the old stuff well.
