meh... I might have to do that.  It sucks finding something like this and then not having it work out.  BUT... I probably will just cut my losses.  I Am calling the store tomorrow to follow up again though.

nope, I added them to the inventory and shelved them all.

still waiting on a backlogger, man if only there was a backlogger to help me keep up with all this ummm backlog...
LOL  right in the giblets - I am still working on the concept.   I'm going to need a bit of help... but as things are going, I'm not going to be able to hire yet.  I'm going to see if I Can get a few people to help with parts.  But... that doesn't always work with resilient web applications.  It can, but they need to be hardened... even more so these days.

lol.. stop laughing.   ;D ANND the story isn't over yet.  They're supposed to fix it... and it's not fixed yet.... grrrr  >:(

I liked Battlefield 4 a lot... and Battlefield 1 was a lot of fun, but the PC version died out fast.  Battlefield V... it's pretty cool.  I need more time with it though.

Titanfall 2 showed up the other day along with Farcry 5  and bomberman
OOo... Nintendo Switch Bomberman R?

Did you play Titanfall 2 yet?   And take back that Far Cry 5 comment... you know that's a dig lol.

@Mai Valentine - Would your roommate be interested in joining our forums?  We'd love to have them join  ;D  I bought Fall Out 76 for the PlayStation 4 on a Cyber Monday deal.  FFXIV sounds like it would be fun... I wish I had the time to do a game like that.  Between my game ADD and games like COD BLOPS4, Titanfall 2, and Diablo 3... there's just not a lot to go around.

Speaking of Fall Out 76 - check out the Fall Out 76 Crazy Limited Edition Guide

@CreepinDeth What is a professional run?  I really haven't played Resident Evil 4 more than tries.  I know... bad BV.

@retro junkie lol... I don't remember that game either. would you recommend it?

I played a bunch of Titanfall 2 on PlayStation 4.  There was actually 4000 people online over the weekend.  I love getting into games fast.  I went from level 20 or 21 to over 30.

LOL Thank you good sir!   And ... CDG is it buddy!  :))  Chicken Dinner Gaming!  Spread the word.

let me know when you get it.  I also bought it for @SpartanEvolved ... (even though @mastermario gives me crap for spartan giving me Overwatch)... we should play!

So did anyone end up picking one of these up?  If so... how is it?

That's a bummer @targetrasp lol.... That description REALLY makes me not want to play Star Fox 2.  That also kills a bit of my memory of Star Fox... However, Star Fox is still a fun game.

Did you break it out and try any more?
#1780
So... why are many of these mini consoles botched so bad?  So much disappointment, there is.

Did you get much play time with it at all?

It seems like a lot of those end of life cycle games turn out to be collectable. Had I seen this sooner I would have got one.
yeah... this ended VERY quick...  Probably 20 min.   I was about ready to login ad buy one... then it became 'pickup via store"... and none were close.   Now... I don't think any are available.
#1782
@Polygon LOL... 3.11 ??  really?  That's pretty cool.  Hopefully not connected to Internet lol.  I haven't messed around with that OS in so long... probably since Windows 95.    So... what do you still do with a Windows 3.11 pc?
#1783
That I have not seen... BUT... I checked it out.  It appears you are 100% correct:

Grab a Poké Ball™ and begin your journey - pokeballplus.nintendo.com

Per the Website:

  • Take your Pokémon wherever you go - Take your Pokémon for a stroll in your Poké Ball Plus out in the real world.  When you're out and about, you can gently shake your Poké Ball Plus and the Pokémon inside will make a sound* and the Poké Ball Plus will vibrate.
  • Search for Pokémon without looking at your smartphone -  Play Pokémon GO without checking your smartphone screen. When a Pokémon appears nearby, Poké Ball Plus will light up and vibrate. A simple button press lets you throw a virtual Poké Ball, and different LED light patterns will let you know if you've caught the Pokémon.  As long as your Poké Ball Plus is connected to your smartphone and the Pokémon GO app, it will also count your steps so you can hatch Eggs and get Candy for your Buddy Pokémon.

There is a device compatibility list at the Official Pokémon Go Website.

I must admit, This is some what of a cool feature.

@Jack and @targetrasp it's $8.40 from Amazon right now... you can easily get $8.40 out of the game.  Just a heads up in case you want to purchase and play with your good pal BLUEVOODU  ;D
#1785
I think I'm picking this up from Best Buy today.  It's $40 with the steel book for the standard edition.   I am buying the Playstation 4 version this time due to issues with Battlefield 1 PC and the dying crowd.  @SpartanEvolved and I could never find a match after a certain point.... but @Aya-Kun could still find Battlefield 1 Playstation 4 matches.  Even today there is a better community.

Is anyone else picking it up?  @targetrasp @CreepinDeth ?

It would be cool to get a few playing if possible.
#1786
lol... and that was very nice of @SpartanEvolved   ... and I'm now at level 5.  So there's more progress.

What progress have you made @mastermario ?   Also, you should get Diablo 3 and play with us.

Other Progress I made:
1.)  Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Black out... made it to level 13 or 14 and a tier that's like double that now.  Having a hard time keeping my KD up right now.  Frustrating lol.  I'll hit many rounds of 1-3 kills ... then go 9 rounds of getting smacked around.
2.)  We made it further in Lego The Movie Video Game

#1787
Has anyone else purchased this game?   you know.. I've seen many ads for it... it really does look cool.   It's that bad @Grindspine ?  SOme of the screenshots at the Steam store look a lot like something out of Castlevania 1 ... or 3.

The reviews are overwhelmingly positive... which is encouraging.
#1788
@targetrasp What are those grips?  Pics?

Also... Super Mario Party looks to be receiving great reviews.  I'm highly interested in picking this up now...  and hoping for a good deal over the holidays.

I'm still debating if Mario Party 5 for the Gamecube is the best lol.
#1789
@Grindspine needs a pair of these LOL.
#1790
You know... I saw this one and passed it up.  I had a feeling this is exactly what it was.  Though I really used to like these games:
Guerrilla War, Ikari Warriors, Ikari Warriors II: Victory Road, Ikari III: The Rescue
* these games almost sold me on the package.

Holy Crap.. Beast Busters... I swear I played that in the Arcade FOREVER ago.  Could be a faded or incorrect memory... but I swear I played it lol and it only captured a few quarters from me.

With that said... are the games I listed above worth it?  And don't forget to update us on Crystalis  lol... Never heard of it... probably should've heard of it being SNK.

We've discussed Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch@targetrasp @Kinikko and others really dig the game.  But How does Breath of the Wild compare on the Wii U?  What are the differences?

I noticed it is currently for sale at Best Buy.. and I was thinking of picking up a copy cheap.  If anyone remembers... the Twilight Princess was released on the Gamecube and Wii.. The Gamecube version became somewhat of a collectors item.

Linky: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Wii U - bestbuy.com.  Now... it's currently $34 and it's a bit tempting.   I know the Wii U version didn't have near as many sold... even though 1.5 Million copies were sold as of August 2018 (I believe the number is).

SO what are your thoughts?  Should this be in a collection for increasing value?  Post it up!
#1792
LOL... I had to laugh at these.  So... I noticed at Gamestop, they are on Sale.  I was actually tempted ... not sure why...  But I didn't buy.

Linky is here: Giant Robot Slippers with Sound - By ThinkGeek  - Gamestop.com

Here's a brief Youtube.com video on what they do - the last 15 seconds of foot tapping is my favorite.  The sound somewhat reminds me of the Cyberdemon in Doom 2 ( @Jack lol):

Anyone try these? LOL...  They look like they would be a great gift for certain gamers.  post it up! ;D
#1793
Hell Scyth ( @Helskyth ) - I've been looking to pick this game up.  Re-reading your review made me want to get it.  I missed FarCry 5 on sale... I'm hoping to find it on another sale just before Christmas.   I have all of the Far Cry games.  I think Far Cry 2 was my most played, followed by Far Cry 3.   3 seemed to get more repetitive than 2 though...

I own 4 but barely broke it out... and will own 5 at some point.

Anyone else play these games?  What are your favorites?
#1794
Now that Super Smash Bros Ultimate is coming out... I will probably buy into this next week.  Anyone else?   It would be cool to get some of our members playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Also, any word of the games included @targetrasp ?  Or ... if they're enhancing the old games?  IE online play.
#1795
Yeah... Even more excited LOL.  These directs are cool and well made.  I'm not sure how many other videos have done such a good job at hyping games.  Good job keeping these out here and linked!

Also, good job on the Smash Bros Ultimate Never Seen Before Secret.  Yeah... AND keep up the good work on the FortNite updates.
#1796
I have this game pre-ordered... getting excited for next week!   I'm still disappointed I didn't get the Super Smash Bros Ultimate bundle with Controller though.

Anyone else pumped?

I've been listening to Metallica's ...And Justice For All album since it was recently re-released.

Mainly just been sticking to the classic's lately like Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest & Ozzy. I haven't been able to get into a lot of the metal bands that have come out in the last decade but I'll have to check them out a bit more. Need to broaden my horizons.
man... I love Shortest Straw... that's still one of my favorite songs. I have not heard the re-release.... I take it was remastered as well?

There are a lot of newer bands to try.  Trivium is a great one to get into if you like Metallica - they are definitely heavier though and rotate between clean singing and growling.  Shogun, In waves, Vengence Falls, and Ascendancy are perfect places to start.  I like their tempo.

Unearth is a band @Grindspine introduced me to a few years ago.  III: In the eyes of Fire, Darkness in the Light, The March, and the Oncoming storm are great places to start.  Watchers of rule is ok.  It's growly... but I like it... and it's another where I like the tempo.

Word on the street is that a few of these games are the PAL region versions which means that they will be running at 50hz even for the North America release. Not sure what Sony is doing and who is running this project. Pretty sloppy if you ask me.
Oh man... what in the world are they thinking?!    I'm not sure why they would do that either... it probably isn't a license thing either as it should be easier to use the US release games.  Therefore, it cannot be a cost thing either.

I bought this a while ago off of Amazon. Haven't had a chance to get to it though. Might try to finish Spider-Man first.

I missed it for $10.  The lady said they should have it on sale again close to Christmas... and to download their app LOL  ;D  So I'll potentially do that.. and watch out for the sale again.  I've missed like 4 things now.  But I guess I didn't really need them...

Well... it was free... I think you can still get it for free.  Not 100% sure.  Give it a shot if you can, it's a pretty fun side scroller beat-em-up.   It's funny too.  You're in a play... so once you beat up some of the people... they play dead.  Then will crawl off stage.    It was a little funny.
