I've seen many people playing Red Dead Redemption2 on PlayStation 4... There's also been a lot of hype surrounding this game.  Some are saying it's a must have game.  I played the 1st, but didn't get very far and it didn't keep my attention for very long.  It was acquired on sale - the full version with the zombie mode - Undead Nightmare  It was a good game from what I remember, but just didn't keep my attention.  Red Dead Redemption 2 looks good... but I'm a little worried the same thing will happen.

Who bought into the game and what are your thoughts?  Has it been worth the hype?

As part of the What Current OS Are you Running thread, we started mentioning Linux.

As part of my current studies, I'm going through Linux Admin Training.  I've worked in many different environments - IBM i OS, Windows (tons of different environments), IBM AIX, and now I'm trekking into Amazon Web Services / Linux. 

At this point, I installed and started playing around with UBUNTU and OpenSUSE.  Hyper-V is available in Windows 10 Pro... that is now setup on my laptop and I've created virtual machines.  Through some of my other training... I will be working with CENTOS and Fedora.

What do you work with and Game with LINUX wise?  What troubles have you encountered and what did you do to solve them? 
Any input @trkorecky @retro junkie @Polygon @medataoh ?

On another note, I am kick starting a tech site soon.  This is going to be to document many of the new Amazon Web Services Cloud studies / what I learned...etc.  This site will also be to document a large range of topics from easy to level III work across many systems.  The plan is to make it so that I can search my site if I need to recall that information, but it's also there to allow others to search and view.  I'm creating the site in Drupal - I spent the last 4 months learning Drupal and may add some of that knowledge as well lol.  I'll create more on this topic later.  IF anyone would like to help write some of these documents, I will be game.  There will be a standards and requirements for writing the documentation.  But I welcome anyone who wants to do this to put their notes out there and also use the repository of knowledge.  There won't be much or any of a forum... until Drupal has a better system or I can do an SMF style bridge or anything but Drupal's forum.

Ikaruga... as much as I love a good SHMUP ( Especially IKARUGA)... this game is hard.  The bosses are killer... the bullets are plenty... and this game can be a punch in the face.

I hate to admit it, I've never completed the game.

I put a lot of time into Titanfall 2 Multiplayer on the Playstation 4.  I scored top in a couple of the rounds... mostly in the middle... and the bottom on a couple rounds.  Those bottom rounds were pretty rough lol.

Red Dead 2 looks good - We need a Red Dead 2 Topic (now created at the link to the left).  I just didn't play the 1st one enough to justify buying 2.  I see @Strubes playing it on PS4... plus a couple other friends.   It definitely looks tempting... just not sure at this time.

There has to be more must have games before the end of 2018.  I'm ok if there isn't lol... me wallety.

LOL... that is a bit rough, I hear you.  I've ran into a couple other games where that's happened and understand the feels.  I'm still rocking Titanfall 2 right now.  The game was played for about 4 hours on Saturday night... straight.  Best $9 I spent in awhile.

I haven't noticed the AMIIBOs at all lately either... in fact, I Didn't even think about it until you all mentioned it.  That's strange.  They were everywhere 4 months ago.  I was at Gamestop to pick up Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Pro for the Playstation 4... and  I didn't see any there.

Now I'm curious... I wonder if our local Best Buy has any left.

I just wanted to see if I could get away with using masochistic...

I love Black Ops 4 Free For All and Team Death Match modes as well... they are a lot of fun.   Some of the old maps are included... it's a blast from the past.  It brings a lot of good memories.  I suppose they had to include them for not providing a single player campaign.

Targetrasp - We need to get back to Diablo 3 - definitely some this weekend.  Anyone interested in playing?  I need to figure out a time.  Our current season characters are at level 9-10. 

Well... considering Android is a Linux Derivative... I believe it's the most installed OS.  You cannot get your standard user to really get beyond a few features in Windows, it would be hard with Linux.  There are some technical challenges for people - Windows normally just has this stuff readily available where they don't have to think.  Think about iPhone versus Android phone.  There's a lot more to an Android phone.  Your standard user doesn't want to think.

The zombies definitely add a challenge when jumping people or getting jumped.  Once they start interfering with the process either way, you can have a pretty big fight on your hand.  So they can surround you and kill you while you're fighting... or after the fight when you don't have a ton of health left.

This made the game a lot of fun though.

yeah... Titanfall 2 takes a bit to get used to... but I love the game.  I'm decent at it though.

@CreepinDeth @retro junkie  @targetrasp I might make a Linux topic.  I installed Microsoft Hyper-V on Windows 10 and now I have Ubuntu and OpenSuse installed.  I'm going to test with CENTOS as well Fedora.  These are all a part of studies that I'm doing right now.

I'm starting to work with Amazon Web Servers (AWS)... and Working to start my Technical Documentation / How-to site. All this new knowledge as well as all my stuff from work will be documented for a couple different reasons.  Most importantly... for me to keep out there for myself and I plan to do this and share with others.  There won't much of a forum there - but Might be looking for people to help with some technical documentation, how-to articles, and they will range from Easy to Level III type work.  I plan to have easier stuff for people searching on stuff like How-to with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint...  or power setting stuff - and there will be organization to help segregate stuff.

Anyway... more on that later.

Hear Mega Man?

I ended up not purchasing the season pass and opted to put the money into the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Pro edition for PlayStation 4 from GAmestop.  That cost a pretty penny... but I was jones-ing for the steel book.   Don't ask why...  It's something I've done since the original Black Ops - on any edition I could get.  WWII I was not able  to get the steel book - if there was one.  I didn't research if there was.

Maybe if the Call of Duty: WWII Season Pass content goes on super sale, I'll buy into it.

In this one, there are checkpoints.  So you may have to repeat some tasks.. but you don't start all the way over.   I'm pretty sure the original was that way as well.

@retro junkie - I think the music is pretty good.  I still don't own this game - decided against buying it so far... but still plan to pick it up.

@targetrasp I haven't seen them anywhere.... maybe they were brought back and sold wholesale somewhere.... or they are wholesale in the smaller shops - if those shops truly exist anymore.  Does Gamestop still have the endless supply of the portal?
