$12K is WAY too much for a TV.  I doubt this one will ever make it to the cheaper realms either.  Honestly... I have trouble spending over $1200 for a TV these days.  I love a superb tv just as much as the next, but I'm still rocking my 80LB 55" Plasmas I bought.  The glass on the front is thick and it's a solid build.    Many of the TVs today are super cheaply built.  They are light and super easy to break if you meat claw them wrong.  They look pretty good though...

There are a number of bonus items... but Amazon.com has this listed at $350.

Is it worth it?   This has to be one of the larger amount of items included in a special edition release.  The box is pretty large as well at just shy of 4 feet long.  I only saw a PlayStation4 version... but according to image, there is an Xbox One version as well.

Current prices appear to be about $12-13k for the 77" version of this LG Signature TV --> LG OLED77W8P 77" 4k TV 2160P - Wallpaper OLED - Smart TV - UHD - HDR.  I was trying to get a link to the LG site... but it's not loading so far.  Must be for the high demand of this TV

This TV looks pretty cool and  in one of the comments he states "the TV is a little flexible."  I've seen this with Nokia test smart phones way many years back.  They were developing flexible screens.. though this never actually came out on the Nokia phones.   They had the tech though.

I saw 2 Amiibos and a few skylanders at Gamestop over the weekend. all new in package. I'm just wondering where all the used ones are.

1.) In the toilet... now in the sewer
2.)  Melted in fireplace
3.) collected is my best guess - collected for now. Many of them actually have really cool designs.  My guess is we won't see the used market inflate for a couple years at least.

It's cool you found some more.  I was at Target the other day... there were no Amiibos to be found.

LOL... @retro junkie I'm telling you.... I'm having a hard time not buying it.  But just a heads up, you can get the digital complete version of Soldner X-2 for the PlayStation Vita on the PlayStation store for $12.50.  IF you don't care about having the media... it's a good option.   You can play it on the VITA and PlayStation 3 for that price!

Oh man... Sin and Punishment N64... yup... forgot about that one.  I paid a pretty price for mine.  Same with Bangai-O for the Nintendo 64.  They were definitely worth it though.  I believe they have appreciated now.

@targetrasp They are overpriced normally... but have come back in line with a more reasonable cost on the current sets.  You can usually find them for discount a little bit after they are launched.  At that point, you can find some pretty ridiculous deals.

Some of the larger sets can be found for pretty good deals as well.  They have unique parts... but nothing SUPER crazy that you cannot use with other sets. 

Overall ... the Minecraft sets are super unique and pretty cool.  Though some of the earlier ones were way over priced and pretty basic... and filled with small 1x1 pieces and studs.  I still liked them at that point, because they were unique - IE the Minecraft cube boxes. They just weren't work the price.

So far, this is a Japanese only launch and it looks really cool.  There are 4 games in the standard edition for $50:

Now... the Special Edition is something that peaked my curiosity.  I really want it... but it costs $210 from Play-asia.com as it is.   According to what I read, pricing on it should be 16,800 Yen or $143-145ish depending on currency. 

According to this Limited Run Thread for Darius Cozmic Collection (NSW) and the following twitter post [Preorder] Darius Cozmic Collection back up for preorder... the games are all supposed to be on the Nintendo Switch Cartridge as opposed to download some of them later.  This brings in the speculation that they may not be offered later.

Some people were stating $210 is a good price due to the current cost of those titles... some spike to $100 alone.  I really want this... but $210 is hefty.  It is a really cool collection of games.


What are you thoughts?  Anyone else excited for this title?

The most awful lunch I remember putting in my mouth was a lunch of Navy Beans at school.  Talk about nasty...  It's still one of the worst things I put in my mouth to this day. This was also at the time when Lunches at the school were pretty good... so they had no excuse on that one.  THANKFULLY they only had that once... and it left a lasting impression for life - impressive.

by far the beef ravioli and awesome home made Pizza.  This is long before the Michelle Obama lunch plan that ruined lunches (good intensions, horrible execution).  The lunch ladies were telling me a couple years back... about 50% of all lunches were being wasted  - so lunch trash and food waste went way up.  Some of the local High schools have ditched the plan... but lunches there are now $4  a pop as a result.  Packing in the best option anymore.

ANYWAY.. the couple food items I mentioned above were home made at the time and were absolutely amazing.  I would get super hungry on the days they served those.  You could just smell the food in the hall.

I have a few times - mainly because I wanted the physical copies.  So right now, there's this game for the PlayStation VITA - it's a physical copy.  It is harder to find now and so they are charging a pretty penny for it. I almost bought it but then noticed the digital version on the PlayStation shop... for about 1/3 of the price.  Now, I wanted the new physical copy... but after seeing that... a 1st world problems dilemma ensued LOL.

You should at least wait for the new version if you do end up getting one. Next year is just around the corner.

Exactly @CreepinDeth and @targetrasp - That's what I'm trying to avoid... but it's so tempting right now because they always bring out cool new sets and bundles.

And yes... I'm a little surprised we didn't see more of a updated Console for the Wii U.  I get what you mean @Bomber Man ... it seemed like it was barely out before the Switch came out.. unlike the Wii  to Wii U transition time frame.


@retro junkie The price point of the switch is pretty high... 100% agree and no doubt about that.    That's the biggest factor of me not pulling the trigger.  If it was $250 for the Switch Super Smash Brothers bundle... I probably wouldn't have hesitated.  $350+ ... that's pretty high.

Whether it's due to low supply,  hard to find, a brand new copy years later,  or you just wanted it and the game cost more at that time ... what have you bought that you paid top dollar for?

Maybe you bought a much more expensive physical copy when the digital copy is $5 cheap.  We've all done it... you know you're guilty lol...  and I'm thinking about a Shmup for the VITA right now.   I'll post up on that in the near future.

That is correct... it was whoever could grab it.  D3 gives each player something, but they can immediately drop it from their inventory for someone to pick it up.

The Diablo 2 version dropped better stuff and at times.  The old Diablo 3 loot system didn't drop that much - and Legendary stuff.... forget it.  Legendary stuff falls a lot more frequently.  Though you could argue it's not as good or whatever... even the rarer stuff that fell in the original loot system wasn't that great.  It normally only fell at major bosses.  Now... you could hit a pot and a legendary item could fall.  I thought one fell the other day from a pot... maybe it was an enemy by the pot... but I Thought it was from the pot lol.

the free psn games are so hit or miss.... The good free game is usually something I bought a year or so ago.

EXACTLY!  It's been about a year since AXIOM Verge game out LOL.  and you're right about the hit and miss part.  I just meant so I could get it for the Vita without paying a stupid amount.   

If I can find the PS4 version around here... I'll probably do it.  It's pretty cheap on Amazon right now.

Interesting enough.. younger gamers don't seem to discuss games like they used to. DEmographics change... but honestly, I think it will change again.  The current communication methods are not near as effective.  I know Reddit jokes about the old style, but reddit doesn't offer the best format either... it's preference.  Discord and Facebook... you lose a lot in the transition of topics and searching stuff... forget it.  permanence is nothing there... even though the information is there... good luck finding it.

Honestly, I Cannot believe he bought Diablo 3.  It's hilarious he likes it now.  As we said yesterday, it was a train wreck. I wrote it off as well until the auction house was closed down and the brought out the Reaper of Souls expansion. They also fixed the loot system to be more like Diablo 2... this helped immensely as well.

It is... it's something that's different in Windows 10 and it's kind of annoying.  They went the way of Facebook / Linked in... instead of completely managing at the device level.  I guess it's good because if a device is compromised, you might have an added layer of security there... though I'm sure that's easy to compromise as well.

True True - though I will say even younger gamers of today play online differently than a decade ago.  It really is interesting to see the differences and how the markets have moved.

Privacy settings - privacy -  microphone - - > make sure to allow apps access to microphone this happened during some update and that's what my issue was. Annoying lol ... but I enabled it and my microphone now works.  I might post a fix topic to make this easier to find in the future.

@retro junkie you know... I've really looked into the Playstation Vita OLED once you said this... I thought I about upgrading.  I think I'll create a topic on the OLED PlayStation Vita.  Some love it and others do not due to colors shown.

I dig OLED for the most part... so this is an interesting topic.  They really should look amazing IMO.

There have been several versions launched.   What Version do you own?   I ended up buying the 1st gen model and then added the 64GB memory card... which I believe was only released in Japan.  I found it absolutely necessary to get the 64GB memory card to hold all the games.  As that filled up, I started deleting games after I platinum'd the games.  What did you find works best and what did you like the best?

Very cool - So you noticed a speed increase?  I noticed UBUNTU works very well - in the same context you mentioned.  Especially using Oracle Virtual Box...  I have not installed these OS's out of a Virtual environment at this time.  I mean I have installed them previously on boxes, but at this point, I'm installing virtual environments.    This would be where I can have several different OS's installed.  The UBUNTU environment I installed is UBUNTU Server 18.04.1.  I'm going to have that environment setup - bridged the network connections... and then CENTOS (and I plan to work with Fedora) will connect to it.  This is currently underway - the connections and bridged networks are all setup and ready to go.

Have you tried working with something like this, @retro junkie ?

Hm.  I just checked target.  They didn't have it there.  I was thinking of picking it up.  This game looks cool.

It would be cool to have the Vita version.  It would be cooler if it was free on psn for both PS4 and PS Vita
