I've seen the first two and about 9 minutes of the third one. It's interesting enough to keep watching but I'm not sold yet. I could stop watching it easily but I do want to see where they take it.

@BLUEVOODU Radiata Historia is awesome - I'm 20 hours deep right now.

@retro junkie mentioned Radiant Historia a while ago so i picked up the Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology for 3ds and @Grindspine 's talk of Octopath reminded me I had it. Amazon won't deliver Octo until tuesday so to prime the RPG pump I unrwapped Radiant and went to work.

I'd planned on playing for an hour or two but I've already put over 7 hours in the game. Its almost good enough to be mentioned along side chronotrigger and Final Fantasy. Atlus makes some good games and this is by far one of them. Octopath may not get played until i finish Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology.

I've been itching to play it but the price of admission is still high. Anything reminiscent of FF3 should be an automatic purchase for me. I don't know what my hold up has been but there's less to it now.

I'm sure most people still characterize video games as a hobby / recreation dominated by minors. When video game companies build in a mechanic that's essentially gambling there's bound to be consequences, just because of the assumed audience.

most of the disc based consoles can be fixed. There's a lot of youtube videos on how to fix them. Some are simple, some require some pretty fine soldering skills. If that's not your thing there's tons of services out there. I'd never throw anything away, even if it becomes a parts donor later.

I've had amazing nintendo, super nintendo, atari, sega, genesis, cd, etc. collections that I've sold off when i lost interest or fell on hard times. I can tell you I'd pay double to have what i sold off back, and it'd still be worth 10 times that... The regret is real.

Since the last sell off, I've been steadily rebuilding my collection. There's a bunch i cant afford now that I once owned especially some of the Saturn, GameCube, neo geo, and snes games. I absolutely take value into consideration. I buy games in hopes they'll appreciate. Some I'm considering using a grading service. I've chosen not to in the past because i would give up access to the game but with the retro systems and virtual consoles there's always options. Some of the games I really want to have graded and encapsulated still aren't available except illegally so I've held off, but if stuff the Rule of Rose and The mis adventures of Tronne Bonne continue to rise I'll be ok going without just to protect the game.

I've also started buying special editions and limited release type games in hopes they'll appreciate. I've got two sealed mario kart live home circuit and two sealed super mario 3d collection games that I'll likely just put up and hope that appreciate. I've also got the ringfit and all the labo stuff as well in same condition.

I'm not quite there yet but soon I'll have to have a room just dedicated to games and collectables. I've got so much in storage and still collecting that at some point it'll have to become a factor in a new home purchase.

Retro is aging backwards while I'm one step closer to yelling "get off my lawn" at the neighbor kids.

I watched this game on prime day go up to 20 something and back down to just under 17, so I finally did grab it. I was looking forward to playing it until retro completely ruined it for me! I love shooters, I do not love bullet hell shooters! Maybe I should have paid more attention before i purchased!

I've started watching x-files at least a dozen times but flame out.

I really dig those early 90's show but i always end up flaming out. I'll get a season or two in, not watch for a long time, forget where i was and really not want to start over but not spend the time trying to figure out where i left off. Star Trek TNG, X-files, Millenium, The Simpsons, Brisco County Jr, Parker Lewis Can't Loose, Saved By the Bell, Beavis and Butthead, are just some of the few i've spaced on.

X-files is probably the only one on that list I've not seen every episode of (there may be a TNG or two) so it's on the top of the queue for sure.

my switch is still in the laptop bag i took on vacation last month, packed away in my closet. I've been meaning to get it out and charge it up every weekend but haven't made the effort yet.

Seems like a great game to fill small gaps of time with

its one of those i hope goes on sale for Christmas. Last year i bought a ton of september and october launches just to see them 20 dollars cheaper a month or two later. I'm guessing limited availability of the newer consoles may change things this year but i hope not, I hope to be able to grab that last round of new and great games at a discount before moving on to the next generation.
#228
It's good. Its not ground breaking or earth shattering BUT it's well worth the watch.

The WII U taught everyone in the video gaming community what poor branding does, I don't know why Microsoft continued with the pitiful nomenclature.

played for 45 minutes... I don't know what I was expecting and I knew going into it that it wasn't turn based but I've not been able to force myself to go back to it

I'm certain some data miner would have found it by now!

with the buzz about galaxy 2 Nintendo has to be gearing up for a cash grab with galaxy 2 at the center, This can't be the last thing they do for Mario's 35th

Zelda's is next year, I hope we get something amazing, retro console with every Zelda game perhaps... c'mon Nintendo, do it!

I'm TVed out now! I've managed to watch everything I wanted to see on Prime, Netflix, and Disney+ at least watched enough to where I'm tired of watching and I cant find something to get into.

ziplining in this game is the biggest pain, if you don't hit it just right you fall to your death, did that a lot

I went ahead and ordered a second physical copy to keep sealed. I've yet to try it out but i'm starting to hear grumblings, sees it may not be living up to expectations
#237
I'm glad i preordered a physical copy from amazon and not gamestop... now if amazon pulls that crap i'll be pissed.
#238
LOL... maybe they'll think about decreasing the distance on those supply runs then..
