@mastermario ICQ Is still on there... it's  actually a thing again. LOL

@Mai Valentine - The Last of Us is so good. @SpartanEvolved and I used to play the online back on Ps3.  It was pretty cool.  We definitely need a Last Of Us topic at some point.

@Strubes I have that game... I just haven't played it yet.  It looks to be a blast.  I have the 1st game too... can't say I've broke 2 min on it.  Gaming ADD hits hard....

LOL... hoping to get a few rounds of PSO with @mastermario (cough cough).  Hoping to install tonight.

@targetrasp ... I need Breath of the Wild.  I need more time 1st... but this is very high up on my list to buy.  The wants... the wants.  Surprised we don't have a Breath of the Wild topic.

Retro Gaming and Hardware / Re: Neo Geo Mini
August 28, 2018, 01:26:28 PM
@targetrasp Sorry... I think I missed this response.  I had the general game set that came with it, dock, 2 controllers ( I think it was 2)... and then Last Blade was included at the time.  There wasn't enough play on the system to justify buying the other games.  In face, it slipped out of active play pretty quickly.

I re-visit the Neo Geo X here and there now... It would be cool to check out this Neo Geo Mini as well.  Been tempted to look at it more since @CreepinDeth posted this lol.

did yours get opened and enjoyed? I've not cracked the shrink wrap on mine
@targetrasp  NICE!  You're one of the 1st one to start getting the post bars lol.  Half.  I started those at 500.

OK... we actually enjoyed playing it.  I started playing the original mode and forgot how much of a punch in the face this game initially is without instructions.  I haven't played it in awhile, so I figure everything out again lol.   SO... after repeatedly punching myself in the face... I got it.  It was a lot of fun.  Hopefully I can do up a full on review for this game.

Here is my review on Amazon.com:
Bluevoodu's Amazon.com review of Flashback 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition - Nintendo Switch

We then started playing the new modes... I will save this for my main review... unless you want to hear it now? :)  Essentially there's a tutorial and stuff like that.

There are video options where you can make it like you were playing with Scan Lines...etc... and CRT settings to make it look more like a CRT.  Overall.. it's pretty fun.    The only real downside I see is the color manual doesn't fit in the thin metal case.  The manual is too tall. IMO that's not a BIG deal... it's kind of dumb... but not a big deal.  Game wise... it's fun.

IDK if you should open yours - that has to  be your choice.  I still have sealed games I haven't played yet, but I generally get around to opening them and playing at some point.

@targetrasp I think this game looks like it might be alright.  Hard to not get a little excited seeing Starfox in the line up.    I agree... it looks pretty vanilla... but something about this game has me intrigued.   I'm not intrigued about the $75 price point though lol.

The "toys  to life" aspect has its place in the market.  It's hard to see where at this time... as you mentioned, they end up making it to the discount shelf.  But come on... Lego Dimensions with the Lego Goonies "add-on" characters??  lol... yes please.  I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY (is that enough for you??) want Lego Goonies.    I would pay $60 1st day for Lego Goonies.  I know I'm being super stupid with that price point... but I Would do it ... NAOW!!!!

The take away from this post should be:  I really fricking  want Lego Goonies.  HEEEYYYYY YOOOOUUUU GUUUYYYYYSSSS!!!!
#2256
Yeah.  Maybe that's the difference... humor styles people enjoy.

I'd like to see it again. Makes me want to go back and watch the 1st one again too lol.
#2257
@retro junkie LOL.. probably not... although I wore my shirts somewhat large back then so they were hanging off me.  There might be a fighting chance it would fit me today (nope).

@mastermario  you know.... I Cannot find a single one of these on Ebay or anywhere.  and because I thought it was interesting.    ;D

Arcade / Re: Arcade 1UP
August 25, 2018, 06:10:14 PM
@targetrasp  lol you're dead on correct with that assessment.

Operation wolf was fun.... You could also do Nam 1975 and I would personally love a line of Arcade 1UP machines dedicated to just shmups. It would be my Shmup room lol   :))

While doing a bunch of stuff ... I found one of my old shirts from when I was a kid lol.  My Super Nintendo (SNES) Starfox  Super FX t-shirt.

It's still in pretty good condition. I don't think I received this in the Starfox tournament I was in... I think it was bought from them store.  I need to verify that.

On the front side... there is a Super FX logo. On the back side,  there's an Arwing, Starfox logo, and 1992 Nintendo copyright.

I will probably upload these to the server outside attachments... attachments they are right now.   In fact, I had to remove one.  I'll get them up as attachments layer. I thought it was cool and wanted to share.

Here are the images:

lol.. the diner - hm... new site idea.   ;D

404 sarcasm not found... @targetrasp lol... nope... it's found.
#2261
@retro junkie What I find amazing about this... is the $60 price point.  HDMI N64 has been upwards $400.  Others have been $100+.

Are there other options to provide scan lines like the N64 HDMI Updates?

How much play have you had with this so far?  Still digging it?
#2262
I have been performing testing of many different features, copying the site...etc.... and I broke some stuff today   ;D  YAAAAAAYYY (Picturing headshot sound from Halo).  ;D

Anyway... I think everything is fixed.  If you run into anything not working, please let me know.

Also, if you haven't been here in awhile... drop by, say hi, and post it up!  It is your Civic duty.

Thank you,

Yeah there definitely were bugs on the Dreamcast lol.

I bet @MegaDrive20XX is getting this title.  What say you mega? Lol. Not sure he'll see this... time to text him.

Has this game been hyped a lot around the net?  I've seen a few stories but not a ton.
#2264
@Kinikko that sounds like an awful and a crappy experience. Did anyone else that was with you say it was that awful too?
#2265
I know it's been awhile.  Any other thoughts on this?

Personally I'd really like to see another Vita.  More remote play capabilities -  Maybe even switch-style of play.  Remote play was a great idea. It wasn't a perfect translation but a good attempt in most cases.

Oled - yes please.

Did anyone else see this?  Considering Intel doesn't have a Discrete GPU yet... this is a big undertaking. Obviously more competition is good. Nvidia's prices are ridiculous right now.

Intel Teases 'Arctic Sound' Discrete Graphics Cards For 2020 – First Full on Dedicated Products Aimed at The Gaming Market - wccftech.com

I meant to post this awhile ago.  Take a look...  What do you think the impact will be?

2020 is quite a ways off... however, this looks pretty interesting and could be good news for gamers.

Post it up!

Ya'll need to stop playing that crappy Fortnite thing. Tried it a couple times and hated it....really can't stand the build mechanics. The people that do that well absolutely demolish you.
@mastermario Once you have the building thing down... you can do the same thing.  My favorite though is when they build up and I plant about 3-4 sticky bombs and their structure and it all blows up at once... I try to throw a couple late bombs in there to kill the person as well.

It's super happy good fun times when you sticky bomb someone LOL...  Game over.

Thank you @CreepinDeth man... those look pretty  cool.  I dig the idea.

@targetrasp aight... let's do it. Vanity gone.   The bed will be gone from my house as well.  Done and done. The floor is good enough.

So was I the only person here that was incredibly bored with it and thought it was a giant clusterfrick?  XD  It's like in my bottom 5 marvel movies.
@Kinikko LOL... based on all the previous responses... I have to say Yes you are  :))

It was definitely different... but I enjoyed the movie.  If I saw It a second time around... I may have a different story.  MAY have.

@targetrasp Do you have Links to the company for these?   I guess I've been a little in the dark about them... I wish I had more room as well  ;D
lol... sell the couch.  I hope they come out with the light gun one asap because that would be funny.   We will hold you to it.

"Now targetrasp... you promised.   Do it... do it, do it, do it."

@CreepinDeth man... it's been so long.    I created a Shenmue 1 & 2 topic... I think the last time I tried this was over 10 years ago on a Dreamcast.   I had some special edition Shenmue 2 Dreamcast Import (at least I think it was special edition).  I had to do a secondary disc boot 1st before I could use the game.

I didn't understand some parts of the game due to language barriers... but the game was fun.

IT would be interesting to go back and play the parts I didn't understand again lol.  I never did make it back to the game and I long sold the stock.
#2274
@trkorecky I'm with you there... I just used that for the most part with the PS3.  The stock headset kind of hurt the ear lol.  The turtle beach in ear head set is what I upgraded to... but it wasn't better.  I didn't get a headset with my Ps4... I don't think I did at least.

@Mai Valentine Thank you for the suggestion... I will look into those.  My buddy at work uses them as well.

@Jack - That's an idea... I have an older pair from my old iPhone with the regular jack.  I will give that a shot 1st since that's free and in my possession.  I never even thought about that.

PC Gaming and Platform / Re: Steam Spring Cleaning
August 19, 2018, 08:17:31 PM
I didn't have a chance to do this... I Wish I did.  Steam did come up with a great idea.

@targetrasp @Grindspine @Kinikko - How did you end up with this - complete a lot of them?

I hope they bring this back.  And yeah...I have quite a few games where I thought the same as you Grindspine.  I found those on my quest to play every game in my library for 5 minutes.  I bought a lot of old Novalogic games... they were fun but have aged quite bit... and they just don't have the same magic anymore.  It sucks saying that...

You have some cool stuff there @Grindspine

LOL... I checked mine... it's been awhile since I added anything, but I saw this image:
Bluevoodu Screenshot - Team Fortress 2

Check it out.  This is the last time @Grindspine , @MegaDrive20XX , @mastermario , @SpartanEvolved and I played Team Fortress 2.   Although I don't see Mastermario's or SpartanEvolved's name there.   I'm pretty sure they were playing with us

@Grindspine I've been looking into adding this game to my Steam collection.   The images you linked are cool... I like the art style a lot.  I probably would've put the game in the back burner as well with a super sad begging.   Last of Us had some serious feels and It was a little difficult to play the single player at some points.

Cool stuff... I'll check into this game.   Since it's been awhile... what are your thoughts now?

Watched this again @Jack ... I'm even more pumped for this game.  There appears to be some bulletstorm type influence as well. The motion is fluid - and I hope the gameplay translates well to the home experience.  Music seemed pretty cool as well.

@targetrasp I agree... I hear what you mean.  I didn't catch that at 1st.

Pumped for this Title... May pre-order.
#2280
@Jack I'm pumped...   We will be getting it 1st day.   There are a ton of new characters... And Castlevania is now included?    What happened in this world to get Castlevania into Super Smash Bros?!

I', hoping the speed of gameplay is identical to Melee.  I Think Wii U was close to it... but the Wii version was too slow IMO.
