Some of the reviewers do a great job of taking screenshots and videos for mobile games (Such as Nintendo DS, 3DS) as well Consoles.  I've been a little confused on the DS and 3DS systems and how they get these Screenshots / videos so well.

What do you use to take screenshots and videos?  Do you know what these other reviews use to get their shots of the 3DS and DS?  There's a device of some sort...

I used to have an ATI All in Wonder Pro graphics card that allowed me to hook TV and systems directly into the card.  That made it very handy... but I haven't seen a device like this for awhile.  Then again... I haven't searched for awhile either.

I might have to look for those games as well - feel free to post up if you have any more information on those  ;D

I played Tetris Ultimate - Ps Vita.... I was trying to resurrect memories of Tetris DS.  Didn't work. I'll write a little review on this soon.

Also, Lego Hobbit for the Vita... made a little more progress.  I've said it before... it's different than other Lego games.

I bought this game the other day... I'm pretty impressed with the format on the switch... and I must say... it's a wonderful game to have on a mobile hand held Console.  I like the way it looks on the handheld - the colors, the presentation on screen... it's good!

Here is a direct link:
ACA NEOGEO BLAZING STAR - Nintendo Switch - Nintendo.com

Now... I have a hard time buying many single games at $7.99 as a digital download.  For Neo Geo games... it's a little different.   Why is it different?  If you've ever been a Neo Geo collector of any kind, you know it's not the best system to collect if you're on a budget.

Any one else tried this game on the Switch>

Nice!  I didn't see these colors as much. I have the original Black version.   I had a smokey black Japanese import at one point as well - that one looked really cool.

Ridge Racer 64 was a pretty fun game.  It was cool to see a Ridge Racer on a Nintendo System.  Speaking of Ridge Racer, I don't think we've seen one of those in a long time.

I posted a Sega Ages topic asking if you all think we will ever see another Sega Ages:
Sega Ages Series - Any chance we will see them on the Playstation 4?

The question for this thread is... what is your favorite Sega Ages?  What did you enjoy most and why?

Post it up!

Back in the PS2 days.. we had Sega Ages.  We haven't really seen anything like that on the Playstation 3 or 4 - is there a likelihood that something like it will be released?  OR will it all be digital now?

Do you think or would you like remastered versions if possible?

Happy Birthday Targetrasp!

Enjoy your digital cake.  Mmmm cake  ;D

@targetrasp LOL... that's pretty funny.  I totally misread that.

yeah... My SQL skills aren't super superb right now.  I can do a lot of SQL, but not for site development at this time... which is why I'm looking for someone to help put some features in place.

If you are asking about the music score, oriental type feel. Voice sound bites are raspy, grainy.
Yes - to both.   Many of the Turbo Grafx games were like that.  Raiden on the Turbo Grafx was one of my favorite versions.  Might do a topic on that at some point... but it too had sound that was a little weaker than it should've been.  Music, for the most part, is pretty good on the Turbo Grafx.

Was actually referring to @mastermario 's gif post.  xD

But yeah this sounds totally cool.  Maybe could have some sort of list in the game's database of people who have checked it off of their list?

LOL... ok - I totally took that as my stuff ... but it definitely applies to @mastermario 's post.   And that would be cool - expandable list - that way when we have thousands of members... the whole page isn't taken up in who completed the game LOL.

@targetrasp Idea #2 would be in the forum of a MySQL database.  It would be for the site as opposed to each individual member.  It would be member contribution and it would be 1 large compilation (eventually) of all Video games across all platforms including ARCADE.    We would try to include screenshots, links to forum discussions... and other "items" to integrate.... It would be cool to link to reviews and what-not as well (see last comment on this post).  Make sense?  Dig it?

Now your other idea is interesting... MAYBE we could do something like that.   IE It would integrate into the Master Gaming Repository list... and someone can have their own list... which technically pulls all data off the master list.  They can just have a few fields of their own for condition...etc.  Call It Members Collection - or my repository.  All it does is build their list (checkable boxes... preloads data to their list... easy check box delete if necessary).   They could add the couple columns of information.  The lists could be direct linkable to other sites.  I think MySQL could handle this, no?

Does that mean everyone thinks the Gaming Backlog Tracker sounds like a good and useful feature that will get used?

I also want to get some CMS action going and work on reviews and other content like Nintendolife / GAmefaqs...etc.  More on that coming later.  Need to take steps and not try to eat the elephant at once.

Adding tags below because I don't think it worked right last time. IF you are double notified... my apologies.

@retro junkie How is the sound in this game?

I was looking some stuff up today... and just happened to run across a Youtube video where someone did a run on Gamer difficulty.    They made it look easier than it really is lol.

UN Squadron is one of my favorite Shoot em ups (Shmups) ever.  I thought this was a cool video... wanted to share.  This will not be the only UN Squadron topic - more will come - some comparisons as well from SNES to Arcade.  Speaking of Arcade, I'd like to find an arcade cabinet at some point.

LOL cheeseless pizza?  That would be a sausage roll or something like that, no?

Well he's allergic to milk, so he just gets the crust with a crap ton of toppings on it.  I don't know what a sausage roll is.  XD
A sausage roll can be with or tomato sauce.  It's basically a breaded Roll with sausage.. spices... and a few other things inside.  Almost like a cheeseless Calzone.

That sucks he can't have milk products - It's hard to be allergic to food items commonly used.

LOL... thank you for that helpful image Mastermario - Granted it was before I finished the text.

Actually... That would be a cool image to try to shrink and use for some other things.

^ What does that even mean?  XD

Is there some way we could have a like submission form in the backlog thing?  Like they would enter the name of the game, then check off what console it's for or something?  Then it would store into our database?
lol... I knew I Would get the what does this even mean.  I couldn't get the idea out on paper.

So let's start with the Gaming Backlog Tracker. Imagine the backlog form as being able to enter all your gaming backlog... that would be in a check off style list.  When completed... the game would have the line striking it as in the above example.  The form is a view of the database... technically everything you see here is pulling from the database.

2nd idea... I should've just left it off - take this as a separate idea:
The gaming Repository - IE the cataloging of all games - would pull information from the same database.  The view will be a grand list of game.  User would be able to help create the repository by submitting game information to help build the full list of games with certain information - IE full name, rating, how many players, Barcode number, other information points, and maybe in the future... trophy lists..etc.  We could then expand the games to include FAQs and other things.

For now, we will concentrate on the gaming backlog tracker - where you would enter your gaming backlog... and check it off as you are complete.  Some of the database information will be pre-filled in - for example  - systems... and the rest will be filled in by the member.  IT may be a simple list of Game name, System.

Clearer than mud?

I remember hearing the Vegas story in the movie 21.  I know I've heard it before that... but 21 was the 1st time I've heard it explained.

It sounded pretty Plausible.

LOL cheeseless pizza?  That would be a sausage roll or something like that, no?
#2388
LOL... they are ridiculous!  Most games... I just forget about it.  Some are impossible if you get into them later.  IE one of the Lord of the Rings games... I Think it was Conquest???    Anyway... you cannot get a few trophies because they are multiplayer based and the servers are no longer.   That kind of sucks that there is no way to od it.

Thank you for the congrats.

The taxidermy items are weird as well... a little surprised they have in the jar stuff in eBay.  I get taxidermy animals... but the jarred stuff? Weird lol.

ok - Spoiler Tag has been fully implemented.

There are 3 new BBC codes you can use:

[spoiler][/spoiler]
   -   Spoiler - This is denoted by SP in the BBC bar

[changelog][/changelog]
   -   Change Log - This is denoted by the paper and hour glass... to the right of SP

[offtopic][/offtopic]
   -   Off Topic - denoted by OT - to the right of the hour glass icon

@targetrasp and @Kinikko I'm going to create a new topic on the Gaming Backlog Tracker.  Topic here:

General Discussion / Gaming Backlog Tracker - Idea
April 12, 2018, 10:24:57 AM
The Gaming Backlog Tracker is an idea I had from a long time ago.  I'm still sorting out the different ideas / avenues... trying to see what we can do from a database standpoint... but getting ready to talk with a developer with these ideas.

I mentioned in the Thougts on Site, Features, Layouts and Sections - Round 2! Thread:
QuoteI was thinking of a list where you could populate certain game information.. and be able to check it off the list where it would strike it out... or you could delete it.   I was thinking of making something though where it would be more of a repository where the game companies and systems are saved... maybe leading to a game repository of some sort - more to come on that.

There would be a list in everyone's profile - and also a searchable / viewable list from the main forum.   In the profile will be a page where you are able to enter your "gaming backlog" in a list.  Each list item will have a check box you can "check off" and save... this will strike the entry out like - The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask 3D - Nintendo 3DS. You could also delete entries if you don't want them.    This would be the "Gaming Backlog Tracker" idea... it's to help gamers get on top of their gaming back log, organize it... and keep track.   Maybe we could build in some kind of progress indicator for each game.

So in the database... I would have as Many of the companies / systems as possible to start with... but won't be able to have everything  pre-defined at 1st.

There are 2 thoughts on this right now:
1.)   I'm thinking of creating a game repository where we try to create an entire Video Game Repository for all the Video Games out there.   This will be difficult and Time consuming... and maybe not in scope at this time.  This is part 2 I've wanted to do.  We could have member submissions for information... where we could accept pieces of the information to go into the repository.  WE could then build from this point to have GAMEFAQs style pages.

2.) Just have the stand alone Game tracker for now. Not as sexy... but try to grow it later.

Personally I like option number #1... but I'm not sure this site is ready for it.  IT's definitely not ready member wise as it will take many members contributing.  I Would also like to build in rep system for those who helped and a way to credit members for contributing.

Listing a few of you here for comments:
@trkorecky @CreepinDeth @Kinikko @targetrasp @ThravRande @medataoh @Aya-Kun @retro junkie @mastermario @Grindspine
This questions goes for all members too...  What do you all think about this idea?

At the end of the day... I'm committed to making this site awesome.  Personally I think we are FAR ahead of where we were.  I know I've said that a few times.

Please post up your thoughts and comments.  This will probably be updated a little after I stop ADD-ing a bit... and can organize the thoughts better.

@mastermario I will try to download it by tonight... see how PUBG Mobile is lol.

Spent the afternoon playing Spyro the eternal night for the GB SP. Very good game.
@retro junkie I've always wondered how that Spyro games played... I think I tried one for the PSX a long time ago... but didn't do much with it.

I got through the Call of Duty WW2 Campaign. Very satisfying, but a little too easy on regular. Only one part took more than a try or two. I mist tons of mementos and heroic acts but I feel like they'd be easy to get on regular if someone was so inclined. I was rushing through because my son was trying to finish first.
@targetrasp - so is this game worth it to buy?  I had serious reservations.... we should create a topic on this game and visit it.
* if you have it on PS4... maybe I'll try to buy that version and we can play multiplayer at some point.  THOUGH we still need to hit up Diablo 3... the itch that needs to be scratched again.

Looks like I updated the wrong thread with the following:

For Me:
Lego Hobbit - PlayStation Vita.  This game is organized a bit different... so I'm trying to get used to it.  I see to have completed 3 sections / trials / whatever you want to call it of 1 level.   I plan to write some kind of reviews on the Lego games as some point.
#2398
LOL... you bought it on the wrong day!  It's whopper Wednesday.. not Tuesday  ;D

Banana and Grapefruit.  I cut the grape fruit like an orange... and eat the slices.  It took a little bit to get used to due to grape fruits being a tad sour... however, I love them now this way.  Super tasty.... no additional sugar.

Inspector gadget and transformers...  I remember those quite well.   But I also remember Fraggle Rock... Iiked watching that.

<a href="https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0085017/">Fraggle Rock - imdb.com</a>

Obviously GI Joe - and the GI Joe cartoon.

This was also the decade Lego was starting to make their larger and more intricate designs...  leading up to what we have today.  I had the Black Seas Barracuda.

<a href="

Obviously this was the decade Super Mario Brothers hit the arcade. This was back when about every hotel had a game room with arcade machines.  When we traveled... I would be there when the arcade opened... a few had the original Super Mario Bros arcade.

Good topic!

@Grindspine ... I think I'm going to give this a try.

The art work is really cool too... especially in the images you attached.
