i think that's the only way something like this would work long term. Train sets, slot car tracks, hot wheels.... toys in general, but especially toys that take up a lot of space are going the way of the dinosaur. I love it, and I'll likely get one but i don't think it's small enough to work as is.

I love the concept and pray it takes off but it's a toys to life concept that'll flounder..

Houses are getting more expensive and smaller around here, you've gotta be really well off to have enough floor space for something like that.

there's not been a switch in stock in asheville since march / april. It seems like a combo of supply chain disruption and increase in demand due to not doing anything else.

I've seen a few lites here and there and it looks like places are starting to get some stock but it's slim pickings in the electronics aisle anywhere

I have one kid that wants the ps5, the other wants the xbox, so... probably both

I love shooters and i love collecting rare games but I completely missed the Vita boat and don't have the stomach to get in now!

If they could get the rc cars gas powered and do this in arenas -- the eSports application would be gamechanging.

I've seen people make these things on youtube and the kit is insanely expensive. There's a small part of the wii board that gets used, the rest gets cut out. After that there's a ton of intricate soldering and having put the games on an sd card to load them.

price and time for what you get was too much for me...

i preordered the purple one. Will likely regret it, may not even take it out of the box so that when i regret it there's still a chance it'll be worth something..

I never played PUBG, would coming from COD War Zone to PUBG be disappointing?
#252
the galaxy games were amazing. I'll bet galaxy 2 comes by itself
#253
I want it so bad but there's no space here either. I may still get it just because.

IF Halo Infinite came out at lunch I'd buy it day one, now without Halo I'm doubting unless there's some awesome limited edition console.

I get burned every time i buy a launch console, smaller hard drive space, slower models, bulkier models, crappy launch games, etc.

The problem is this crap always comes out around Christmas...

I'd love to get back into halo, any halo. I'm still partial to halo 2 for MP but they're all at least ok.

downloading SFV, played a practice round just to try out the moves, not sure i'll play much... maybe go trophy hunting

For it to be more than a distraction we'd really need four people anyway. It's super fun with two until you've played for two hours, got a ship full of treasure, and some random group comes at you with a ship 4 times you're size and blows you out of the water, steals all your stuff, and kills you.

Its also a little off putting that your work in the game doesn't really get you anywhere. The only progression is with the story. You don't level up, you just get money for cosmetics. It keeps the pvp aspect fair (until it's one vs many) but it feels like you're not REALLY getting rewarded.

I still dig it, but after a 8 or so hours it's fell out of the rotation.

I finally found a friend that has game pass and we started this up...

It's a never ending fetch quest wrapped in some of the most visuals I've ever seen in a game. It's a great low stress kinda thing until someone runs up and destroys you and takes all your crap.

It'd be a little more awesome if you could turn off pvp somehow (private servers, etc) for those of us that just wanna enjoy the chill, or figure the dang game out first OR if a small party (1/2) could effectively pilot one of the big ships. Running away in a little sloop sucks, but ship vs. ship you're almost always boned.

A party of 4 would have a great time wrecking player and computer face, if you cant get a party of four that can work together or three really awesome players, the frustration spikes will incite foul language and rage quits, unless you run from ship to ship battles. You'll still have people screw with you when you go to turn stuff in though, so even thing it's painful.

We should make this a thing...

I would have to stop buying video games completely and retire before 40 to catch up on back logged games...

I played Tony Hawk on the Dreamcast a ton. it was cool for its time but I question how much I'd enjoy it now. Hopefully the music is still there

A Winner Is You / Rygar - FINALLY

I've mentioned this game in the Evercade section and in the Loser section, talking about how I've never finished it and wanted it to come out on in some sort of rerelease or compilation, the Nintendo Gods heard me!

It's one of the NES games you can play on the Switch with their online service. From memory I was able to find all Indra's treasures except for the coat of arms. I did use a map twice, once to find Lapis (where the coat of arms was) and I just couldn't remember where the floating castle was.

I bet the game in one sitting. As a kid in the 80s I couldn't beat Ligar, the final boss. I assumed it was impossible and never tried the game again. Earlier this week I finally got my win, turns out the game is fairly easy.

Nice ride. Should be easy on the pocket book gas wise!

shameless - 10 seasons on netflix - worth the watch if you're ok with raunchy ... don't watch it when the kids are up, or can walk in, or hear it...

I tend to agree with @Grindspine questioning the authority of a "doomcock" now if it was DR. Doomcock....

Since the invention of the internet, people have complained about Star Wars and there's a lot of ammunition - Jar Jar, Anakin, chemistry between padme and anakin, what trilogy was worst, who shot first, blah blah blah...

Retconning could be ok, there's some stuff in some of pre Disney books i liked. Han and Leia had twins, for instance. Luke had a love interest. There's some other stuff in the sequel trilogy that was pretty cool. Leia, Rey, and Luke's God Modes were pretty cool. Getting more than just force push, pull, lifting rocks, persuading weak minds, jumping far, and twirling a light saber out of the force powers was cool. Kylo stopping a blaster bolt was amazing. I'm ok with what's there... I'd love to see some Old republic stuff.

There's a lot of the galaxy left to explore, I'd hate to see things get tied up on one tiny piece of it.

@retro junkie

I bought every game i could and the first two i played for more than a few minutes was centipede and earth worm jim. I completely forgot how much of a pain in the ass earth worm jim gets a few stages deep. It's not quite battletoads but it gets me to that same level of frustration. I think that's a lot of the reason i enjoy it so much!
