I love board games. Monopoly is an all time favorite and I've tried to get every video game edition of it I can. I've been meaning to pick up the Nintendo version for a while now. The monopoly gamer edition is awesome, and I've got the Mario kart gamer edition but haven't managed to play yet. Finding a group of adults with enough time to sit down and play a board game is difficult

AH... those are cool.  Have you looked into sites like Ravely  or Etsy?

I have a hard time coming up with prices on stuff like this because they take a good amount of time.  We have a local Art / Coffee shop that sells a lot of stuff like this.  I've seen stuff from $17.99 to $25... or more depending on design and intricacy.   Do you have local art stores / coffee shops like that?

The other idea is... once you have patterns, you can sell your patterns as well.  Some people fare better in the pattern category. 

The other thing to keep in mind these days -  selling anything under license can come with legal issues. Sticking with original designs is probably best - if you are looking to sell.

Are you able to see if the wall is http and not https?  Not sure that's viewable outside the source.

That sounds kinda cool depending on how it works.  Only thing I'd worry about is someone like typing in some kind of progress in there if it has that kind of feature and spoiling the game.

SPOILER TAG - good call.. on the list.  Might be able to do that by Sunday.  This was added to the 1st post to keep track of what we will  OR are looking to do / add.

Hm... as far as backlog tracker... I was thinking of a list where you could populate certain game information.. and be able to check it off the list where it would strike it out... or you could delete it.   I was thinking of making something though where it would be more of a repository where the game companies and systems are saved... maybe leading to a game repository of some sort - more to come on that.

I'm looking into other ideas though for the backlog tracking.. maybe something more sophisticated as well... but as a start - was looking for a way to do what I mentioned above.


Do you have ideas or thoughts you could see on this?     I might split this out into it's own topic if it catches on.

New update last night. They (finally) fixed the random vehicle launching and there's now a Spectator Cam where you can watch the person that killed you after you die and then the person that kills them, etc.

vehicle launching?  lol - I must've missed that.

The spectator cam is a good idea!  though.. spectating team mates is good too lol

After I liked it I went to my facebook wall and it didn't post anything there to it.  Idk what it's actually doing.

If it doesn't work... maybe I need to look at the code.   Maybe Facebook updated something and I need to change the code.  I think I had to add https:// to Facebook to stop it from constantly giving a non-secure page error.  That was annoying.

@BLUEVOODU I was wrong about MSI, it was DFI that I hated. after that I treated all the 3 letter boards as lepers.

@targetrasp LOL... I see   I don't really have experience with DFI that I know of... makes sense though.

@mastermario lol. You're cute. You said that before lol. I don't work on those platforms anymore. Totally different job function.   That one about killed me with stress and environment.

I'm 3 positions away from that one. Ive been running our Ibm server platform the last 6 years. Was over 32  North American, Brazil, France, and other plant locations.  Those plants are migrating off my platform right now so I'm. Currently learning an entire new platform while leading the old platform. I'm currently grouping up with the administrators of that system - have been the last year.  The new platform covers China, India, Korea, Germany,  Poland, Czech Republic,  and tons more countries.

It's a lot right now.  I never have a lack of stuff to do In life or work lol.

@Kinikko  hahaha    thanks for that.  I understand the busy...  ridiculous lately.

@targetrasp that's what one of my old positions was like. At least twice 26 hours straight. Ew .... One cable.  You know media converters (ethernet to fiber)..  In the old position I worked, I found one above the ceiling.  I couldn't figure out why communications to one of the labs were dropping randomly. One of those failed and it was above the ceiling!!

What do you all think about a board games  board?  We might be able to include paper games such as D & D...

Would everyone be interested if we starred up a ChickenDinnerGaming.com Facebook page? 

I figure at some point we will start one... then coordinate news stories between Facebook,  ChickenDinnerGaming.com forum, steam group, and discord... and what ever else we start up.   We could have exclusive content on those service, but the content we post should be coordinated to keep things somewhat consistent.


Definitely could use help with managing these services...  posting (heck posting here as well) and trying to invite old members from our old Facebook pages... plus working to get new members.... Ultimately new members to this site.

This is part of our future strategy to continue to grow our community and this site.

Hopefully there will be cool integration between all the sites and be able to post feeds here, etc.  We can already post Facebook posts here embedded like we can embed certain videos.

So feel free to test and embed Facebook posts on this site.

Well the Like button added one to it, and the tweet button works.  I just don't use Google plus but I clicked it and it seems like it would work.  It brought up a window to post it ala facebook.  The facebook button doesn't like share it to your facebook though, just adds a "like" to the post.

Hmm... I see what you mean on the Facebook like... strange.  And by liking it... it doesn't share that at all via Facebook? Like to the feeds or what-not?

If I click it, it takes me too  Facebook login.  Just not sure if a user is logged into Facebook if it shares to the feed or shoes you liked the post.   I quit Facebook about 4 years ago .. So thank you for helping here.

If you see where it worked / if you can see where it shows up feed wise, please post a screen shot of what you see.

Thank you @Kinikko - just to try the buttons out to make sure they post and work to Facebook like, Google +1, and tweet. Even if you can try one of the services of you have it (but don't have all).  That would be a big help -

I'm on my third Gigabyte in 8 years. I only had one crap out on me, and that was only because I had it running during a thunderstorm and my surge protector wasn't enough to save it. But besides that I've never had any issues at all with my cards.

@ThravRande Gigabyte is solid like MSI and ASUS.  There are several gamers at work that swear by Gigabyte... and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Gigabyte.  I guess I wouldn't hesitate to buy MSI or ASUS either... maybe slight hesitation on ASUS lol... I would rather have my nails pulled out with pliers than to have Motherboard issues.

@targetrasp have you been getting into the game?

At least 1-2 other people from work started playing it.  The 1 guy renewed his XBOX LIVE membership just for this game... lol... he's digging it.

The rare replay is fun in small bits for a jaunt down nostalgia lane but it has very little staying power.

I've heard the same thing from several people now - so my guess is that you are SPOT on lol... regardless of gaming ADD.

So my cousin took his ps4 out of the living room and put it in his bedroom so that freed up a spot in the main room and I put my xbone there. Maybe it'll get some use out of it now.

Yeah.. lol... I'll keep watching it as well.  The 1st 6 Episode series wasn't bad.. started out rough... ended better.   I think this needs it's own topic 

OR maybe it's experimental craft of some sort.  It's crazy to read the outer space stories where they see UFO's... obviously unidentifiable... but it would be creepy to be out there and see a UFO of some sort.

Blazing Star (Neo Geo) for the switch... time to post up some SHMUP MADNESS!

Earlier this morning I found a game cube with a bunch of games 3 n64 controls, 1 3rd party gcn controller, and a bunch of those plug into your tv controller / game combos for 12 bucks.

The games are crap, except for a complete copy of Metroid prime, and the gamecube was dirty and missing the center plastic piece on top that says Nintendo. Right now everything is being stored away, but when I get some time i'm going to completely disassemble and clean it up. The kid took great care of it as all the games had the cases and the instructions, there was nothing sticky on any of the games or consoles, and there was only one scratch on the console. I can't believe the condition it was in to be that dirty.

Outside of that I went to Toys R' Us today to check out the going out of business sale and walked away with a play and charge kit for my xbone as well as a copy of the Zelda collector's edition of monopoly.

Ooo... I wonder if we should do something board game related on the boards?  thoughts?  Zelda Collectors edition of Monopoly sounds pretty cool.  I have an older Nintendo edition that was awesome.

and $12 buck... prime is a pretty good game... I would like to revisit that game.
