ok - Spoiler Tag has been fully implemented.

There are 3 new BBC codes you can use:

[spoiler][/spoiler]
   - Spoiler - This is denoted by SP in the BBC bar

[changelog][/changelog]
   - Change Log - This is denoted by the paper and hour glass... to the right of SP

[offtopic][/offtopic]
   - Off Topic - denoted by OT - to the right of the hour glass icon

@targetrasp and @Kinikko I'm going to create a new topic on the Gaming Backlog Tracker. Topic here:
Gaming Backlog Tracker - Idea topic

General Discussion / Gaming Backlog Tracker - Idea
April 12, 2018, 10:24:57 AM
The Gaming Backlog Tracker is an idea I had from a long time ago. I'm still sorting out the different ideas / avenues... trying to see what we can do from a database standpoint... but getting ready to talk with a developer with these ideas.

I mentioned in the Thougts on Site, Features, Layouts and Sections - Round 2! Thread:
QuoteI was thinking of a list where you could populate certain game information.. and be able to check it off the list where it would strike it out... or you could delete it. I was thinking of making something though where it would be more of a repository where the game companies and systems are saved... maybe leading to a game repository of some sort - more to come on that.

There would be a list in everyone's profile - and also a searchable / viewable list from the main forum. In the profile will be a page where you are able to enter your "gaming backlog" in a list. Each list item will have a check box you can "check off" and save... this will strike the entry out like - The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask 3D - Nintendo 3DS. You could also delete entries if you don't want them. This would be the "Gaming Backlog Tracker" idea... it's to help gamers get on top of their gaming back log, organize it... and keep track. Maybe we could build in some kind of progress indicator for each game.

So in the database... I would have as Many of the companies / systems as possible to start with... but won't be able to have everything pre-defined at 1st.

There are 2 thoughts on this right now:
1.) I'm thinking of creating a game repository where we try to create an entire Video Game Repository for all the Video Games out there. This will be difficult and Time consuming... and maybe not in scope at this time. This is part 2 I've wanted to do. We could have member submissions for information... where we could accept pieces of the information to go into the repository. WE could then build from this point to have GAMEFAQs style pages.

2.) Just have the stand alone Game tracker for now. Not as sexy... but try to grow it later.

Personally I like option number #1... but I'm not sure this site is ready for it. IT's definitely not ready member wise as it will take many members contributing. I Would also like to build in rep system for those who helped and a way to credit members for contributing.

Listing a few of you here for comments:
@trkorecky @CreepinDeth @Kinikko @targetrasp @ThravRande @medataoh @Aya-Kun @retro junkie @mastermario @Grindspine
This questions goes for all members too... What do you all think about this idea?

At the end of the day... I'm committed to making this site awesome. Personally I think we are FAR ahead of where we were. I know I've said that a few times.

Please post up your thoughts and comments. This will probably be updated a little after I stop ADD-ing a bit... and can organize the thoughts better.

@mastermario I will try to download it by tonight... see how PUBG Mobile is lol.

Spent the afternoon playing Spyro the eternal night for the GB SP. Very good game.
@retro junkie I've always wondered how that Spyro games played... I think I tried one for the PSX a long time ago... but didn't do much with it.

I got through the Call of Duty WW2 Campaign. Very satisfying, but a little too easy on regular. Only one part took more than a try or two. I mist tons of mementos and heroic acts but I feel like they'd be easy to get on regular if someone was so inclined. I was rushing through because my son was trying to finish first.
@targetrasp - so is this game worth it to buy? I had serious reservations.... we should create a topic on this game and visit it.
* if you have it on PS4... maybe I'll try to buy that version and we can play multiplayer at some point. THOUGH we still need to hit up Diablo 3... the itch that needs to be scratched again.

Looks like I updated the wrong thread with the following:

For Me:
Lego Hobbit - PlayStation Vita. This game is organized a bit different... so I'm trying to get used to it. I see to have completed 3 sections / trials / whatever you want to call it of 1 level. I plan to write some kind of reviews on the Lego games as some point.
#2586
LOL... you bought it on the wrong day! It's whopper Wednesday.. not Tuesday ;D

Banana and Grapefruit. I cut the grape fruit like an orange... and eat the slices. It took a little bit to get used to due to grape fruits being a tad sour... however, I love them now this way. Super tasty.... no additional sugar.

Inspector gadget and transformers... I remember those quite well. But I also remember Fraggle Rock... Iiked watching that.

Fraggle Rock - imdb.com

Obviously GI Joe - and the GI Joe cartoon.

This was also the decade Lego was starting to make their larger and more intricate designs... leading up to what we have today. I had the Black Seas Barracuda.

Lego Ships - Wehavekids.com

Obviously this was the decade Super Mario Brothers hit the arcade. This was back when about every hotel had a game room with arcade machines. When we traveled... I would be there when the arcade opened... a few had the original Super Mario Bros arcade.

Good topic!

@Grindspine ... I think I'm going to give this a try.

The art work is really cool too... especially in the images you attached.

Another update has been released... primarily focusing on the map Miramar and also the blue zone. Original notes are listed here:
PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - PC 1.0 Update #10 - steamcommunity.com

Gameplay Notes:
Quote•Blue zone delay time has been reduced. You'll be given less time to linger between phases.

•The maximum movement speed of the blue zone has been reduced. The blue zone will move more slowly toward the end of the game.

•The damage inflicted by 7th, 8th, and 9th blue zones has been increased.

•Except for the first blue zone, the probability of creating an extreme safe zone (one far away from the center of the previous circle) has been reduced by 30%.

•The final blue zone will narrow down to the center instead of narrowing down to a random spot, and the total wait time including the blue zone inactive time has been reduced. (195 seconds to 90 seconds)

•As the end of the match approaches, the safe zone will increasingly favor areas with land over areas with water.

•On Erangel specifically, the first safe zone will now be revealed 30 seconds earlier.

•On Miramar specifically, players can now see the first safe zone while flying in the airplane. (We may or may not carry this over to the next live update. We want your feedback about this change.)

•In-game clothing spawns have been removed from all maps. Other item spawn balance remains the same.

Miramar World Notes:
Quote
•The Oasis can now be found in the north, and Alcantara village has been added to the northwest.

•We've added more roads, off-road paths, and car spawning positions to facilitate easy travel into and out of the area.

•Higher-tier loot is now more likely to spawn in specific areas of the north of Miramar.

•We've optimized the GPU performance of buildings seen from mid-range (all maps).

There were some other UI and Bug Fixes.

AND Last but not least... it appears steam user's want something else by the comments left on the community page:

This always the spoiler to automatically be hidden. I hope this helps! Good review!

This game is the first time I paid as much as $85 for a game. The cart, with the box and booklet sells for several times over that. When I saw this, I could not purchase it fast enough. Such a deal. Only 10,000 made and released. Another one of those great games that I love to play. It is my copy and I will never sell it.

@retro junkie AH... Bangai-o.... I bought that exact same game! Good stuff... and fun. I had to buy the converter as well.

@Mai Valentine That's a ridiculous download... I've had a few larger downloads. Some of them (such as Titanfall PC) had a ridiculous transfer rate. It's like they paid the ISP... or had a deal to open the pipe for the Titanfall download. At the time... I received 4 times the normal download speed. It was nice.

@Kinikko Also for example.... you have the seal and Turtle... those are perfect example. Did you make the templates? IF so... find an artsy coffee shop is perfect for that. Start a bit small... take some examples to those places... see if you get some feedback.

Have you checked into sites like Ravely or Etsy?
#2593
LOL... you hit the nail on the head with that last post. Organization can be hard... perfect post, you made. I Think we have a superb foundation right now for growing forward. We have some things to accomplish in the next few months...

BUT...

Honestly.... I see this forum as light years ahead of our previous forum. Partly because lessons were learned. Not to get all deep on this thread because.... this it the "what do you consider retro thread." ;D

Found skylanders super charger starter set for ps3 at Ross for 5bucks
Lucky! I would've bought that for $5 - We don't have a Ross around here.

@Aya-Kun seems like we need a Battlefield 1 topic... though I'm surprised there is still a fan base.

wow, I thought people not liking Star Wars was a myth...
man... there is some serious Star Wars hate out there. At times I felt bad for Lucas.... sometimes you just can't please everyone or anyone... if you're referring to Star Wars
#2597
@mastermario I was thinking that.... hm... that would be a crazy advantage LOL....

and launch you across the map? LOL! Ah.... that would be funny to see.
#2598
@mastermario So the shotgun mode sucks? That seems like it could be fun. I love me some Over Under action.

We should probably create a thread on that.
#2599
@Aya-Kun I figured controls would be aweful... but I've been hearing pretty good things. Now I need to download it.

@mastermario said it's really good... surprised I didn't hear anything from @SpartanEvolved on this yet.

SO... is there a single platform? IE I play on an Andriod... and can play games with someone on an iPhone? Or vice Versa?

Not falling for it. cardboard is for shipping
@targetrasp LOL .. there are some other pretty good uses for cardboard. As far as Gimmick king.... Nintendo scores pretty high... Sega used to score pretty high as well.

Meh, I'd like to find out who like greenlighted this project. xD Too gimmicky for my tastes.
Exactly... I'm scratching my head on this one. I get the concept of creative time and MAYBE trying to extend beyond games... somehow... but this might be pushing it... especially if it's a premium price. I mean... you're paying to wear cardboard.

Maybe I'm missing something?

@BLUEVOODU hmm they look like this

Copied from goggle, can't explain it in my own words other than there yummy

Prawn crackers, also known as prawn chips and shrimp puffs are deep fried crackers made from starch and prawn that serve as flavoring. They are a popular snack in parts of Southeast and East Asia. Prawn crackers are a common snack food throughout Southeast Asia, but most closely associated with Indonesia and Malaysia.
@Aya-Kun Nice! I think someone brought something into work like this. They weren't as big though. I think they are what @Kinikko was mentioning.

Now I want those...

#2602
Bummer on the strict diet - but hopefully for good reasons!

@Aya-Kun prawn crackers from the Chinese? What are those?

Turkey sandwich.... And carrots and other fresh veggies.

OK! Looking to make all 3 like the 1st one. Any other opinions?

Did it come out on any other console?

This game alone has brought me back to the Wii
From what I can see... it was release for the arcade and Nintendo Wii

In Kinikko's thread for Xbox One Exploration she mentioned the Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One.

I originally planned a topic for this awhile back... so here is the www.chickendinnergaming.com Master Chief Collection Xbox One thread.

How is this game now? I know for awhile it had many issues... many multiplayer issues as well. Are they all fixed? Is there a community still playing this game?

Thoughts? Comments? Post it up!
