I just saw "No Way Home" only last week. And my Daughter and I are trying to find time to watch "Multiverse of Madness" right now. Not sure when this will be watched. It will probably be streaming by the time we get around to it. 

I never gave it the time of day either. Where is it streaming?

I discovered this hack of Streets of Rage 2. Of course someone put it on a cart and put it up on AliExpress. I had to have it. It made me dig my original Sega Genesis out of the closet. I had been using a Hyperkin clone to play my Genny carts. But this would not play on a clone console. This thing has all original characters replaced, chibi, with great animation. It is Streets of Rage 2 all new again. Been playing this thing and having a ball.


I do not intend you to watch this all the way through. Just thought it would give you an idea of what I am talking about. And I do think that you can download this for other consoles from their shops, like for example Switch.

Sad to hear this. I know when my CRT gave out it was a sad day. Retro gaming has not been the same since. I really miss scan lines.

The prices for things like the Neo Geo Mini fluctuate up and down on Amazon according to supply and demand. When I purchased mine a few years ago it was going for $59. It shot up in price shortly after my purchase. I would like to have another one. I might keep my eyes on one.

I have started my July 4th weekend playing Viewpoint 2064 for the Nintendo 64. This is an unreleased game for the N64 that should have been released IMO. It looks like it would have been a release through Sammy. I would have loved a game like this on the N64 back then during its heyday. But I am thankful that someone acquired and released the Rom file. And that some little, or big, Chinese person took it and placed it on a cart and put it up for sale. Original hardware with the game on a cart is what I like. I paid $50 for this and I do not regret it.  I am sure this is not much more than a prototype, but wow it is highly playable and fun.
I am not quite sure if it is finished. It plays okay, no bugs that I can tell, yet. There was that moment during one stage that nothing was attacking for like a couple of minutes, which is when I wondered if the game was finished. And then there was objects falling down in my way in another stage, I went right through them with no hit detection. Enemies have an attack pattern that comes to be expected at certain points during the stages. Memorization is needed in games like this, old school. 



I have been trying out buttons to see what works. Found out that if I hold down my fire button I can lock onto multiple targets and fire a missile like in the SEGA After Burner game. And I do have this power shot that is connected to an energy bar at the bottom of the screen. It gradually builds up and then you can use it. Seems you can use it at any time, but the most powerful use is when the bar is full. Then there are those different type shot power ups that are typical in shooters.
This is a behind the view rails shooter. There are moments in some stages where you are treated to the ¾ view of the original SNK Viewpoint. This also has a Star Fox 64 type gameplay at times.
The action is frantic with mid level bosses and a main boss at the end. And it is, at times, challenging for me. The more I learn about my ship the easier it is to go up against the end stage boss, at least some of them it is. I am glad there is a life bar for my ship and power ups that help keep it up a little. Although they don't seem to be there when I want them. One boss has wiped me out every time. At the end of stage one you get to choose your route with up to fifteen stages. I have been in one, two, three, five, and nine.
There is a story intro at the beginning and bits dispersed in between each stage where you are getting instructions, and info, from a Mike Wazowski looking alien.
Graphics are typical Nintendo 64, no slowdown. Some of the stages seem sparse, but come to think of it not any more than the original. And this is not in any way a remake of the original game. But it is a good arcade type shump that is very satisfying: Definitely worth the price of admission.

It is difficult to put into words the "Disneytized" transformation of what becomes a Disney feel. One has to understand it from a perspective of, if you can understand when I say "Hallmark movie" feel. I grew up with Disney. There has always been that difference that has labeled their works. There is that smell and feel about everything they do that you know is Disney produced. I am not saying that it is kid orientated. They are mostly what we call "Family Friendly." But that is not an accurate description of the Disney feel either. And it is no denying that Disney has been a game changer.  It is the way they package things, I guess. I am not saying that they are all bad. The Avenger movies are good movies, not saying they are bad in any way. (The way they connected all the MCU movies reminds me of they way Marvel connected stories in the comics.) It is sort of like Shigeru Miyamoto creating how we perceive and know Nintendo to this day. You are going to get a different gaming experience on a Nintendo console than you are going to get on any other. (I am curious as to what Disney is going to do with Dead Pool. That could give you an idea as to what I am talking about.)
I am hoping that the Avenger movies have not been the climax of the MCU franchise. I am hoping they can keep on doing this with the same success in future works. I am hoping they can do the same thing with the Fantastic Four, Xmen, and the Inhumans. And I do realize that they will have to change things to appeal to the movie going fans and contain the story lines to fit into the way movies are limited in trying to tell a whole story within two or three hours. My comic book characters are in the 60's. That is where they live and come from.

I can't handle, or set through, a "Hallmark" movie. Just saying.

@CreepinDeth what I am implying is that Disney has taken the comic book characters and basically Disneytized them and made them their own. What was in the comics stays in the comics. If you come expecting the old heroes that you grew up with or were fond of, then you will be disappointed immediately, or, at some point. Some may be in costume and name only. Others may have a feel about them that resembles that old comic book character but underneath will have that Disney touch, or seal. I think that is the issue with the Star Wars stuff too. An issue to some, or it may be, something welcomed by some fans. I think that really puts into words why I am disappointed in some of the material being produced. I even had some issues with the Avenger movies but I was able to push it aside and enjoy them. My Daughter has yet to watch "Infinity War" and "End Game" for that reason. I think the people that have never read comics are the most fortunate. Maybe I shouldn't be so petty. But it is difficult to have loved a fictional character and feel that they have been mishandled and not what you wanted or expected. Bringing your character to the big screen is usually a one shot deal. It will either succeed or fail. At the end of the "Eternals" movie when that being was coming up out of the earth and froze. My expressed my thoughts out loud, Finally Jack Kirby stuff!!!

I meant no harm to the Pixar moives. The are awesome!

@BLUEVOODU toby's spiderman venom scenes,  , I could not watch that movie again. How he acted when venom took over, I don't know, I just could not handle it. 

I think this is what has happened to the Marvel comicbook franchise in the hands of Disney+ that I am finding a problem. I am not easily accepting the change and I am holding on to the past. It makes it difficult.

@BLUEVOODU i used the phone's camera and google translate to play Final Fantasy on my Wonderswan and compared it to the game on the Gameboy Advance FF. The Gameboy Advance game was missing some of the story. You just hold it over the dialogue and the phone translates. It worked for a N64 game I played one time too. 

My biggest issue with this series, and I think it is some of the problems with a lot of the Disney+ original content, is the influence of the Disney Channel/Nickelodeon teen shows, feels. There is that Disney smell that is somehow different from the Marvel movies. I can't quite put my finger on it. It might be who they are getting, the team, that are putting some of these series together and that might be the reason for the hit or miss. Or maybe it is my age getting in the way. This series is just not working for me. There is just something about the episodes that causes me to cringe. Something is broken. My Daughter didn't like it because it just wasn't the original character from the comics. I am thinking that you will either like it, or not like, this series. Or maybe an acquired taste.

The original character, from the comics, had the powers in herself and didn't get it from a bangle bracelet.

I had not been attracted to it. But I think I will check this out today.

These look to be computer games. I am not a computer gamer, but this looks good. I didn't know they had anything like this. They don't really advertise it very well. I haven't been a Prime member. If I consistently purchased from Amazon then I would see the need. I am more of an eBay person even though we do pick up some things from Amazon occasionally.

For some awkward reason this sort of sums up many of the Disney + series or works for me.

I purchased the Wily Wars from aliexpress for around $4. Of course it is a repro with nothing but the cart. No extras like the limited run package. I got it before limited run even announced the packaged deal. It is a Megaman game and if you like Megaman you will like this. I have been keeping my eye on limited run hoping for something that interest me. The big problem is I got to have money in my pocket at the same time. There has already been a couple of things slip past me due to that issue.
Retro Bit is another company putting together packages, Metal Storm is one I'd like to have. And R-Type package they put together.

@BLUEVOODU this is one of the few games that I do not have for my Neo Geo pocket. There is the first and the second releases. The UK version would be the one to get. The game is very rare to find. But the Japanese version is readily available. I can only wish. 
It might be one of those games in which I set with my phone in hand with a translator and play the Japanese version. I have done that before with the Wonderswan handheld and the Nintendo 64.

@CreepinDeth i agree it would have probably worked better as a Disney+ series.

@BLUEVOODU there are some parts of the plot that I cannot get into and it seems to spoil it to a certain extent for me.

They keep trying to use that one Jedi and Darth Vader as a threat to Obi wan. Knowing that Obi Wan is going to be there for Luke just doesn't help to create the suspense. 

It is one of those Marvel movies that I probably will never watch again. And that puts it in a basket. Unlike other movies that I tend to return to just to rewatch again like Black Widow.

I wasn't even considering watching the Obi Wan series, but after your comments I decided to give it a chance. The recap on the first episode basically set the stage for the series. I asked myself while watching that if I really wanted to see this story? And I am asking that from the perspective of not even considering what happened in between the two events from the two different movies. I have now watched both episodes and it is well done with a better quality production than other Star wars series Disney has churned out recently. I am hooked at this point even though I question some things and wince at some of the aspects of the Obi character they are portraying. Surely there is only one direction that they can go unless they are about to rewrite some of the Star Wars history.

@BLUEVOODU i am starting to see crackers again. But other things keep disappearing. Kosher dill spears are hard to find now. Prunes were gone for a few weeks. (Not that any of you might care about that, but I do. LOL)  There are other things where the shelves stay clean for a while. When they are restocked it is not full but maybe small amount. Going to the grocery is touch and go. My Wife gives me a list and it is like a scavenger hunt.  And, I too am starting to go more than once a week just to seek out items that I could not find on my initial run.

What happens when people can no longer get out due to not being able to afford gas? Store prices factor into this also. This past week, I watched a couple try to purchase $130 worth of groceries, but all they had left on their debit card was $29. They had to pull everything out of the bags and decide what they really needed.

@CreepinDeth i think it is my favorite D+ series too. And looking at your spoiler, I'm impressed that you were able to think that through and write it out so that it makes sense. I don't think that I would have tackled it. LOL

Excellent final episode of this season. I haven't enjoyed a Disney series like this since Loki. I am hoping for another season, but this stands alone as it is as being very satisfying. Big thumbs up!!

It seems like everyone in the hospital are people from the first three episodes. And this looks like Kang seated at the table, or am I imagining things.

I am hoping for a full moon in episode six. If you have been alert the moon has been changing with each episode. Also Kang from the Loki series was sitting in that white room in episode 4. What?! Moon Knight is at full power in a full moon.

Seen the forth episode. I think he is still in the tomb.

Got through with episode 3. Hmmm........... that was wild.

I don't have anything 64bit right now.
