Discord, Google+ and Switch Friend Codes

We will continue to facilitate the Discord and Battle.net Channels for gaming meetings.

I had a lot of trouble with Discord at 1st... For whatever reason, it wasn't reacting right when trying to join channels and start chat.

yeah... I remember that too.

I was pretty pumped for the Nintendo DS to come out.  Many were skeptical that the dual screens was a gimmick.  It turned out to be very handy.  So many good games too.

We should add in there somewhere... I think we beat ODST on  the Thanksgiving LAN night. lol

Do you like the PSN and XBOX ID's being in the profile?   Or would you like to see what it looks like on the posting page?  I really wish they had links to profiles for those services.  I guess I could still link to those services but then the person who clicks has to sign in.  HM... maybe I'll do that lol ...

ok - Xbox live, PSN, and Facebook are all added.  FB will be next to Steam icon due to direct link.   Xbox and PSN are both in the user's profile.  I Could put the text on the post page as well below icons, but didn't do that yet as I don't want to clutter that up.

The other thing I think I want to do - make it so that all of these profile links open in a new page... so you don't lose your spot in the forum.  This would be with Steam, FB...etc.... basically the direct link profile fields with images.  Thought?

I had a whopper (and my normal vegetables) for lunch... co-worker lost a bet lol.   I wasn't going to make him pay up but he was cool to buy my Whopper on Whopper Wednesday.

The Rights as in the rights for steam to have a "Sierra" made game or an EA made game in the steam store?

So steam has to pull it because the developer says to?

Yep, I just searched the store for Korra and it's not there. I have that one as well. I think all I've done is put 5 minutes on it, lol.

I can't believe Korra is gone... the game was alright - not super awesome.. but it was worth the price I paid on sale  Wonder what the problem was.


I think Space Quest was another one removed...  Again... this was created in the King's Quest style.   you controlled your character... then typed "open door" or "pick up object."  You had to figure out what to do.   I will check again to see if it was removed.

I'd like to pick up Hero's quest... again, done in the same style.

well hopefully we can get this coordinated lol...

Maybe I'll start a Necromancer or Crusader.  I haven't really done a Necro build yet.

I've had a few other experiences in VR where it worked better than a 360 controller, but outside of that I'm hard-pressed to find a reason to use a controller over a mouse and keyboard.

Not to derail the thread... but I can give you 1.... Spartan and I found a level in One of the Resident Evil games (the version slipping my mind).   There was 1 level I simply could not perform the actions necessary. It's the FPS one where you play soldier missions and other campaigns / story lines of individual  characters.  The Boss is chasing you up stairs... and you have to spiral around the stair case going up.  I got to a point I simply couldn't complete with a keyboard.

I'm VERY used to keyboard and mouse.

I have Elite Dangerous but not in VR... I mean I have Elite Dangerous VR, but don't have the gear to play VR.  I will try the controller with this game outside VR.  Hopefully will have similar results as you.

Looking to see what we can get started SQUAD wise.  I know Frodus mentioned he wanted to play.

This would be for chilled squads - not serious business - just have fun.

The anality (yes, made up word) of some people can ruin gaming fun.

Totally, I have a super try hard friend who's in the top 1% Solo/Duos First Person that doesn't understand that I usually just play for fun.

I most definitely still prefer the physical copy, but my cousin (who is physically disabled) prefers digital so he doesn't have to change disks.

You know... I never thought about that... that would be extraordinarily helpful in that situation.  Then they just have to worry about system storage lol... it's still not enough.  This comment brings a whole new perspective to the topic.

I think my Cobalt version is the same as yours on the left.  I agree with Target... the original GBA without backlight was pretty hard to see.   For example, the Neo Geo Pocket Color without backlight had pretty reflective crystals... the GBA did not - at least the one I had.

The Dimmer Game Boy Advance SP was still fun to play.  I had many nights of playing Advance Wars on that... as well as several Metroid games.

Once the DS game came out (with backward GBA compatibility)... I was using that all the time as my Game Boy Advance and DS player.

what is your preference?  These days - do you like having a physical copy ?  Do you like Digital Copies better and feel physical copies are a burden? 

It used to be the majority wanted the physical copy - Case, insert, CD, manual, cart...etc.  Since Steam as well as digital distribution has caught on (or pushed) more, have preferences changed?

Yeah - I see that... I really want the physical copy.  Digital copies are ok... I'm still a bit  oldschool that I like to have the disc and packaging.  Then again... the disc and packaging really doesn't make a lot of difference these days.   I still like it though.

My understanding is yes this is supposed to be the 1st one.... and it looks like potentially on the Dark Souls 3 Engine.  Not sure if that's been confirmed yet.

Yes.. those are the worst.

Though the worst pages are... when you don't click an ad, but the target area for the link on is almost the entire background.   And then you accidentally click the background and 3 ads cycle on screen.

I noticed the same, it went away quick, by the time I assumed what was going on they'd already vanished.

The designations for music these days are endless.  There are many I don't understand how music fits into them... let alone how to distinguish between then.
