Many years back.. as you posted, your post title changed.  More posts = better title.

Right now, I have not done much in the way with post titles.  Would you like to see post titles return like we used to have them?

I stumbled across Mighty Number 9 for the Wii U today for $9.99.  I had it in my hand... but some of the reviews were MEH at best.

What are your thoughts?  To buy or not to buy... that is the question.   I'm curious if it's worth $9.99.... or don't buy for the Wii U, but buy it on another platform?  Other platforms were not discounted as heavily.

If you recommend it... why?  Post it up!

More and more you see Gaming chairs in Youtube, Twitch (etc) Videos for product reviews, gaming speed runs and run throughs, Trophy walk-throughs, amongst other things.

It used to be the gaming chairs were over-hyped.  Some had speakers in the head rest... and others just were uncomfortable gimmicks.

Fast forwarding to today... Are the chairs any more comfortable?  Do you use and dig any chair in particular?    If so, post up what you use and what you like about it.

Good suggestion Thrav - in progress now and will be up soon.  Thank you for suggestion.

@Mastermario - Not too worried about it at this time lol.

ok  -  on 1st playtest, the game didn't look a TON different.  The colors were better, draw distance, and a few other things looked better.   I don't have a Playstation 4 Pro yet or a 4K TV.

This game is every bit as fun as it was on the PS3.   Here's an OK comparison:
Burnout Paradise Remastered Graphics Comparison - SegmentNext.com
Note: the site doesn't load the greatest though.

Also I like how the Verge puts it... "this game was ahead of it's time and Burnout Paradise Remastered shows how timeless it is:"
Burnout Paradise was ahead of its time - theverge.com

I will continue to update the thread as I play through the game.

Post up your thoughts!

well if I run out of games to buy I'll be sure to get Bomberman R
Lol. Yeah. Let me know if that ever happens.   EVER

Ah.. yeah... Elder Scrolls.  Someone here worked on that game if I'm remembering correctly :)

I never was overly fond of the Elder Scrolls games.  I believe it was Elder Scrolls 3 I received for free with a graphics card purchase many years ago.   I think it had all of 30 min of play.

lol!  He is a cave man... no joke.    His beard is forever long.  IT's a Mario character of some sort.  Not sure if it was an amiibo... or if just a regular character.

That is a pretty cool video - I think I've seen that one before.  Definitely a classic!

What Would've Happened IF:    The Super Nintendo CD game out... was launched / released.... the deal between Sony and Nintendo wouldn't have went belly up?

How would the industry have changed.... how would the gaming systems today be forever changed?  Even the progression since the PSX would be different.

For those that don't know, the Super Nintendo CD Add-on essentially became the PlayStation.

Post it up!

LOL!  That's awesome you still have that.  I remember getting that in... I almost kept it for myself.   For some reason, the Sega CD (in good condition) was hard to find.

That's what I mean by Sega was always a bit behind the curve.  Don't get me wrong.. there are a ton of Genesis games I dug... but they should've thought of something else other than an EXPENSIVE attachment.

well... if could be because of the touch screen.  That helps inventory immensely.   I guess I'm more cautious on how they would handle voice chat now... text chat just isn't as prevalent these days.

I think the game itself... if it ACTUALLY plays somewhat like the original and has the animations ... They may have a winning formula.  I'm pumped for this... if it is released state side.

Somehow, I doubt we'll see a PS4 release.

I Am very impressed with the little controllers.  I also love how you can play some of the multiplayer games where you only need 1 Joy Con to play.  For example... you can play Super Bomberman R on the Switch 4-8 players.  Each person only needs 1 of the Joy Con controllers to play.  Not 1 in each hand.

So you hold the controller parallel wise to you and can play with it as a full controller.  Now, it is a bit small... but works well!   This makes it easier for 4-8 player Multiplayer gaming action without having to buy FULL controllers.  In other words, you can buy 2 sets of Joy Cons (1 set = Left and Right controller).... and have enough controllers for a 4 player Super Bomberman R game.

So far, these controllers had pretty good battery life.  They have great range and reception... and are pretty comfortable and very responsive.  They can be a bit small for people with larger hands.  Button mashing can occur with larger hands / fingers.

We will see how they continue to perform over time.  I know the Wiimotes performed well at 1st but dropped off performance wise after a bit of use.  They became more shaky...  IE the cursor would jump everywhere.  Part of this was the sensor bar, I get that... but something physically would happen to the Wiimote.

Post up your thoughts and comments.

It's been a long time since I've broke out a joystick.  I used to play Jane's flight simulators, X-wing and Tie Fighter Flight Simulators (very cool games... wish they would re-explore this concept), descent, and many other games.  Now it seems like controllers have taken away from the joystick experience.  Games these days are more developed for a controller... but some still are made for the joystick.

If you still use a joystick, what peripheral do you use (provide links)?  What games do you still play with a joystick?

I know there are different opinions and facts out about this... but I found certain HDMI cables to NOT look at good and can cause issues.

Spartanevolved brought over this RocketFish (Best Buy) HDMI cable... and we were under the impression is should look as good as a Monster cable. My PS3 was hooked up to the TV and we played Mortal Kombat X I think it was - the latest Mortal Kombat to come out on the PS3 at the time.  Colors were not as good and the outlines of characters were not as crisp.

The only think I could think of was... the PS3 was scaling back what it was sending across the cable.  Perhaps a transmission rate thing?  I don't know...

Command and Conquer Generals... WITH NETCODE THAT WORKS.... that would be awesome.

We ended up playing a few rounds last night... Met on the Chickendinnergaming Discord:

MasterMario, Spartanevolved, ComradGC, and I played a few squads... but no chicken dinners.

Until next meeting - I will try to post up when we are playing to let members know.

Oh man.  (Need drooling emoticon) that's the best 3DS design in my opinion. I missed buying This 3DS... just waited too long and haven't found another in good condition. Good score, retro!

Mai - how does the trading system work?

I think the open style map is fun... it's almost like some of the desert missions in the old Delta Force games - basically shells of buildings and desert trash.   It makes me play a bit different than I would play on the other map.

Let's meet up at Chupacabra lol...

Exactly... I'm excited for tomorrow!  I took the day off with my son and will pick up Burnout Paradise Remastered - HOPEFULLY around 10am.

This is one of my most played PS3 games.  I had an issue with the trophies when they added them on the PS3 - some of them couldn't be achieved without having to delete the save file and restarting lol....  nope... not doing that.  So hopefully this will be a 100% achieved game this time around.

Motherbase... that was the Viewpoint - style game.  I liked Viewpoint on the Neo Geo... didn't have a change to play Motherbase.  Had one go through the shop, but at the time.... didn't have THE TIME to play it longer than testing the cart.

I liked Star Wars - it almost sold me back in the day... but like the Virtual Boy, the 32X wasn't given a chance.  It just didn't the market presence and staying power.  The other thing was SEGA.  SEGA as a company just didn't cut it.     They came up with LOADS of ground breaking stuff and helped shape the gaming industry... but they just couldn't seem to get their formula down.

With that said... Formulas help keep many businesses in business.  But you just don't see the creativity today and trying to break the mold.  This goes into music, cars, electronics, games... everyone doesn't want to push the envelope to something new and risk failure.

LOL... it has that affect.  It's taken me a little while to get used to it.  but there definitely is a void at top.

The emphasis was to get more visibility to gaming sections than General.  Not sure if that works with this or not.  I was thinking of putting a news and announcements at the top... Keep general at the bottom... then have suggestions / help etc... with Gaming having the most focus.  It seems more sites are putting General at the bottom - my guess is to traverse more traffic down the entire page AND start emphasizing game boards more.

I'll leave it like this for a week and see if we get used to it.  but again... there is a bit of a void a the top now.

Creepn got me into DF Retro a bit... thought this was pretty cool.

I never was a huge 32X fan... but Star Wars about got me to buy it back when it was released.  Best Buy (at that time) had a completely different configuration and store layout.  Star Wars was on Demo there.  This is when they had about 9-10 isles of CD's.  LOL... talk about a blast from the past.

Comments? Post them up.

Saw this today and had to repost.  Yeah.... you can definitely tell John Petrucci is well with this one.  It's pretty cool!

Notice the pick ... at about 1:16 to 1:17 lol...

Saw this on Youtube today.  I liked the original.... While it wasn't as in depth as Harry Potter, it was a cool side story - if you want to call it that.  I'm definitely down to see Fantastic Beasts 2.

Thoughts?  Post it up

The 360 and DS TMNT games aren't worth it then?

So... the Spring Oreos....  with the Yellow filling... They taste exactly like normal Oreos which means they are delicious.

Crushed a good number of them.,
