I still have a 27".  My other 27" died... so I Am no longer running 2 x 27" monitors at 1920x1200.

This is a 10 year old monitor and it's going well. I'm looking to MAYBE size down on the next monitor.  I Find the 27" real-estate to be a little too large for gaming - at times.  Especially games like CSGO or PUBG.  IE I have good peripheral vision... but I will miss minor movements and some things on the sides.  I don't know if I'm tunnel visioned or what when playing those games.   They are great for working though!

1280x1024 is pretty old school lol.   I thought the 970 handled a lot more than that.  I'm probably wrong.  I get the using what you got thing though.  I've been doing that...  because I've built so many computers in a short time frame... I thought it was time to get more life out of everything.

I take it you tried  Red Alarm and Mario Tennis?  I also have the Japanese copy of V-Tetris... that game was ok.  I Think I need to play it again to see if it holds up to my memory.

hm... I've been getting them every time.  The amazon ads load independently... so maybe it has something to do with that.  Please let me know if the issue continues tonight (through tomorrow at some point).  I will change the ad to load with the page instead of independently.

It might be cool to start with 2 new characters and do a fresh run.  It can be chill and we go wherever and do whatever quests we want.

Legend of Korra?  Really?  I have that game lol.   I have not put my 5 minutes into it yet (Bluevoodu's 5 Min into each Steam Game thread).... but It had pretty good reviews - Especially at the time I bought it.

There's still a lot of quests I haven't done... and I still need to beat the expansion - Reaper of Souls.

I found a couple - I have an older Kings quest version that appears to have been removed from Steam.  It was a game made by Sierra.  Back then, you had to type commands:
"pick up crown"

you would move around with your 4 directional keys.   They were still really fun though and challenging.

They haven't added it back and I haven't been able to find a reason they removed it.

yeah...  Bandwidth really hasn't caught up for a lot of people unless you pay ridiculous fees.  I'm not willing to pay a lot, but our service just doubled our bandwidth for free.  It makes it a lot easier to keep all my games installed!

I seriously have EVERY GAME on my list installed (not including Betas and any doubles that were included because of GOTY designations).  When I start steam... it's not uncommon to see 8+ updates.  If I wait a week, 17-30+.

$50 is pretty steep and this has been on my wish list.   If this game goes 80% off... I will be 2nd in line.  Target can be 1st in line.

There were a few good games at least. Mega Man X4 was pretty good.    Tempest 2000 was alright, but the favor rests with the Atari Jaguar version.  That was the best version.

Yeah... I don't know... it was certainly weird though!    It happened more than once.

But I did have some good times with the Virtual Boy.     I really did like Red Alarm and Mario Tennis on the system... they were a lot of fun to play.  They were also pretty intuitive gameplay and controller wise.

It did not, fortunately. It was fairly clean when I got it. No muck or anything. I still wiped it down with a clorox wipe as I do with any used things I receive though. 

LOL... speaking of the plague arriving on stuff... I once had a trade-in I immediately sent back.   It looked like someone chewed up graham crack (mushy with spit), rubbed it all over their hands,  and played with their controller and console .... and other stuff in the box.   

At least... I want to visualize graham cracker because I don't want to think what else it could be.

What was the server case you bought?

SpartanEvolved and MasterMario have pretty cool cases.  I helped MM pick out his.   Spartan's is larger (I think Corsair Carbide) and the drive bays are very intuitive.

That's cool - small cases are nice...I've been tempted to build a LAN box at times.   I've never done it... ended up buying a gaming laptop around the time I was thinking about it.   They are very tempting to build though and are slick with the correct Power Supply and Graphics card.

I really want to build a new machine with the Intel i5-8400 chip. However, my system that turned 7 years old last month is still doing decent.

you're beating me right now.   Mine is 3-4 and still maxing everything at 1080P.  I haven't gone higher resolution with the monitor yet.

Out of the box mine did... I Think it was when I attached the controllers and upon Console Start up when Shutdown (I might be remembering that one incorrectly). 

It doesn't seem like my switch makes that noise anymore.     Does your switch?  Or was It removed in an update?

I'm a pretty huge Doom and Doom2 fan.  Some of the games have been a bit rough.  I bought the newest Doom on PC a couple years back... and it was alright.  I'm looking to pick this game up at some point... on the go Doom would be awesome!     

Assuming this is a port as well... but it has up to 12 players.   Maybe I can talk some of the guys at work to buy and we can Doom it up at lunch.

Can't totally blame publishers for the prices. Cartridge prices are significantly higher than blu-rays. However, digital only games should be priced accordingly.

Yeah... They will never price those accordingly.   They make too much money.  It would be nice if they split the savings with the end consumer - go half! 

I want Zelda for this... just haven't purchased yet.  Probably will wait a bit longer.  It looks so pretty lol.

The SNES Classic is a cool concept.   It's cool when they revisit the classics and breathe new life into them.  Hopefully we see more of it.

LOL... shots fired?

I like going in and building stuff - buildings, working devices with pistons (Etc), castles... villages, and more.    We have a couple worlds where we have built a lot of cool stuff.   In a way, it's like playing with Legos and coming up with your own creations.

... we have Minecraft on about every device lol...  There's even a funny chicken world I created on my phone.  Interestingly enough, they came out with a chicken Lego Minecraft set!   I have a giant chicken I created and spawned in tons of baby and adult chickens around it lol... they stole my idea with this lego set1 Check it:
