I think you're right... I mean, it takes a long time to load via disk and most systems download games to the hard drive.  However, many user's Internet connections are not at the speed they need to make digital distribution 100% viable either.  I mean it is, but you wait forever for some updates... depending on the connection you have.  If multiple games have updates... that can take awhile as well before the game you want is playable.

LOL... how did they fit 3 discs into it?!

Ocarina of Time was well done for the 3DS system... at some point, I'll create a topic on it.  Majoras Mask as well... 2 games well worth it.

That does sound very good... Think  I'm just going to have a Turkey Sammich for lunch

YEs - That was the best part - It the videos showed the pace of the game was just right.   Hopefully that is the case when I get it hands on and start playing through Raiden V.

Games can very easily be ruined with the wrong pace.

I know they incorporated some of this into the Hobbit movies... but I agree They should bring many of the events surrounding the big battles into movie form.   I'd personally like to see this happen.  There are a lot of stories they could focus on... and a lot of familiar characters they could use.

lol... Buzzkill.

Now the buyers remorse is setting in... Can't return it.  It's already on its way!

Oh well... I will play it this weekend and post up a small review.  This one should be a lot of fun :D It's really been awhile.  I should break it out on the Atari Jaguar as well ... well... Turbo Grafx 16 had the best version of the classics if I am remembering right.

Dress for the job you want, not the job you have

LOL... truth!

Everything else aside... he certainly didn't look happy to be dressed like Superman.  Superman Smiles   :D

I really cannot sell you on the system.  I ended up not buying into it either.

BUT... Cup Head looks interesting.  IF I am correct... I saw that on Steam as well.

lol. 3 and 2 consoles respectively.   Nice!

Ah man... so that means you pay double PSN?  Ouch.  I haven't gone that far yet - I just make the kids play on sub accounts.  Though that sucks because when upgrading the hard drive recently... they lose all trophies.

I loved Playing Raiden in the Arcade... some of the Console ports didn't cut it though.  Others were really good (more so on future consoles Gamecube and later).

Has anyone played this yet?  I ended up buying it from Amazon on sale - because.   Yes... because :D  I broke my no buying rule... but I needed this game lol.

It looks like a very good game based on user reviews and site reviews.  It appears to play well...etc.

Post it up!

Yeah - If you have it on the SNES... I can see why you would skip over it.

This game peaked my interest ... I remember playing it on the SNES and it was fun.  I didn't read into it a lot in case I buy it... and how true to the original it is.  The wording is "faithfully remastered..." so I assume it is pretty darn close :)

I noticed Raiden V Directors Cut w/ Sound track - Playstation 4 is $25.85 on amazon:

Raiden V - PLaystation 4 on Amazon.com

Just a heads up before the price changes :D

Thank you for the heads up on this Movie... I haven't seen it yet, BUT I plan on going maybe 2 weekends from now.    I've been wondering how good the movie is / would be.  Was a little hesitant to go due to the Hype.

Going to see it now :D

Just a heads up... I'm working on Amazon.com affiliates right now.   This isn't a CPC program... but if you purchase things from amazon, it will help this site if you follow the links from here and then purchase.   IT's not a lot, but it'll help and go towards hosting if you are able to do that.

Right now... I have one of the ads on the bottom.  It appears to be rotating out with the bottom of page Playasia Ad.  I'm working on a couple more ads.. probably right side tower ad or something.

Again... I'm not asking for any additional purchases.  Only asking for you to think about going through from this site for amazon purchases

Bumping this up.  If you know old EGA members, go ahead and invite them.  If you have friends, family, or others you think would enjoy the board... invite them here to help get more conversations going.  The more the merrier.

Lol... yeah... honestly, I'm surprised more older phones or styles aren't used.   Well... outside the "certain bands no longer work."   New phones used to be cool in a way... now they are all pretty boring and stale.  Yeah.. I get it... they are more powerful and can do a lot more.    But ... I miss the design element that used to be there.

And they certainly missed the mark by not making it Spring loaded!

I thought this was interesting.  The article is titled "Nokia 8110 Reloaded is HMD's latest retro feature phone."

Lol... it's kind of a cool thing, might attract some buyers but are they onto something here?

Cell phones - while more powerful... have lost the element of design.  Many things have ( not just cell phones).  Everything is just a slab, glass, and pretty boring rounded designs.   Many years back, companies were trying all sorts of new designs. But now they found their cookie cutter money making designs and don't stray far from them.

Wtf it's stupid, why be able to look up stuff at all if it don't work right.  I'm pretty sure my profile isn't set to like private or anything too.
we will put that one on the back burner for awhile too.

Spartan would know better, but I wonder if it's possible to link to a Discord page or something. Discord is more and more popular each day.

I'll text him to see... .that's a good idea.

So far... Facebook... maybe discord.   Do you know if you can get to an Xbox LIve page easily?  IE something you can put in your profile.  I guess what we can do is if this doesn't pan out, we can just put a text box and let the member put a User name and what not and leave it at that.

I know.  That's a ridiculously good deal.  Good score!

Did it have a case of the plague on it and you had to kill off the extremophiles?
#2902
Yeah.  I hope to break that out soon.  I love GENERAL CHAOS!

Un Squadron Snes still and Lego Lord of the Rings Vita. Working on 100%-ing that game.

Yeah, a lot of these games don't hold up well but they were technological marvels at the time. That's what makes this series so fascinating. My favorite is the episode.
Exactly.  And they're still fun to go back and play.

I'm a little surprised they haven't come back and revisited or at least remastered Panzer Dragoon.    Or maybe they did and I missed it.

It was very cool seeing Star Fox again.  I haven't played that game in forever... but the Snes version was always a master piece in my Mind.

MM. you should use that Bluetooth controller lol.

Candy crush is stupid addictive at times.  But it's also annoying now because you have to bypass 10 pages of events an ads to finally get to the puzzle.    If you beat this level in 1 try you get a helmet with the uber bomb.  I then get a crazy horse popping up telling me how he needs the stars I collected and if I don't pay to continue, how sad the horse is going to be if he doesn't get the stars lol

I actually have minecraft on my iPhone.    I made a chicken level. More to come on that later.

They were Duracell - and I completely forgot about the clear Neo Geo Pocket Color.  There were a few different colors.  I ended up receiving several versions of  the NGPC when I received the games.

LOL... yes... you've really had it that long!    I was thinking the same thing... I used to play this at an office I worked at A LONG time ago.  BioMotorUnitron.

I watched part of this.... Pretty cool video / episode.

LOL... homage to Space Harrier... I really dug that game a lot.  It's amazing to see Panzer Dragoon today... I haven't seen or played it in forever.  Didn't really age as well... but still looks fun.  Wish I could play that again.

Great homage to SNES Starfox - I loved playing that game on the Super Nintendo back in the day.

Thanks for posting this... I watched parts of a few others.  Pretty cool series.

I still have mine. Picked it up on ebay with the AC adapter. There's no way in hell I was going to be changing batteries out of that thing. Mostly to play in bed anyways.
LOL... why not?  IT only eats 6 batteries an hour :D  /sarcasm.

Great post, Retro - I love my old GBA SP.    Goldensun, Lord of the Rings, Metroid Zero Mission, Metroid Fusion, many more.... and my personal favorite - Advance Wars.   I gamed a lot on this.   Such an impressive device with battery as well.  Why?  I broke this system out.. it hasn't been charged in a minimum of 6-7 years.   I was still able to play it.

What do you mean bright screen? You mean backlit?

Gunstar heroes... I never tried this game.  I would like to try it.

Alien Hominid - ah man.... completely forgot about this game!   I Think I bought the Gamecube version, but I would need to verify to be sure.
