Topic is still rolling - feel free to post up.

I enabled (probably will disabled) last 10 posts on the bottom of the board in the Info Center.  It sort-of clutters everything a bit.  The whole last 10 post section is not there when disabled - the rest of the info center is though.

There is a link below that by stats to see the new posts at the forum.

Do you like the last 10 posts listed?  Or is the link at the bottom for all new posts good as it is?

Yes - There is an option in your profile --> Look and Layout.

I can set this by default... but In the past, not everyone wanted it.   I personally don't really care either way - if it's on, turn off... or vice versa.  But you can change that in your profile!

Kicking this board off!    Do you play games on your iPhone?  Samsung Galaxy?   or What phone / device do you favor?

This is under Console and Handheld gaming.  Please check it out ... tell me your thoughts on the new section.  I purposely left it "wider open" to adjust to the future a bit better.

Looking for organizational thoughts for our sections.  So we have the Retro section below Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony.     I edited those sections to clarify a few things.  However, I ran into a personal conundrum... IT's hard for me to consider PS3 / Xbox 360 / Wii era systems Retro at this time... However, do they fit the definition?

Part of the text I put in the board description for Xbox, Sony, and Nintendo follows:
Older system topics should be created in the Retro Gaming Board.

So what do you think?  This will determine all future organization of this section.  Obviously this will mold in the future... IE as other systems drop off "current" status... we will probably move those topics into Retro.  Or is that even a good idea...?   Sometimes these small details trip me up.

I appreciate the feedback and input.

Check this out... and ZOMG... I cannot wait.  I Will be buying it for the PS4... 1st day.  Don't care... breaking my no game buying until more backlog is cleared out rule.  This rule has been in place since 2016... and has largely been upheld sans a few releases and unavoidable steam sales lol

Who else is excited for this? 

I put this in the Xbox One Board... It needed a little more love. As title states... it covers both releases.

Gaming Deals could have sub categories for PC and Console? Might help the section stay neat and help people know whether the deal is for them or not.

HM... good idea - let me think on that one... what do you think of creating a new category called "The Gaming Market"... and move the gaming deals, pcdeals... and maybe creating a buy, sell, and trade boards on our boards.  The buy/sell/trade portion are thoughts at this time... not sure I want to invite that here yet or not.  There's some ugly stuff that can come from it.  There's a pretty cool upside to it as well.  Thoughts?

I have noticed this as well.  If you wait 60 seconds... does it change?   I'm wondering if that's a caching thing. 

I also noticed If I post somewhere... the blue icon is there as a new post.. even though I posted.   If I read it .. it goes away.

Maybe we can get Medataoh and Kinikko to join up.  If I can make it this Sunday evening... would that work for you as well?

Maybe we should try for Diablo 3 and / or Pubg 1st.

I might be available Sunday evening EST (9pmish) this coming Sunday and play for 2 hours.  My schedule has been ridiculous because of work.  Hopefully when that chills out, I will be able to have a better schedule for gaming.

Outside the obvious - we need more activity and members, what are your thoughts?  Likes/dislikes? 

Is everything performing well so far?  Ie fast, responsive ... etc?

I will continue to make topics like this every once in awhile until the board is fully running.   I'm also testing the announce feature with the post.

The posts and topics will become more as we gain more members and more older members return. If you see something at other places you would like here (categories, topics, boards)... post it up as a suggestion.  Don't see topics you want?  Create them and help bring more conversations to the board.  We definitely could use help in this area... and replying to topics.

Bottom line, I'm open to all suggestions on the forums.  This is a fun "project" and I hope it is fun for you all as well.

Has anyone tried DariusBurst Chronicle Saviours on PC  Steam? 

This game has peaked my interest... I love a good shmup!     If you have tried it... How good is it?   It currently has a pretty hefty price tag at $50 on steam... I probably will wait for a sale at this point.  Definitely interested in the game though.

Gears of War 3 was awesome... the work crew played this game together.   Horde mode was awesome... I played this all the time with my buddy in Chicago and his cousins. 

The only problem I had with it.. which was an Xbox live issue in itself... were the players that would send voice messages because they couldn't take being destroyed OR would tell you to quit after destroying lol.

So many good memories with Gears of War 3.

The streaming was from the PS4 with camera... but then you would just watch with the Vita on Playstation Live?

LOL @ hospital hallway.      Yeah... I have a Noctua NH-D14... I didn't realize how massive it was.   I really haven't had a reason to go to liquid cooled either.  I do a little overclocking but not a ton.  With fan based cooling... I've had 0 heat issues.   I also use a nice power supply... noticed this reduced a lot of heat keeping the PSU load down and platinum rated.  A lot less energy wasted coming off as heat.

Noctua is definitely cool...  They make a great product.

I'm still on my "not building another PC kick" ... until I've used the life of my current pc a bit more.  Trying to get 1-2 years more life from it until Rebuild.  I was building PC's at least once per year until the last build.

That is very true... and there's nothing worse than having a bad motherboard and having to prove it.  It may be easier and more fun to have your fingernails pulled out with pliers ... than to troubleshoot and prove you have a bad motherboard.

Asus Rampage 3... don't even want to go into that story lol

Very interesting people have accomplished this... especially the Lithium Ion batteries.

There is one series that makes me want to buy an Xbox one / system outside of Halo.  Gears of War.  I love this series.


I started looking into buying it for Windows 10.  The issue I had with it is you still had to have an Xbox Live membership to play online. 

Who else digs the Gears of Wars games?

I pulled the batteries out of my Nintendo Virtual Boy today... thankfully they didn't corrode.  I couldn't believe when I checked the date on the batteries... 2003.  So they had to have been mid 90's  batteries. LOL... they were the old Duracell batteries that had the battery tester on them.  You would hold both ends of the tester and it would tell you how much battery life was left.  I think they brought the idea back later to Duracell.  But I haven't see it as of late.

I think I remember you telling me this a long time ago. lol... That struck a memory.   That's a pretty good idea for long drives.   On CD eh... I should look into that for certain trips.

It was pretty cool when the Hobbit movies explored Dol Guldur briefly when Galadriel and Elrond returned to kick Sauron's butt out.

I think I'm going to purchase the <a href="http://www.tolkienlibrary.com/booksbytolkien/silmarillion/description.htm> The Silmarillion at the tolkienlibrary.com</a>.   They have a pretty cool hard bound book.. from many years ago.   Looking into that one.

I bought a nice hard bound book of the Hobbit - The Hobbit on Amazon.   This is the actual book... bought it for a great price about 6-7 years ago...   I guess it was made / published in 1987 if I am correct.   Definitely a very cool book.   

It's been a good 8-10 years since I've played it... This time has been a blur.  Adulting sure has taken over a gaming during this time    Thankfully the batteries didn't corrode!   

What was the 1st game I played?  Pac Man LOL      I am now loading up Biomotor Unitron... and there I still have a couple backlog games on this system.  Say WUT?!   The plan is to beat Faselei - I have the English version from a stash I found when I had the gaming business.    I also need to beat Samurai Shodown 2 on the NGPC.

I don't feel like I've missed anything by sticking with ps4 this console cycle, especially since sony's online service seems to have finally caught up to Microsoft's. Console specific games don't seem to be as commonplace as in generations past so its hard to make an argument for having to own both consoles. The controllers even feel very similar.

yeah... I understand that.. I've missed a lot over the last 4 years.  I've learned just to clear out backlog. maybe I'll make it to some of the games later on in the future.  I'm still clearing Game Boy Advance, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Gamecube and other backlog. lol.

I have an Xbox One, I just don't think I've played it more than like twice since I got it.  Adulting and gaming at the same time is hard.    I've moved once a year for the past 3 years so everything is still in like a bad spot for me. 

Moving that much really does suck!  LOL... adulting... it really does take a bite out of life.  You will hear me at work say "I don't want to adult anymore."   At time... "I'm not adulting anymore." 

That's the same problem I had with my Xbox 360... I just didn't play it that much.  I had it mostly for when friends came over and we would play Halo.

I ALMOST bought the Xbox One for the Halo Anniversary collection... Then I heard how many problems there were.   SOOOO tempted to buy that one.

Those are very good points.    I think I was most shocked at $20 being the cost of fast food for 2 these days.   Weird to read that... but true.

It would be cool if they added an achievement system at some point...

I agree though... $20 isn't too bad for the service.  Do you have a link as to what will be "accessible" in the Virtual library?
