For me, the Humble monthly has so far satisfied my steam collection. It already got me Metro: Exodus, Shenmue III, Control and a bunch of other games for about $1 each.

As for any steals, I would just recommend looking at the "Under $5" list. Most of the latest games are still $20 or more.

I really like what I watched so far. I've stopped trying to figure out what's going to happen and just let it ride.

It flows pretty good. Not really any slow/boring parts in my opinion.

@BLUEVOODU - It's on Netflix, unless you don't have that.

Turns out that Disney/Marvel have deemed Agent Carter not canon. I don't understand why but I guess maybe they're trying to distance themselves from non-Disney+ shows that are actually canon.

@BLUEVOODU - I don't know much about CentOS and don't know Rocky Linux at all. I decided on Zorin because it seems to have the closest experience to a windows desktop (even moreso than linux mint) and is based on debian/ubuntu without actually using ubuntu.

I was thinking that I might create tutorial videos for people who want to convert over from windows. That's another reason I went with a debian based distro since the apps are easily installed through the app "stores". It's also gaming friendly.

I'll probably look at Red Hat distros as I get more experience, but for now, I'm treating this as a project from someone who just wants an OS that is stable and works "out of the box" so to speak compared to windows.

I'm about to take the plunge again. I'm going to force myself to use Linux as my daily OS along with linux native apps. I'm going to stay with Zorin and eventually move on to Arch Linux as the end goal. I'd also build a PC around it.

I'll have a Windows PC if there is ever that off chance something does not exist on Linux but not before I try every avenue. I think it's going to be fun.  ;D

I thought it was pretty good but low ratings caused them to shut it down after two seasons so the storylines didn't get a chance to properly breathe.

It's more canon than Agents of Shield so it's worth watching if you're an MCU completionist.
#308
They reversed this and are not shutting the stores down any time soon. Which is good because...

...this revealed a flaw in the PS3. When the stores do inevitably go away, if your PS3 CMOS battery dies (and it will), then you can no longer play your games, even physical copies. On PS4, only digital games are affected.

The trophy system is dependent on these servers, so if they go away, then your console becomes a paperweight. Huge oversight on Sony's part.

Episode 4 is so good!!  ;D

I love that the stakes have so much more weight now. One of the best endings in the MCU so far.

Thoroughly enjoying with the exception that some of the dialogue feels forced. Otherwise, it feels like mini Marvel movies.

Do they still pay for themselves quickly?  I thought you pretty much had to use ASIC rigs to make it worthwhile  these days.

The most popular crypto (ie. the ones worth the most) are not ASIC, sadly. Giant crypto farms have no problem buying tons of these at those prices. However, the chip shortage doesn't help either.

Hard to believe the card is worth something this far in the game.

They usually pay for themselves fairly quickly for miners. Even at the $2-3K range. So it's very worth it to those people.
#313
I'm definitely picking this up. They did a great job on Streets of Rage 4, so I'm confident this will be just as good.

Couldn't they have just used the same singer from the original series?

I'm a Mike Patton/Faith No More fan, so I actually like the song. I can see why others wouldn't though.

So none of the the things I thought were going to happen, happened. But it's cool as it was really fun to try and guess the outcome.

The finale was really good and left things quite open for the future. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany knocked out of the park in this series.

I'm really hoping they add to it. But I thinj Wandavision is done.  It said series finale... then ending was pretty crazy.

Yeah, it wasn't ever going to be ongoing, unfortunately. I am very excited for what's coming up next though. Falcon and Winter Soldier in less than 2 weeks!

I wish I would've picked one of these up... It looks like the value has jumped and it's harder to get them now.

Holy crap. I just looked and you're right. They're almost 2x the cost now on ebay. Mine is still sealed with the other minis.

It's frustrating... but I simply won't buy and will wait.

Same. Doesn't help that you can really only get it online and these stores don't have protections from bots. They don't care anyways as long as they sell.

Are they copying Nintendo's strategy of lowering supply to increase demand?

Doubt it since scalpers are already doing that for them. Supply chain is low and getting materials is becoming difficult for every industry that needs silicon chips.

@CreepinDeth - how did you come up with what's in your spoiler tag?  I just caught up on all the episodes as of Friday.

minor comic spoilers...

Spoiler: ShowHide
Agatha has a connection with FF and Wanda in the comics. Keeping the comic info low since I don't want to completely spoil everything in the case it doesn't happens. Although, if it does happen, I expect it to be not in your face with the way the story is unfolding. It's completely Wanda's story and it should stay that way.

Just one more episode left!!

I started watching again from the beginning and the first two episodes hit differently this time around now that things are more fleshed out.

Although, now I don't think it's introducing what I thought it was going to. Now it looks like it could be...

The Fantastic Four

I have jumped to so many different conclusions with every episode. My perspective has been all over the map. The last episode was like, "boom." You're right it is so much fun to watch.

These past two episodes really made me reconsider what I thought was going to happen. The writers of this series is doing a magnificent job, in my opinion.

Happy Birthday, Retro!

This last episode just dropped a giant hint as to what will be the catalyst for the next set of phases, like the infinity stones prior.

All of the subtle hints throughout every episode makes this a fun watch.

@CreepinDeth --- Tomb Raider is defiantly a series I want to give another look to. I've played them all but never finished one...

They're pretty good. Can drag a bit if you're trying to get 100% on every level but it's a good romp and the first two are super cheap nowadays if you wait for a sale.
#323
Went through Tomb Raider remake and just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider, next up is Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

After that, I'm starting a Resident Evil run so that when I'm done, RE 8 should be out.
#324
The Falcon and Winter Soldier show airs a little after this, so there will be plenty of content on Disney+. Then there's the Loki show, which I think is at the end of this year.

Sony cannot price themselves out of the market. I think with the PS5, hopefully, they might realize this. There is a limit gamers will spend before you become a niche market with your product.

I don't think price is a problem to them considering many are paying tons of money to scalpers just to have the console. They keep selling out because of that and to Sony, a sale is a sale.
#326
Been watching it and it's superb. It started out slow but has gotten much better. Can't wait to see how it all connects to the next phase.

Which is rumored to have...

Spoiler: ShowHide
The X-Men. Although, with Evan Peters showing up, it kind of makes it obvious.

I'm really happy to have some proper MCU content back.
#327
I doubt it will be. It might be Sony's last physical media console but with internet still being crap around the country, I don't see the cloud being their main method of distribution.
#328
Received an Xbox One S and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I really like the fact that a ton of 360 games are backwards compatible. It's not the newest console but the fact that I can play Red Dead Redemption again is awesome. Also, got the Master Chief collection and Halo 5 with it.

Might sign up for the Ultimate Game Pass. It's very tempting.
#329
Mandalorian is definitely worth checking out. It's just a fun show. Even though Baby Yoda is all over the place outside of the show, in the actual show he doesn't have a ton of screen time.

Jon Favreau not only kick-started the Marvel Universe but has now revived the Star Wars universe.

@CreepinDeth on the PS4 there is an option to backup.  You need to have the right sized Hard Drive to do it... but I've used it to move to newer / larger hard drives.  Is that what you are referring to?

Not necessarily. That's more for transferring purposes. You can't backup and reinstall games individually. You're forced to restore everything with this type of backup. Not really ideal.
