LOL... no kidding... this really shouldn't be hard at this point in time.

I will keep researching to see if I can come up with something consistent.  If not, Skype and Bnet will be put on hold for a short time... I MIGHT be able just to enable a BNET field with User profile and #.. as opposed to a link to a User Profile.

LOL... I wasn't expecting that one.   I have a pretty good PBR story -   another topic, another time.

This started today because I accidentally stumbled across Galadriel "herself threw down the walls" (of Dol Guldur).    This lead me then to the LOTR Wiki page:

I must say... the rabbit holes of Lord of the Rings (essentially the whole Tolkien Universe) are pretty crazy.  You can get lost in this stuff for awhile.

I never really understood Dol Gudur during any of the movies.   I guess this must be a "you need to re-read the books along with all the side stories."

Although... I would personally say you made out pretty well with the Neo Geo Pocket Color.  That was a pretty cool handheld.  Crap... just remembered... I need to make sure all the batteries are out of that console as well.  My luck... they already corroded.  There will be a Neo Geo Pocket Color topic... yes.... there will be.

Back to the topic at hand... I also have Tempest 2000 and Megaman X4 on the Sega Saturn.  Both pretty good games.  Though, I do like the Atari Jaguar version of Tempest 2000 better.

Personally... I favor ASUS motherboards.   Even though I had problems with one in particular.  I'm sure I'll post that story somewhere around here at some point.  Super Frustrating.

MSI has pretty good mother boards as well.

What brand of mother board to you tend to favor?   Why do you favor those brands?

This will probably change over time as features change and companies progress.

I killed the profile... but already getting a spam bot.  I researched it... the didn't log in but they registered and activated.   158 Reports against that user profile...  wordpress, invision, and many other styles of systems.  So it's not just Simplemachines.

Another thought on these... if you liked something from EGA - or had some topics from EGA you'd like to start here... that's ok.  I'm just saying this is not a new EGA.  This a different idea and direction.

Please keep coming with the thoughts on boards / layouts / sections you would like to see.

That's a pretty good strategy... I tend to try to stick to the edges of the circle and come in as it closes... but sometimes, that absolutely screws you over.  At other times... it works well and lets you get the jump on somebody.

I heard this a little while back... Nintendo's Online Service will start charging.  here is the link for Nintendo Switch Online Server

It was only a matter of time until Nintendo followed suit with Playstation Network and Xbox Live.   

While they're only charging $20 per year... which is relatively fair... there are no trophies / achievements listed on the site.

I completed Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 on the Playstation Vita.   Now... this may not seem like a lot... but it took awhile and it's my first 100% for any game on the Playstation Network.  I finally earned a PlayStation Network Platinum Trophy.



I recommend this game to any fans of the "Lego Games..." and Harry potter Fans.   If you are both... then double bonus for you.

I still have one with about 8 games.   I have Knights into Dreams with the 3D controller... and Crusader No Remorse (one of my favorite PC games from a long time ago). I decided to give that game a go on the Saturn... and it was a pretty good port.   PC was definitely better... but the Sega Saturn did a decent job of getting it done.


I've actually been thinking of selling off this lot... not sure if I'm going to... but definitely thinking about it.

That makes sense from the gallery -  the gallery I have to upload.  If I can find a backup of older avatars I had, I'll upload them to this folder.


so it seems the uploaded never make it to the gallery - Figured as much.  Appears the upload folder is attachments as well. 


It's even more interesting from my end... I see the images in the forum.  But the images on the webserver aren't images... per se (lol).  They contain a scrambled name and are of 'file' category... not a png, jpeg, gif..etc.

I made a strategic decision to not buy into Xbox One... this is because I am working to buy a bit less and have less of a pool of games to play.  Since all companies (Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony) are charging for their online service... I don't want to pay for all 3.

Unfortunately, I left the XBOX to the side.

Who owns and plays on the Xbox One?    What are your thoughts on the system?  If you have a Playstation 4 and Switch... what are you thoughts on the XBONE versus those systems?

That's odd... hm... Maybe it has something to do with the permissions I have set.  I'll take a look into those.

lol... ok... I know there isn't much interest in the Nintendo Virtual Boy... but there has to be a thread dedicated (at least 1) to the Nintendo Virtual Boy.  A retro / Old School board wouldn't be right without it.

I actually still have my Virtual Boy.  Speaking of that... I need to make sure the batteries didn't corrode in it.

The rechargeable battery is crazy big!  So... what's the life expectancy like?  I know Ni-MH batteries have a tendency to crap out faster if you do not deplete and then recharge.


I just use the 6 AA's.... but it eats those like candy lol.

If you change your avatar... does your previous avatar automatically delete?  Or does it stay?


If they delete... Just trying to think of an easy way to make them stay and "collect."  Would like to make it so that they somehow go to the avatar folder or something like that.

We should add in there somewhere... I think we beat ODST on  the Thanksgiving LAN night. lol

Also I verified... MSN  messenger (Windows Live messenger) AND I think Yahoo Messenger are all dead.

Skype should be next... and working on more soon.  Speaking of Skype... does anyone know the standard Skype link for a Skype profile?  That would help me out if you have it on hand.

I have it working. All you have to do is enter your username... and the steam icon shows up on your profile in the icons section.  Take a look at my Profile as an example.

Battle.net profiles... is it possible to link to a profile page?  I've searched on this and cannot find anything.

I know you can link to StarCraft 2 profiles such as:
