OK - I get it now.  I think I have the "Cobalt Blue Game Boy Advance SP."  I don't think mine had the "brighter screen."  It's still pretty nice though

Yeah... it was like the commercials.  For whatever reason, mine no longer makes the click sounds.

I'll have to keep trying.... I'm pretty sure I heard it in Mario Odyssey.  I'll try that title again. I don't remember hearing it at the console level... or in Bomberman tonight.

Interesting, not sure how much bomberman fun I can have at 40 but if it went to 20 - maybe even 30...

Yeah... I ended up buying it last night.  It's a lot of fun and a lot like Super Bomberman - one of my favorites... if not my favorite.

This would be a great game for multiplayer gaming.   pretty addictive as well.  I don't get tired of Bomberman... though a lot of friends would.

Have you heard if that will change with the pay to play online for the switch?  If they require pay for online... the least they should do is provide some of these features.

MM and I would play here and there back in the Gamecube days lol.  In fact, I still have the broadband adapter.

I've never had these issues because I kept PS Plus current.  I just don't like the pay for play scheme.  It is cool we get games... but I don't feel the free games offered have been as good or top notch as of late.

@ Target... Not sure if tomorrow night will work... but let's try for Tuesday or Wednesday.  Let me know if either work for you.  We might be able to get Medatoah to join then.

I've never used discord but I use Slack. I think it's similar so I'll give it a shot.

I've never used slack... I will look into it as well.  DIscord works pretty well.   I Created a ChickenDinnerGaming Battle.net channel... Bnet had a pretty good system now... I dig how they do it.  But it's not as convenient for games outside blizzard.

I agree... Sony missed out on a BIG opportunity.  They had a great concept - and knocked it out of the park with the PSN integration... syncing trophies... and being able to have mobile friends / users lists.  Heck... I would do all my messaging from the Vita because it was 5x more convenient.


@ Target,... I honestly think that's the way consoles will be in the future.  Like the Switch Concept.  I called that about 5-7 years ago.  NOW... will it look exactly like it?  No... but I seriously think large consoles aren't long for the world... and companies are continually figuring out how to push more into less.   Graphics cards will be the hardest part - to keep up with consoles and high end GPU processing in a smaller package.

I'm looking to do a little more with this section... IE a help board of some sort.  Will figure that out in the future.... wanted to get the suggestions, comments, and feedback out there 1st.

I'm starting to rethink some of the layout as well.  As it is... it doesn't give us a good way to expand like Nintendolife, IGN, GameFAQS and other message boards.


Just starting to rethink the consolidation right now... maybe we do need to explode some of the boards out.  I created a topic about the Neo Geo... but I'm not sure that's enough.     I'm going to write this brain crap out and see about coming up with something.  This is a great start... but may be too limited.

I never could get the buddy list to work... Not sure if they fixed it or not.   I like playing Zynga poker... only get to play it here any there anymore.   

Who else plays?    I wonder if it's possible to now get into a game with a friend.  A co-worker and I tried for the longest time... but the buddy list wasn't working. You had to stumble across someone to add them (IE as if they were at the same table)... you wouldn't be able to find them otherwise.

If you play... post up.  Maybe we can try to play some poker at some point.

A couple of years ago I stumbled across a free private PSO server called Ephinea. There are a few main private servers and this is one of them, but I really enjoyed the community there and they strive to keep the game vanilla with a few quality-of-life upgrades here and there.

Welcome to check it out! It's Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst so it's Episode 1, 2, and 4. They've created a ton of side quests and quest bonuses to keep things interesting. Let me know if you're thinking of joining and I'll definitely hop on to play and help out.

I was just at Beat Buy and noticed Super Bomberman R for the Nintendo switch.  It was $40 so I didn't walk away with it today. 

Anyone played it?  Is it good?  I'm a pretty big bomberman fan since Super Bomberman on the Super Nintendo.  I saw this for the Switch.... and was thinking how awesome it would be if we could get a few of us to get bomberman gaming sessions moving

Will there be a PS Vita Successor?   Will Sony Ever enter the handheld market again?/

I personally dig my Playstation Vita.  I've played it quite a bit... PSN integration is done very well with trophies, messaging and all.  In fact, I like the format, design and layout.

Personally, I hope Sony decides to release something else.   I think Handhelds are the way of the future... at least very portable systems.   The Switch in my opinion is the future.  In manufacturing, we now run much smaller systems (fanless machines - super small terminals).  I'll create a topic on this later.
