I wrote this while way too tired and put it in the wrong category!

Anyway, finished the main story of the game last night after about 28 hours of gameplay.  I have nowhere near 100% on shards, items, or skill mastery, so there is still replay value there!

I have also not yet finished the 8-bit nightmare level!

I folded pretty quickly and bought this one from Steam the day of release.  Although many have been calling it the spiritual successor to Castlevania's Symphny of the Night, it does really borrow heavily from more recent Castlevania games.

I see heavy influence from Aria of Sorrow, Order of Ecclesia, and graphical style reminiscent of the PSP's Dracula X Chronicles.  Miriam's shard collection is not far from Soma's souls or Shanoa's glyphs.  The weapon selection is similar to those titles as well.  There are many subtle references to earlier Castlevania games [spoiler](Avenge Trevor's Death, and Invert!)[/spoilder], but there are many fresh takes on older concepts.

So far, I really like it.  Renee has been playing the game almost as much as I have so far too!

That looks super fun, especially Adventure Island!

The stand also allows Apple owners to look down among their less wealthy friends.  >:D

SSDs are more expensive than traditional HDDs.  With no platter, they are faster, with both lower seek time and high transfer rate.  They are also more shock resistant.  On top of those advantages, an SSD runs cooler with lower power draw than traditional platter drives.

A hybrid drive is adding a small SSD as a cache for an HDD.  This will quickly dump information, for a slightly faster feel, but still lag behind a full SSD in overall performance.  This is similar to what some Windows platforms did with using a flash drive to speed up hard drive performance.  A hybrid drive has a snappier feel on some applications while being less expensive than a full SSD.

Since SSD drives are lower in price and higher in reliability than they were five years ago, I recommend skipping the hybrid and going straight for SSD.

Steam is having their Spring cleaning event.  Some people are off work for the day.  Many cookouts will be had.

Does anyone want to plan on some gaming at some point during the day?

If you put an apple sticker in the back window of your car, I will disavow you.

Be sure to have the Mac in proper configuration for serious gaming!

Gamers hate lag and latency.  Server processing is always present on online games, which has improved over time, but the option to play a simple single-player game on a local machine will certainly still have appeal to old school gamers.

I have already resigned to the fact that I will skip this entire generation (Xbone, Switch, PS4), while sticking with PS3, 360, 3DS, and PC.

Hopefully after the initial rush of systems and high prices, I will be able to step into the current generation of gaming once I some work and finance stuff handled.

I have the Thor movies whenever you want to borrow!

No, he did not.

Odin's father had hidden the Ether (Reality Stone) long ago as referenced in Thor: The Dark World.  The video even mentions this, but incorrectly states that Odin knew where it was located--he did not.  This undoes the entire theory of the video.  There is no evidence seen in the MCU movies that Odin had other stones with exception of the Tesseract.

Wow, I feel dorky replying to this thread.

It was more classic death match style, but with pairs.  It works.

Sennheiser Game One, Sennheier Game Zero, or Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum would be my recommendations!

Last year it was the last week of May.  If they do it this year, I would think it would be similar timing.

I totally spaced it last night (pun intended).

I might be able to do a bit of campaigning tonight.

There is not enough time in one weekend to watch all of them (and still sleep).  Is there?

I am stuck working this weekend, so do not know when I will get to see the end. :(

Last weekend I played a bit of Air Royale with my nephew.  It is plane based PVP without the building aspect in normal Fortnite play.  We actually did pretty well and got up to second place in one game.

Mine is not really "full" retro since my NES is in storage.

My Trinitron WEGA 27" has my PS2, PS3, and SNES hooked up to it.

My Sanyo HDTV has the Xbox, 360, NES Classic, and SNES Classic.

There is a little bit of retro in both gaming TVs.  Of course, not quite High Score Girl levels of 90s arcade game goodness.  I am sure that BV can out retro me in that regard.

Bloodlines was a Genesis exclusive.

Yeah, this! ^

I know what a certain Castlevania fan is getting for her birthday!

This is going to be done right, by Sega.  Forty games to start, including Ecco the Dolphin, Sonic, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Altered Beast, and Toejam & Earl!

I have seen that the other Genesis retro systems have not done so well, nor did the Sony Playstation classic.  Since this one features games that have not been released elsewhere (Castlevania: Bloodlines) I think that it may do far better!

Acacia Strain - Wormwood

I have not been listening to it.. just humming it.. in my head.. when I have had a rotten day.

It was Marvelous!

Not sure what my total time in this game is.  I have gotten all of the Celestial weapons except for winning Wakka's championship weapon from blitzball and completed all of the main story except the final boss.  I have about 39 save files from this run through of the game.

Grunge, Blockbuster, and Street Fighter 2 references were all so appreciated!
