General Discussion / Re: Happy Birthday Grindspine
August 08, 2018, 07:52:22 PM
Ah, I thought you were talking about the email that I got telling me that I was mentioned in a topic.  When I clicked the topic, I got a 403 forbidden message.  I was like, "What?  I am forbidden from my birthday?"

A co worker of mine once said, for a belated birthday greeting, "Happy afterbirth!"

On that lovely note, thank you for the wishes!

I still play sc2 here and there.  The game mode depends on my mood.

I have yet to beat Mega Man X2 or X3.  Mega Man 7 was rough.  I beat that once, then took it out of my SNES and never played it again.  I hate that game  >:D

It is a fun romp, but can be finished within a few evenings of playing.

Great movie.  It is impossible to talk about the ending without invoking spoilers and the other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies though.

I have played one night with Spartan and MasterMario, but need to revisit the game.

FortNite / Re: FortNite PS4 - How many of you play?

I played a bit with my nephew joining a game.  I will have to invest a bit more time to it.

The necromancer expansion was a welcome nostalgic foray into Diablo II days.  I have not had much time to play it lately though.

I would be willing to play a bit more.

I played quite a few games that I had not touched.  Some of those games gave me the impression of, "Oh, yeah, I should play through more of this when I get a chance."  Several left me with the impression of, "No wonder I had not bothered to install this before."

I have many games that I picked up in those Steam sale packages where I bought a package to get one or two games cheap, but ended up with several games being added to my library.

Bloodstained Ritual has been in the works for so long.  I really hope that it does not flop.  It has been far too long since a solid Konami Castlevania (Metroidvania) game has made an appearance on a full console rather than a handheld system.

It looks like Valve realizes how many Steam users have massive backlogs.  This holiday weekend is all about spring cleaning!

Wow...

This is the worst Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse imitation that I have seen.  It would have had potential in 1989 if it were by Konami...  Maybe it appeals to some retro fans.  Thoughts?

My nephew has been bugging me to play Fortnite.

@mastermario want to play some tonight around 8 eastern?

It is on my list.  Nintendo games rarely seem to ever go on sale.

I replayed Zelda III: A Link to the Past, but have not spent much time with it since beating that game.

I got a 3dsxl mostly to play DS games on a larger screen (Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, Dawn of Sorrow, and Order of Ecclesia).  Now that I have it, I am seriously considering Mario Kart 7 and Metroid: Samus Returns.

Halo: Master Chief Collection (Halo 2 HD)
Halo 5: Guardians

Does Xbox one have any other killer apps or exclusive titles?  If so, I have not heard of them.

General Discussion / Re: Lost in Space on Netflix

Trying to watch LIS now... but, I have to work in the morning, so I have to stop in the middle of episode 3.

Game Boy Advance, PS2, and Xbox are becoming retro.  PS3 and 360 are still current.

To be retro, support has to be totally gone for a system.

Digital is better for quick access with little physical storage space and no disc scratches to worry about.

Physical is better if I want to sell a game.

My GF watched it last night.  I did not really get caught up by Lost in Space.

Dark Matter really never went anywhere.  After watching it, I thought that it could have been called Doesn't Matter.

Drop down menus sound fancy, but also complex.  Keeping user input simplified would be good.

From a company stand point, they do not legally have to offer a warranty for their products at all.  It makes sense to me that a warranty would not be intact if 3rd party parts were used to modify or repair the original work that the company was modifying.  The warranty cannot realistically extend to work or parts that they did not originally use in the manufacture of the product.

So.. like..

Grindspine:

PSP: 3rd Birthday     played X    beaten _      100%   _

PC: HOB                  played X    beaten X      100%  _

PC: ICEY                 played X    beaten X       100% X

Somethin' like that?

So, every site user would have a page linked from their profile to a list of games they have.  That list would show next to it if the game was beaten or yet to be beaten?
