The 1st one was a Blu-ray buy for us as well.  Just didn't know enough about it.  At least that's how I remember it  ;D

Once you check it out... post up your comments.

Yeah... the last episode was pretty great.   Except...  now we are seeing another plan that will cause an issue.  Not sure where/how this will get resolved.

Spoiler: ShowHide
I'm not happy Talos actually died... and not happy that Maria was killed as well.  It was crazy to see Rhode locked up for so long... I mean, we knew it was happening.  I am glad they resolved that.   You also cannot kill off Ross.  I am also glad they did not touch those characters.

Again... I wish we had more than 6 episodes.  This series really needed about 10 episodes and maybe 45 min each, not in the 30's towards the end.   I guess they could've gone too far as well.

Ugh... I've been avoiding Diablo 4 @mastermario ... I want the game really bad.  I hear it is amazing.  We probably need a new topic for this

No one had a chance to check this out?  Did anyone check out the 1st spider-verse ?

Lol they legit died 12 years ago... at least.  In fact, I'm sure they died after a certain version of forum software.   No one does flash games anymore lol
#456
YeaH... there were a couple other parts that were mission impossible'd as well.

Spoiler: ShowHide
I really hope Ilsa didn't die or they retract that death somehow.  She was a buttkicker all the way... but I think she's dead for good.

Also,
Spoiler: ShowHide
Yeah... flying through the train window - I see this inflicting more damage to Ethan than was shown.  It was hilarious for sure... but I think internally he would've been a bit more jellified.

Quote from: CreepinDeth on June 22, 2023, 11:50:26 PMIt's been really difficult lately to get to the theater. Just been working and then not feeling like going out from being mentally spent. Looks like this will be another Disney+ watch for me.
@CreepinDeth - yeah ... I'm in the same boat right now.  We are launching a product and the last 8-9 months have been very busy.

My Guess is there will be informational backfill during the Marvels. The previews seem to hint at this.

Episode 4 was much shorter and had more shocking stuff in it:
Spoiler: ShowHide
and they better have not killed off Talos.  Man... I will not be happy.

It will be hard for them to resolve everything in the next 2 episodes... I guess we will see how they do it.

@CreepinDeth - I have not.  I'm a bit backlogged, but I'll see about checking it out.  @SpartanEvolved @Grindspine @mastermario  — have you checked this out?

Quote from: retro junkie on July 12, 2023, 04:27:10 PMSo far with Agents of Shield, I like the show even though I have disliked where they have taken some of the characters and their relationship with each other. I hope they have some victories. Most of the writing so far has been gloomy and defeating to the characters.

I really liked season 2. Imo it started to pick up... and it is a bit gloomy at times.  I think some of the relationships are odd ... a bit forced. But you never know if they are real or not...  or if someone is using someone or spying / juicing for information

We just got out of the theatre for Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1... the movie is great. I don't know if anyone has plans to see this... but I highly recommend.

The movie start to finish sans a couple parts is 100% solid.

Anyone looking forward to this movie?  Thoughts, comments... Post it up

Same here @CreepinDeth @retro junkie man... we couldn't believe that happened.  Same response... what the?!

Spoiler: ShowHide
we were like you can't do that to her... on the 1st episode... come on.  I'm half expecting to see Coulson again too for some reason  ;D   Come on Disney... do it!  :great:

For those who are fans of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, this marks the 2nd film of the animated series.   Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is follows along with the same animation style.

We ended up seeing it in theatres last weekend.  It was still the cool animation style.  There were a number of unexpected twists... we cannot wait for the 3rd installment of the series.  IT's hard to say whether the 1st or 2nd movie was better. So far, both have been well done.

Who saw this movie? or are you looking forward to the movie?  post it up!

@retro junkie nice!! We just picked it back up again as well.  I really enjoy Agents of Shield... at least so far.

I've been waiting for Secret Invasion for a long time.  If I remember right, it was delayed at least once as well. It just came out!

So far, this show is off to an interesting start.  I think they did pretty well and the list of actors is awesome.  I'm glad to see Nick Fury back at it (this is obviously not a spoiler). I won't go too far for now to avoid spoilers.

Who's pumped for Secret Invasion?   Have you been looking forward to it starting?  Post it up!

I think I may buy this one. It's a shame they don't have better multiplayer for it though matches could take a very long time.

10% off right now but still $50+

Advanced wars is awesome though... outside complaints of multiplayer, it seems like this game is holding up and highly rated.

@targetrasp you take it back!!  Come on.man, you gotta play it!

It was a great game!  :great:

@retro junkie — 1st off.  Great post and review. Sorry I missed this one for so long - Seriously high five on This one...  you have a number of great reviews.

Viewpoint 64... I have Viewpoint on the Neo Geo CD. I wanted it on the Neo Geo AES, but it was always so expensive.  It's pretty great on the Neo Geo CD.

I always wanted this game on the Nintendo 64. It's really weird they never released it. At one point, I would've swore I saw one... but obviously that's a bad memory. I'm recalling a different game.

It's cool you were able to score this. Did you finish viewpoint 64 yet?  If it can be finished...

Well... I finally get around to playing G Darius last weekend.  It truly is a bizarre title.  Even in the HD remaster setting, G Darius is still a bit rough on the eyes.  But... if you go back to the original, you REALLLLY see how rough it was.

I originally mentioned the game in this discount game thread: G Darius - PS4

The Fish based bosses are pretty crazy.  I guess I missed this game as I don't recognize it at all.  It looks like it was originally released on the Playstation.  Did any play this on the Playstation in it's original iteration?

Comments?  Thoughts?  Post it up!

@targetrasp ... still laughing ... $15 bucks little man...

LOL... you kicked the game's butt so hard that you made it crash.

I never did play Bulldog... not super familiar with that game.

@retro junkie   I hear you... there are a couple movies we missed... IE the Mario Movie.  Thankfully we still have a few theaters still open.  It's just been insanely busy the last few months.

I Think it's about time to get back to Agents of Shield... we are still on season 2.

Anyone else catching any shows?
@mastermario @SpartanEvolved @targetrasp @CreepinDeth @retro junkie @trkorecky --> see if we can get recky on this one  ;D

@CreepinDeth  Oddly enough... it started working again.  There was an update... but my Steam Deck remained dormant for 3ish months.  Life has been very busy with many events.  I finally turned it on over the weekend, applied the update.  After the update, the same issue happened.  However, for grins... I went into desktop mode to see what it was all about. I brought the system back out of desktop mode... and it just worked.  :happydance:  What in the heck LOL...    Might as well have punched myself in the face.

Back to full Steam (boooo) ahead.

Asus really has a nice lineup for the most part.  Outside the proc differences (which will be very noticeable as you noticed)... the form and fit of Asus is great.    I used to really love IBM laptops and computers... Lenovo also has a great lineup, but Asus has really edged Lenovo out in my personal preference.

That's cool you have a Wacom @retro junkie --> I've always wanted to try one (especially back in the day when I did more with computer graphics). I am also curious how your setup plays out.

I personally have a hard time settling up to Google.  That's just me though...

I get that... it really does seem temporary.  All of the streaming services seem temporary.  If a service closed up, would any of the games or movies exist?  Would they be bought out and published somewhere else?  Obviously if Nintendo's switch service ceased, you wouldn't be able to access certain things.  We've seen that with the closing of certain shops in the past.  Your downloads stay... but you cannot buy any more... and I wouldn't doubt in the future they won't be available.

Though... many people don't want the clutter of buying everything.  They want to just play the game, be done, and move on to the next.  Seems this is becoming more and more the mentality.

I played Andro Dunos on the Neo Geo.  I just ran across this on Amazon:

Andro Dunos 2 - Nintendo Switch

Has anyone else looked into this game?  If so, what are your thoughts.  It was never my favorite, but I'm a shmup addict.

Thoughts, comments... post it up!

Just a heads up, the host is having issues with their upstream network provider. You may run into issues using and viewing the site.

Hopefully they'll be mitigated soon.
