I got it during the steam summer sale, haven't fired it up yet but it's in the queue

It's usually pretty good for gifts. If it lines up with something I want or need i'll jump in but usually just buy a lot of crap to put up for birthdays and Christmas.

Sunrise looks a little better and a little cleaner BUT I'm so used to vVide it's disorienting.

I'll put as much into this evaluation, reaction, review as I believe Konami put into their trailer...

This looks like a buy and put up game. Limited runs of indie / nostalgic games I picked up at this point last year are selling for at least 10% more than they were at release.

My son bought it with some birthday money. The neighborhood kids love to come over and play it with him. I've not got a chance to play yet but it looks like a game I'd enjoy, despite not being a fan of the level building.

I originally didn't purchase the game for the switch since I had it on the wii u. The kids still wanted to play online so I got it for the switch and it really did renew my interest in the game. It didn't feel a ton different but there were some nice graphical tweaks and the additional portability along with the larger online community was a bonus.

I bought the 3ds that came with this game. I can't even remember why I didn't finish it. It was fun.

I've all intent on playing them all through but I'm likely going the route of BV, backlogged, waiting for a broken leg or stuck in a blizzard...

yeah online only, at least at launch. I was bummed but bought it anyway. fun stuff that scratches a nostalgia itch. Contra is out too but it didn't age as well for me.

I've only played a little Boarderlands this month.

I've really cooled off on gaming in the last few months. I've not even purchased a lot. Usually I'm adding something to the collection weekly. I don't think I've bought three games in the last two months.

Please God love me enough to include Blazing Lasers and Military Madness..

the tronne bonne fiasco aside I really enjoyed the two legends games. I think it'd shine as a truly open world title.

I saw something today where they were only going to allow it on pixel smart phones AND 4k would require 35 meg, essentially knocking off any hopes of playing on a phone. I also saw where it's 10 a month for the service and the only games shown were stuff we've already got AND I didn't see any platform exclusive stuff.... Starting to think this is going to tank

There was some speculation that the ps5 would be able to play everything in the library but it seems like that's a pipe dream. I'm still buying cheap ps1 - 4 games in anticipation but i'm not holding my breath for anything other that ps4 bc. Even if they just skipped the ps3 titles i'd be fine as ps3 already has hdmi. I'm not lucky enough to have a working crt so I'd really appreciate some ps1 and 2 love.

i'll watch it, just like I watched Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Mario Bros., Double Dragon, Wizard (commercial disguised as a movie), Doom...

man video game movies are bad...

It doesn't look like Sonic fans are very happy over this one. It's hard to blame them, with that long line of filth that ran in between Sonic Adventure to Sonic Mania. There's really not been much to cheer for in a long time. Sonic Mania seemed to be a turning point. Sonic Mania was pretty good, and recently Sega punted AT Games from developing their official entry into the retro mini market... Sega fans were starting to be rewarded for their Bostonian like drought. But now we get a trailer to the goofiest CGI Sonic ever is out. This thing is so bad that the net nerds are in a rage! They've made such a stink that the director is promising to change things up.

Changing the character design will be a start, but my gosh there's so many things to pick on. My favorite though is the choice of Gangsta's Paradise accompanying the trailer. Sonic hasn't had street cred since being voiced by Steve Urkel... and crap why didn't Jaleel White reprise his role as Sonic?

Seriously, if you've not seen the sonic trailer do yourself a favor and watch it. If you subscribe to intoxicating substances, partake first. It's amazingly bad. SO bad that I want to own it as is. It'll be in rotation with Garbage Pail Kids and Howard the Duck. Its so bad I think Troma is involved. It's so bad Toxie may be able to help. It's so bad people will go and watch it just to see how bad it is.

Sega has made some boneheaded decisions in the past but how many times does one have to pee on the electric fence before they realize they're putting the M in stupid.

Sonic is an IP just begging to come back. He's edgy, cool, and stupid fast. There's a lot that could be done with the Robotnick /Eggman - Sonic banter, especially with Jim Carey playing Eggman. Think back to the cartoons, Sonic foiling Eggman and giving him crap the whole time... Thrown some charismatic, witty voice actor behind sonic and let him and Carey go to it. Instead the trailer focuses on cringe worthy dialogue and a piss poor character design.

If there's any one you'd rather try, whether it be campaign or faction let me know, it'll all be shiny and new for me, there may be something you're tired of or wanna try out

Is there anything I need to do before we start playing?

Some games have a lengthy intro or character creation period before you can start playing with someone else, I'd hate for that to be the case and spend the first hour(s) making someone wait.

Sorry @mastermario, had some work things pop up, had to cover some shifts, now am having to recruit... I'll not be able to do much until I get a position filled.

my play time will be relegated to the weekends for at least this week and next. Ownership is in town making my work days pretty long.

I used my 20% off gamestop sends out for the Red Dead 2 for ps4 and ebay had a $5.00 incentive (not a birthday thing, just a thing) so I bought a cheap Studio Ghibli movie collection.

My daughter's birthday is 2 days later and spring break for the kids happened on same week so I didn't get or do much. I did crack my last bottle of Blanton's Sunday night in celebration as well.
