The OLED Switch has been out for a little while now.  It has followed the "difficult to procure" suit with all the other consoles out there.  I was able to pick one up in November 2021... but honestly, I haven't been able to put much time into it.

The screen looks pretty frickin nice though.  IMO, it's a decent upgrade from the original switch.  Is it enough of an upgrade to replace your older switch... or maybe launch switch from 4-5 years ago?  That depends on you and how important the screen and a couple other upgrades (IE the stand) are to you.  I do like the screen upgrade... Metroid Dread looks REALLY good on the OLED.

It was being birthed out of the "core of the Earth" is my understanding.  SO... it's somehow still imbedded partly in the core.  Otherwise, the Earth would have been Earth bits floating into space.

@CreepinDeth - oh man... this is making me more excited.   The ONLY draw back ... is when Linus Tech stated a steam controller was built in.  LOL... that makes me shudder a bit.  These videos make the Steam Deck look more exciting for sure.

I've been heads down on several projects lately... but I started playing Tetris 99 again.  I also played a bit of Super Mario Party... for which I have neglected to create a topic on that game.   It is a very fun Mario Party... for those that haven't played it yet.

Yeah, if I play an online game it's probably going to be on Steam. I don't like Live or anything that has their online service. I have Gigabit internet but I'm still capped on their online services.

I've been absent in the pc gaming realm as of late.  I've been more of a handheld, quick console, and quick pick gamer.

I originally did something like this when I 1st bought the TV... a pretty long time ago.  The process was never repeated.  I will take a look into this as well... Not sure if repeating would help to prolong... definitely will check this out and read up today.

While studying next week... I'm going to revisit this movie.  I feel that I have missed something... can this movie be a DC movie Marvel attempt?  Maybe it really is that meh...

I also thought the Celestial coming at the end was pretty cool... you could see him from outer space from Earth.   Also... what the heck is going to happen with the Celestial now sticking partly out of the Earth?!

We were able to get into another iMax showing of the movie.  Super sparse attendance.   This movie is just as awesome the 2nd time seeing it.  It's still hard to go back and watch the other Spider-Man movies (Toby and Andrew).   I do miss the some what light heartedness of the 1st Tom Holland Spider-Man.. Homecoming.  It was very cool to see his character develop though and drive into No Way Home.

@retro junkie - I don't know... this one MIGHT be worth the sticky floors 

So disappointed this was a season FINALE...  Happy it's only a season finale... but these shows (IE Hawkeye, Loki, and Boba Fett) could EASILY have been extended 2-3 more shows.

With that said... what a finale...

and I absolutely dug the battle scene.  The biggest head-smacker was everyone shooting at the rancor lol... come on guys.

We recently started watching Agents of Shield.  I'm not sure how I missed this (7 seasons?!) the 1st time around... but it is well done.   It's like a combination of Marvel and 24 in many respects.  The story of Agent Coulson is pretty awesome... and at this point, I think it's say to assume spoilers are ok.

We are about ready to turn to season 2... and the show so far has been great.  They need to figure out a way to resurrect this show.  Make a deal Disney... get it done.  Don't be stupid.

Last... I am also confused whether Agents of Shield are considered canon or not.  There's TONS of material and major tie-ins to the movies that ... would only make sense that the show would be canon.  Like Agent Carter, there seems to be more confusion and statements on whether both are canon or not.

yeah... it's about time for prices to fall.  Depending on the currency, it's getting much harder to mine.  I don't think mining is feasible anymore for your average person to mine for bitcoin.   If they have a bunch of people mining now, but they start getting to the maximums of mining, the reason for participating in mining goes away.  That means they're going to run into issues in the future because miners are the reason the currencies live.

I guess they'll figure out a solution.. but, it's a real problem.

Does anyone remember back when the Wii was new, the blue light would always light up when there was an update...etc.   At night, the light would light up... you knew you had a message, an update, or something else.  Many times, it ended up being a new message.  For some reason, I thought about this today and it was ringing in my head.

@retro junkie  -- totally understand.  After the PS5 and a couple other things, it's really a lot of money to continually shell out for gear.  It's cool gear... but it's a bit rough to continually pay out for new gear.  The price increases haven't helped either.

I hope you're right. I know the RTS genre is a bit dead right now.  I miss playing Starcraft 2... but it was frustrating getting stopped    Get better, right?!  Hopefully they're able to resurrect some of these games.

The part I don't like... is their integration with everything Microsoft - IE Live.  To me, it's sluggish service.  When they brought Minecraft into the mix, it really slowed the interface of the game down.  There were other issues after the integrations as well.  Now, it's not horrible, but it's still a bit sluggish. Thankfully the Minecraft mini games can still be accessed on PS4. 

I Think we are going to go check it out again today.  We found a time where it looks like the theater is pretty empty.

I couldn't believe it was going to take until March to come out for home viewing.  But I guess it's still making money in the theater

the remainder of the Mandalorian were still so hard pressed to not let Mando atone.  They're down to 3 frickin people.  Really?  I get being disciplined, but sometimes you have to look inward or sacrifice dying out.  Maybe it's that important to them.  I guess that's why there are only 3 left as well.

I also wonder if this means they're going to merge the shows from here on out.

While I thought it was ok... it really was a dc effort of a movie.  I'm not sure if that's the worst insult a Marvel movie could incur, but it's true.

I'm always happy for a new Marvel movie. Some parts of this one were cool.  It could've been done in a much better way.  Marvel, stay away from the DC path.

I agree on your consolidation mention.  There's been too much consolidation into massive corporate silos across tons of different industries.  Mergers and acquisitions are at a ridiculous pace... and accelerated during covid.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out... and how it molds the future of the gaming industry.   

The episode tonight was awesome.  The series is really picking up now!  Severe cool cross points happened... and well as other events.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is in theaters... and has been for a bit.  I will say, it was a bit uncomfortable going during the surge.  We probably won't go back to the theater until it dies down a bit more.  However, this movie was really really good.  The characters they bring back (won't spoil for now)... the story... it was all very well done.   It also ties into some of the D+ series very well.  There were some parts that should/could have been expanded... but over all, I think they did a great job.  It also looks like Tom Holland will be back for a 4th movie... and this movie crushed the box office.

Alright... this just started... and what a brutal 1st episode.  Episode 2 really smooth a few pieces out... but I will say I'm a bit surprised Boba Fett did what he did.  I Won't go into it as much right now.

Eternals hits Disney+ 1/12/2022... but did anyone see it in the theatre?  We did not.

yeah... 4 years is crazy.  We time warped 2+ years with covid... I think.    In addition to a stronger 5G signal from the shots, I think they caused a time warp.  I'm kidding... I'm kidding.

lol... I have a single resolution:

Finish up my educational objectives by May 1, 2022... and then I'm taking a break and pickup the guitar back up.  I plan to heavily study music for awhile.  I quit doing this back in 2015-2016 to meet work objectives (and to acquire an IBM professional level certification)... and had to do this again end of 2018 through this year.  I acquired 7 Industry certifications since late 2018 (a little over 3 years).  Trying to finish with another 4-5 in this time frame... as well as the Caltech program I'm in for work.  BV needs a little bit of a rest... but not sure I know how to stop now ... sadly enough.
