If we are all confined to our house, we might just need that one game. No wait! I can get the digital download!  :))  :o

I think they are in a critical point and the coronavirus might just be the straw that brings the house down. Gamestop can't afford to close its doors. They might not reopen, not enough cash on hand could be a critical issue.

Wait a minute, it looks as if they have given up and closed.

I guess, how it has effected us?
The inconvenience of the madness where people are in a panic and it seems it is not letting up. (You would think that their storage area would get full, or their money would run out.)
Since the panic buying has started, I have not seen a loaf of bread, bag of potatoes, raw chicken, spaghetti sauce, pasta noodles of any kind, etc. This can go for a lot of things that were just common items when shopping. And yet two aisles that are left untouched in the stores around here are the candy and chip aisle.  :)) Walmart is starting a Senior day for each Tuesday where we get to shop one hour before the store opens. So maybe I will be able to get some of the missing items.

Before this crisis, I never mentally grasp the concept that I am a "Senior Citizen." The thought never occurred to me. I have always been aggressive, go getter, bull in the china shop sort-of person. Now I am trying to adjust to the idea that I am a "high risk" category because I am 65 years old and have hypertension, plus a few other things. I am not used to being cautious. I am wearing gloves to use the AT machine, to get gas, and now including going to the grocery. I am trying to adjust to thinking through what might be a possibility for "contact." I think the possibility is beyond our personal control and can be mind boggling if you spend too much time on the subject. I do have a piece of tape on my floor in my office, or lab, at my desk. It marks six feet from my chair, the safe space, supposedly. We was told today that we will not shut down unless we are forced.

When it comes to meals, especially when you have been on a strict diet, choosing some alternative food can be challenging. This is due to not finding your normal food choices. I have picked up some things just to have on hand that I would not normally purchase due to the salt content, corn beef hash in a can, for example.

Our area has had its first confirmed case this week. I still do not think this is going to be over with in just a couple of weeks. I think, locally, it will explode, peek, then calm down. A possibility is, it could dispensate after warm weather kicks in. But the effects to our economy could last all Summer.

We were told today that we are not shutting down. And if all of our customers shut down then we will catch up on back orders. That is so when everyone returns to work we will have things caught up. I work for a Japanese company. They will have to be made to close.

Today it was announced that we have our first case of the virus in our area with a potential of more. I am a high risk person and all of those who work under me except for one are high risk. I am 65 years old and have hypertension, among other things. People here locally, I don't think, are taking this situation seriously. Yes there is the panic, but I work around people where it has not sunk in. I don't think enough people get the idea that life will, and needs to, change.

Local restaurants are closed except for drive through, or take out. Small "mom & pop" shops are ordered close down, beauty shops, etc. Anything that is non essential. Even factories are starting to close. Grocery stores are restocking and there is no shortages, it is just that people are purchasing everything cleaning off the shelves. People are freaking out, scared.

If I end up at home, I will take care of some undone chores around here.

Now I believe this virus is bad. My game console delayed until the end of the year!!

Mine has been down for about 5 years. Last time I tried the unit the screen took several minutes to for the screen to come on. I think it had to warm up. There was no sound.

I have so many questions at this point. This is very interesting simply because of the Linux licensing. I am wondering just what type of programs this will be able to run, both? Is this linux with a Windows 10 shell? I really need to understand its purpose. If this would be available as a free OS that had the capabilities of running both programs libraries with the stability and security of linux, that would be the icing on the cake.  This is very interesting.

I have to use Win 10 at in my workplace. I do not like it. I thought 7 was better and easier to work on.

I have both the PC Engine and the Turbo Grafx 16 consoles. Plus the Turbo Duo and Turbo Express. My Turbo Express needs to be repaired as it has fallen to the capacitor issue. I have a ton of games, many from the Turbo glory days. Hooking it up to the HD TV experience has mixed results. I have a cheap convertor that makes you grit your teeth, or I can directly use the RCA connection, jagged pixel nation. But it works to get that TG 16 fix.

Wow that is a typo of is it one of those hacks?  :))

That is very disappointing if that is a delayed date. I do not understand why. They have had plenty of time. I want mine now.  ;)

This is insane. Common flu has an estimated 56,000 deaths a year in the US vs Coronavirus 30 so far. And yet we do not blink an eye when it is flu season. With this fabrication of a crisis, the fear and panic is more dangerous to me than the virus. By the time the warm weather is here it will be gone.

Not sure I would do that. Hmmmm.... I will think about it and weigh both options when the time comes.  ;)

I decided long ago that if any of my old disc drive consoles died, I would not invest in a replacement. Thoughts of a replacement being just as old as the one I had causes me to fear another failure quicker than the one before. So yeah I would then begin to sell off the games. Cartridge based consoles is a different story for me.

Control is tight and a dream to play. And it can stand toe to toe with any other shooter.

I have been acquiring a lot of  homebrew carts recently. I only need some time to review them. I will post up when that happens.

I remember constantly playing that game on my Lynx back then. And I do remember beating it numerous times. You gave up to easily. I feel that the Lynx Rygar is easier than the tough NES version.

Rygar on the Lynx was my favorite version of the game. And love my blue lightening. They both better be on that cart.

I agree. It would be nice if this did become a dedicated console. I would love something like this full of retro gaming. And I did not know about the Atari Lynx cart. I'm hyped.

I just recently became aware of the value of my Sega Saturn collection. I shockingly picked up only three of my games and was in awe of them being worth over $400. I need to pull out the whole lot and evaluate the whole collection. I have a lot of Capcom fighters. And Guardian Heroes, love that game. I have both NiGHTS and Christmas NiGHTS.

Your sort of early. It will be Saturday with a unique series of numbers this year, 02/22/2020. All twos and zeros. I also got my Medicare card this week. I will retire next year. And I still have my game on. Thanks for the wishes.

I hope so. I am so hyped.  8)
Supposed to happen next month.

Had a little money during Christmas Holidays. Best Buy had open box Sega mini for $40. Just what was I SUPPOSED to do? My pockets BURNING, I ended up with one these things. Very impressed. Love it. There are some games that I would have exchanged for some that were more to my liking. I would have wanted MUSHA, Bio Hazard, Sagaria, Lightning Force instead of a few games that did end up on SG Mini. But still a solid lineup now that I have it in my hands, and for $40. Less than a dollar a game with HDMI and scan lines if you want them. I do understand why certain games were chosen, but then again I feel they could have released this with 60 games, would have been sweeter. The Genesis has such a good library of great games.

EDIT: Doing a scan of ebay for going prices of the included games, plus a model one with two controllers, would put you over $1000. (That of course does not include Tetris and Darius.) Add to that a "Pound Tech HDMI" connector, $29. This would be a bargain for anyone who wants to get back into Sega Genesis gaming, but all the room they have is a drawer for storage.

The first thing that came to my mind is, who are the target gamers that these are marketed toward? I liked the "rock candy" controllers and have the clear green for my XBone. But these are not my thing.

Okay I have watched every episode for this first season. They haven't given me a good understanding as to why this Mandalorian is still alive. (Maybe it is the force?) The only one that I have seen that can fight is the one that is the blacksmith for the armor. Last two episodes seem to be the best, maybe it is because of the action. Music still seems to be a problem with me. And it is not that it is different from the movies, or style. It bothers me. But I guess, that is the way.

I find myself loving the "Lost in Space" on the Netflix streaming a lot better than this. Sorry, and I do consider myself a Star Wars fan.

Been a long time. But there was a lot that I liked about the 2008 and also the 2003 movie. Some of the content of both movies brought back memories of the comics from my childhood. Basic story line of both movies were loosely adopted from the early comics.

But I do remember enjoying both movies. I probably need to go back and rewatch.
