Nice!  I haven't brought out the SP in a long time... a very long time. The battery is still good!  I did check it somewhat recently - didn't play it though... other tasks had to be completed.

Minecraft Dungeons -- I just earned the Minecraft Dungeons platinum trophy - topic link here.
Call of Duty - Modern Warfare II --> was playing a bit with @targetrasp  ... ended up having to finish my last certification test.  Passed... now holiday stuff.  But need to get back on this soon.

yeah.. I agree.  I've never been super fond of Atari outside a few games on the Atari Jaguar and some on the Atari Lynx.  I'll tell you...  this collection was pretty well done IMO.  It was tempting to buy.  The tempting part on this one is the addition of Lynx and Jaguar.   I did like some of the old games such as Centipede.  But I can only play those so many times these days... for whatever reason.

@targetrasp - Did you crack open the collection?  thoughts?

I've been playing Minecraft Dungeons with my son over the last year... and have just platinum trophied the original game.  Minecraft Dungeons is a pretty fun game.  I will post up another topic in regard to it in the near future.

This is platinum trophy #8... on the limited gaming time I've had over the last few years.

General Discussion / Mysterious Benedict Society - D+

We happened to stumble onto this show on Disney+.  It's about a band of special kids solving a problem in somewhat of an intellectual way.  In Season 1, they have to face an "emergency."  It is interesting as there are tie-ins with how the world seems to be during the pandemic and even "post" pandemic (not in pandemic / disease topics).

While it is a younger show, we thought it was well written and acted.   Has anyone else checked this out?

General Discussion / Re: Star Wars: Andor

The ending was definitely interesting.   Luthen Rael is a great character, but it was really hard to understand what he was doing.  I get he played both sides a bit, but letting certain events happen... didn't necessarily seem like the Rebellion way.  Though, I also may have misunderstood a few things.

It was also cool to see Saw Gerrera...  his character from Rogue One was interesting.  Though, I was a bit confused by Luthen and Saw's interaction just before said certain events.

Also - the post scenes credit... pretty cool.  Hopefully more to come!  It's cool to see Disney expanding the universe.

man... this is pretty cool. I Think we have an episode or 2 left.  The series really started off a bit harsh... but progressed quite well.  I'll post a bit more once we finish the last episodes.

What are your favorite games to play on the Steam Deck?  In some cases, I find there's a vast library... and then I also see many titles aren't supported or require external software.   I have about 10-12 games that I WANT to play on it... with options for about 10% of my library... many more if I put time into the compatibility.

Rough - that screen did look pretty nice now that I think about it. I did power it on for a few min when I brought it home.

Maybe it's time to just use it...

In the past, I haven't been the biggest Atari fan.  I did like the Jaguar and Lynx.   However, this looks like a cool steel book Switch collection.
Atari 50: Steelbook Edition - Nintendo Switch

It's $50 at this time.

Andor - after about the 3rd episode... it really started getting better IMO.    It's still a bit dark, but definitely digging it a lot more.

Anyone else still watching?  Getting into it?

Bumping this topic... I think supply has been stabilizing. However, when I go to bestbuy.com, amazon.com, and others... I do not see anything in stock.

Both Amazon links are reservation only:
https://amzn.to/3UoIXb0
https://amzn.to/3Ao3HI3

This is unheard of though... 2 years out, already.  Hard to believe it's been 2 years btw.  Has anyone had success buying a PS5 (those who still want one)?

genesis mini 2 just came in the mail, this may get pushed back in the queue - game backlog is a FILO stack

@targetrasp come on man... play it!  play the game!  Do it Naow!

@Grindspine  --> Play the Cowbunga collection yet?! lol

@retro junkie --> I'm actually happy that the camera is missing.  Others definitely won't share my same sentiment.  There is an IR sensor... but beyond that... no camera (IMO) is a good thing.  Everything has a camera these days.  Now, I do see the benefit for sure for certain applications to have a camera.

@CreepinDeth --> lol... idk man.  I've just been busy.  I wanted it... but then time just went on.  And your screen comment... I never looked into that.  Are you saying the Steam Deck screen is much better?  I thought the OLED switch had the better screen.  OR are you saying... don't play it because there will be lament in regard to the Steam Deck screen?
#588
@CreepinDeth  Thank you for the ProtonDB link.  Checking it out.    There were reports at later levels with breaking bugs... but updates appeared to fix it.

I will definitely check this out.  I want to play this game lol... especially on the Steam Deck!  ;D

Rotten Tomatoes has it ranked as the worst but it's at least as good as Thor 2, The Incredible Hulk (as played by Edward Norton), Iron Man 2, or Age of Ultron... also the bottom tiered Marvel moves!
@targetrasp   - You take that back!  The Edward Norton Hulk was pretty good.  I thought so at least...   I really liked it

General Discussion / Re: WEREWOLF by Night
October 30, 2022, 09:40:08 AM
We ended up watching Werewolf by Night... and thought it was pretty awesome. It introduced a new character and is actually part of the MCU.  I'm curious where they will take the rest of what just happened in this series.  Awesome Halloween show as well!

Has anyone else checked out Werefolf by Night?

@Grindspine - it was rough at 1st... or maybe dark is the better term.  I found Andor interesting... but still have to catch up.  I Think I'm at the point where you state that it's getting better.

Once I catch up a bit more (at Episode 3), a better review can be performed.  This series was of interest... as it delves into Cassian.  This character was of much intrigue after Rogue One.  It's great to see Disney+ expanding on that character.

I have not yet... we just haven't watched it.  The trailers left us wondering... WHAT did we just see? lol.   ;D I think we are going to give it a view Friday.

So you liked it that much??  We are definitely looking forward to watching WEREWOLF by Night.

I liked the ending... though I'm not sure I like exactly how it was performed.   However, it was a "does everything have to have a super over dramatic fight?"  No... it can end without all that stuff in a semi-calm manner.  I Think it stepped back and made fun of themselves a bit... and are trying to show that she doesn't need all the chaos to have a good ending.

I liked the series... it was cool to see something done in a bit different light... though still processing how the ending was accomplished.

Hey @mastermario Glad to see you!

Those game are LONG gone lol.  I mean... That was old forum and well before one of the upgrades that took away our customizations due to security issues.  Probably 2008-2009, I think.

However, I can take a look to see if they're available these days.  I doubt it... flash games are somewhat a thing of the past.
