now that video games are insanely popular there'd be a market for x-play and attack of the show, if it wasn't for that pesky youtube.

160 sounds like a reasonable number. I've not put much time in it but trying to get a North American list with any authority behind it is difficult. I've downloaded the list from Wikipedia but it has all the physical and digital releases and doesn't denote which are digital only. I'll start going through it and compose my list at some point but for now i'm assuming 157-160ish. 135 ish to go!

I've got monster hunter, farcry, black ops 4, god of war, and Spider-Man and outside of Spider-Man I've not put an hour among the rest. God of War, Farcry 5 and Spider-Man were all Christmas purchases that I've not gotten around to but there's no excuse for blops and monster hunter. I'd say throw Red Dead in there and I'd have the front runners , but I probably wont be able to comment until 2020!

Spider-Man is good! I sat down for a solid 2 - 3 hours today and went through a decent portion of the game earlier today. If it wasn't for eyestrain I don't think I would have stopped playing.

I'm always kicking around working for a complete US release collection, the wii u may be easier than the dreamcast...

I probably put more quarters through a TNMT cab than any other cab, Simpsons may be close though..

Diablo 3 was 40 at BestBuy for a while

@Grindspine was Amy Lee's vocals crappy? She's insanely talented but I've heard that she relies heavily on auto tune for decent vocals...

General Discussion / Re: Is this Game New??

I doubt that'd be the case on video games. I think marking promo copies by notching or using cut-outs went out with vinyl records...

I never saw it in video games but it was a common practice to put a hole(s) in the upc of an item that's not being sold at full value, typically on a secondary market. 100 copies of a cd are made, retailers order 80. Some places destroy the left-over 20 %, some send it to secondary channels. The originator isn't getting full value for the item so they're marking it. It keeps the retail value higher, and incentivizes those who do not wait for something to hit sub retail markets, as well as keeps retailers happy that the item they're paying high wholesale for isn't going to the secondary markets unscathed for pennies on the dollar. Designer jeans get the label taken off, or blacked out, cigars get a different band, or are sold in bundles instead of in their cigar boxes, media sometimes got a hole in the upc. Many manufacturers deal with secondary markets when it comes to returned, overstock, new-old-stock, etc. often distinguishing the product in some way. I've also heard tale that some manufacturers do this on promotional and evaluational materials, on a very rare occasion, making them more collectable.

COUNT DOUBLED!

Age and consumption plays into a lot of it too. I've been to several concerts where you could tell the front man was really winded (looking at you Axl Rose...) and you either hear them breathing really hard or off tempo..

Metal wise I've not seen much either. I tend to stay away from hardcore punk and metal concerts as the patrons are pretty nuts. I'm fine going to a hard rock show where everyone is buzzed, thrashing around, crowd surfing, generally having a good time but a metal mosh pit is on a whole other level.

I'm going to keep an eye out for games that I really enjoyed. Their library has some indie stand-outs and cult classics BUT Golf Story is the first that I would actually enjoy playing, especially for the jacked up price. Saturday Morning RPG and Organ Trail were kinda fun for a few bucks on steam but not $30+ worth. I think Windjammers may be next.

@BLUEVOODU they've got VITA stuff, and you're the only Vita player I know.
#590
I ended up getting it.

I've not played much, but I really like how it works with the pro controller. It seems like sort of a drag that 5 - 6 years of developing characters on the pc doesn't port over BUT its still fun, and starting over isn't bad.

I just paid $30 for a game that came out over a year ago and was at its peak $15 digitally. It's a limited run physical release thing and worth it in my mind but only time will tell. See general discussion section for details

General Discussion / Limited Run Games

Has anyone ever heard of these guys?

I picked up a physical copy of golf story without looking at the price. I flipped when it rang up for twice what I sold digitally but got it anyway. When I went home and opened it I found INSTRUCTIONS?! Extra $15 well spent!

Sarcasm aside, I like what this company is doing. I started looking through their catalog (of course it's all sold out and being scalped heavily on eBay and Amazon but they're taking those cult classic game snob kind of games and putting out limited edition physical copies. Right now their version of Night Trap for the Switch is being sold for $90...

Their library is a little strange but some of it is iconic. It looks like they're going to do a limited release of Windjammers next.

Collectible wise these guys may be worth keeping an eye on, I've signed up for their newsletter and I think I'm going to try to get a copy of that Windjammers!

Check out their website and tell me what you think. https://limitedrungames.com/

There's nothing worse than shelling out large amounts of cash to go see an awesome band just to find out they completely suck live. Metallica is not one of those bands... they're a great live show that has your ears ringing the next day.

Mastadon however is crap live. People argue with me that it was probably just the venue but I've seen everything from Outkast to Saliva in the same venue and they were all fine.

I'm completely uneducated when it comes to retroarch.

When its described as a front end for emulators...

I'm assuming you pick the emulators and it makes things where you don't have to do a bunch of tuning depending on the machine you're installing the emulators on... is that the core concept I glanced over on their website?
#595
ww2 doesn't allow coop campaign, you have to go all the way back to world at war. (I think mine is on 360 but a ps3 version could be had for pennies)... I'll run through campaign on Titan
#596
because it's only easy to find genesis, nes, and snes cases for the raspberry pi!
#597
I'd be all for an achievement / trophy hunt co-op campaign type of thing. I've got most of the call of duty games (scattered across various sony and xbox platforms). I've forgotten which have coop campaign (seems like modern warfare and world at war at least do) but they're all pretty fun.

I did get around to playing a few rounds of gun game in blops4 today and enjoyed myself. I can almost forgive cod for not having a campaign since the mp is so robust BUT revisiting the game years later will be unlikely.

I feel sorry for those that bought into the limited edition variants -- it seems like spending tons of money on an investment that you know is going to tank @BLUEVOODU wouldn't you agree?

so many .iso's so little time

my son has been playing a lot of gun game. I really should have purchased 2 copies of this, maybe now that places are selling it for 30 I will...
