I get it, with the tablet mode and those few lumia phones that run 10 it makes sense
#752
have we picked up any younger gamers? I thought we just ported everyone over from EGA...

fantastic wallpaper.

I like ubuntu, I like libre office.

For repurposing old computers to surf the web and office applications you can't beat Linux. Retro Pi is pretty awesome and ipod linux was fun to mess around with.

Windows is still must have for gaming pc.

The security settings is something i'm going to have to commit to memory though, I'm sure it's something that'll come up a bunch.

PEER PRESSURE!

the free psn games are so hit or miss.... The good free game is usually something I bought a year or so ago.

L4D2 came out when a good portion of these guys were still in high school / college ... there was no mortgage, wife, kid, exwife, just questionable decisions and trying to scrape up beer and video game money.

@SpartanEvolved since you recommended Pacific Rim I went out and bought it today.. I'm sure @BLUEVOODU agrees, its now time to reciprocate and purchase BOPS4!

I got a different problem. I have plenty of mics that work fine, it was just that headset. It uses a 4 pole 3.5 mm jack for both mic and speakers and the only port on my computer that supports that on this computer is on the front panel. said port wasn't working so when i tried plugging it in the back i could either use the mic, or the headphones, but not both because i don't have that stupid splitter. it took me a little while to figure out the front panel port wasn't working.

getting people together anymore is difficult.

I'd love to get a big group together

Gamestop has the multiverse edition for 20 something last I looked. coming with a map seems almost like cheating

I'd always heard really good things about this game but never tried it. Yesterday was rainy, I was bored, so I picked up a copy.

I'm really impressed with the game. Side by side, this game is better than Metroid. Metroid, having come first, gets the nod for creating the genre but this game really takes everything Metroid accomplished and turned it up to 11.

The music is creepy sci-fi perfect for this type of game. My home theater subwoofers really get a workout when I play.

The difficulty is at what I would consider a perfect level. You die, a lot, but it's not controller throwing hard. There's usually a save point really close to where you'll probably die, a lot, that really cuts down on the frustration. I figured this out after moving from save point to boss battle through about a dozen rooms for 10 - 12 times then realized there was a room just to the left I'd not explored. The 13th trip to this boss I decided to hang a left just to see what was there... The doors to the boss's rooms are red too, so if you see one of those and haven't found a save point look left!

The weapons are awesome and it seems like there's going to be a ton. In about 30 minutes of just getting into the game I'd expanded my health two or three times, found two tools that could be used as weapons, found two more main weapons, and increased damage once or twice.

The story is the polarizing point. The premace seems cool but I was so eager to get into the game I wound up skipping through. I later went back and watched and found it meh. Metroid had the right idea here. There were 6 pages in the instruction manual explaining what was going on. When you turned on the game, you got a few seconds of intro music and were off. Some people said the story was great, others thought the characters were forgettable and story underdeveloped. One way or the other, it doesn't detract from the game, at least for me.

Any metroid fan should have this game. It's an obvious homage from an adoring fan.

I'll be up by then for sure!

it doesn't matter. TOO AM an I may sleep through it. I got Monday thur Friday 6 am - 1 am and usually crash pretty hard on the weekend.
#766
Any idea on time?

The younger gamers love it too. It's a great gateway game.

Parker started on it early on, maybe 3 or 4 years old he was able to play Roblox. The collectables coming with unlockable codes were cool, the music was cool, and there were games that were "simplifications" of popular games... he really dug it, and really was able to get into harder games because of it.

sweet.. no BV gotta find a mic

I thought about the guy on temple of doom that ripped that other guys heart out but he's a stretch... I couldn't remember his name so he was pretty forgettable.

Someone in Hollywood needs to make a bad-a witch doctor character...

Saturday seems good, may pepper in some cod...

last time I saw amiibos at best buy they were clearing out breath of the wild ones. I bought what I could, they were priced pretty low.

You'd think with Smash almost out nintendo would be milking that cash cow with all the amiibo adds... but all i see mentioned is samus and link, and it looks like rereleases

I can't get a handle on the amiibo situation. You don't see them in Walmart, gamestop, target, etc. much anymore.

I did see something about a treasure goblin amiibo which has made me seriously consider diablo 3 on the switch...

I just wanted to see if I could get away with using masochistic...

and spell it like it sounds to me..

You'd think now that windows has outgrown that generation of cheap netbook type computers that had that tiny disk space you couldn't expand, Linux would start to be really popular. It's always been really good for repurposing old hardware but limited to the more tech savvy crowd. now with Ubuntu et. al. looking at working like a windows clone, not to mention the step by step youtube videos, Linux would take off.
#776
If you close your eyes the music sounds like it could be from a yet unreleased mega man game.
#777
I dig steel books too. not 100 - 150 dig, but a $5 to 10dollar upcharge on a used one i'm fine with.

I've got a habit of running through the used games looking for something shiny
#778
confused...

jack and strubes on COD BOPs4 or Titanfall 2...

I'm still not masochististic enough to play Titanfall.
#779
its downloaded.

I've got some vacation time leftover I'll have to burn off, I think I should take a week and smoke cigars, drink bourbon, and try to finish as many games as I can. Probably cheaper than a ski trip... This one most certainly be one of them.

anyone hear megaman?
