I gets power from USB so use one of the 23049324039 cables you've got laying around. I step on them like I used to step on Legos.

The information about this this is so limited but the best source of something is https://thec64.com/faq/

I'm excited to go back to Commodore Basic. My last computer programming education was in Visual Basic, so the syntax is at least familiar.

Honestly, I don't think i'll play this much at all. I may not even take it out of the package... There's a lot of different ways to play with pretty much any flavor of Basic. It seems like it's going to be a pain in the butt with latency.

Wikipedia agrees.

I've only ever seen one and never played it, I would have loved to have tried one out.

@retro junkie

I didn't realize the neo pocket even had microswitches.. were they just in the buttons?

Anyone have one of these on the way? Admittedly $80 seems high for the games included, but this thing looks prime for tinkering, and it's yet another piece of nostalgia tugging on the love of the rainbow clad electronics of the 80's. It releases on October 9th

outside of Konami, Taito made some of my most favorite shooters. Even so, It's hard for me to pay $25 for this.

I like physical copies, I rarely pay 20 for a steam game, and that's when the big ones are on sale or have been out forever. Unless it's in a shiny package and sitting on my shelf i'm not interested unless its dirt cheap. I just don't get the mileage out of most shooters anymore.

Found all the towers and maxed out stamina in Zelda Breath of the Wild. I have three divine beasts left before going after gannon. I ditched the book a while back, it seems like it speeds things up too fast, a lot of my time is just spent climbing mountains or paragliding around. I'm really afraid if I stop playing this that I won't be able to get into anything else.

I'm starting to visualize a really cool display of miniaturized retro consoles (nes, snes, neo, psx, commodore 64,) Now if they'd do a GOOD version of the sega products on mini scale

there's been so much of the "lets play" conversation but little comes of it. It's almost like a bunch of 30 somethings trying to arrange time outside of work and family...

I had no idea. that looks better than the galaga load screen on ridge racer

I'm painfully aware of the extra expense associated with those little microswitches. I bought a mechanical keyboard for home a few years ago then had to have one at work. I couldn't get work to pay the extra 100 for one so I bought a second one.

I would absolutely pay 20 - 25 more for the microswitches, I just may not have bought 2 controllers! I don't know why I assumed i'd get clicky controllers but the realization that wasn't coming was a let down.

After ordering a mini I found this video and was a little depressed. I'm sure it'll still be fun but parts of this thing will definately be a let down.

that'd take gaining some serious social influence... it would be awesome though

Speaking of Neo Geo Mini... Metal Jesus just got one from SNK and did a youtube review that made me almost lament my purchase...

theres no microswithces in the controller (i bought two)
theres no microswithces in the joystick
the output doesn't look great. Metal Slug on the switch looked great, MS on the mini looked like butt.

Tekken Bowling? is this a thing or a joke between hoosiers?

Street Fighter 2 on the SNES and in the arcade marked my last infatuation with fighters. Its not that Street Fighter was the magnum opus of fighters, I just couldn't get into another after. As I've aged my gaming tastes have gradually narrowed to the point I find little satisfying. I'm trying to branch out, sample outside of my pallet in attempts to be a more rounded gamer so I wouldn't say there's anything I like about this one more than any other, it's just a likely fleeting attempt to broaden my focus.

i got the game and controller from gs already, didn't want to risk scalpers blowing up amazon in the first microsecond it was offered

In the new version the bombs have been replaced with hooks for each of the four turtles to rappel down on. We've almost taken everything military related out of toys now and still public places are getting shot up...

@Grindspine

2, 3, and X were the best megaman games by far. I don't really think there's any others I actually enjoyed.

The first X was the third mega man game I beat, with only 2 and 3 before it.

The original was brutal, 2 - 6 weren't difficult, and i don't remember playing 7 on until x. X was my favorite by far. x2 - on i never played either. I've heard they were pretty rough

The strike absolutely killed my love of baseball as well. I had a huge collection and watched every game I could. MICHAEL FREGGIN JORDAN started playing baseball, Tony Gwenn might have broken Ted Williams batting average record, and matt Williams was on pace to hit over 60 homers, YEARS before the Sosa McGwire steroid slugfest. We lost greats like Bo Jackson, Dave Henderson, Goose Gossage, and a ton of others. I even wanna say it was a big factor in Montreal losing the Expos and Jordan going back to the NBA (nevermind he was barely batting .200 in the minors).

It was 1994, Robbie Thompson and Will Clark were my heroes and I'd made a replica Giants team on Super Baseball Simulator 1000. I've been to 1 minor league game and watched 3 innings MLB since.

I feel like I should be more excited for this...

they didn't show much but ff7 was the only thing i saw that i might like to replay, except i've already got it on steam...
#867
I watched a few youtube videos that showcased some of it. If they throw out a few more retro games it'd be well worth the price of admission.

It was named after the Sharknado guy...

@BLUEVOODU Just think about all the neo cd stuff too...

I bought some sealed 3do stuff a long time ago when someone was cleaning it out, i'd packed it away with something else and completely forgot about it. had I sold it off when I thought I was getting out of collecting I may have made 50 bucks. Now, many of the pieces are worth that much each.

Legos are awesome. I try to get my son a big set at least once a year so we can spend time building something amazing. We're building a millennium falcon at the moment.
