The extra controllers look like the Neo Geo CD controllers. But I think it is more of a USB connection.

Personally I would rather they design their AVS controller as the system with the games built in and from there TV hook up. That was what I was originally hoping for. I am not sure, but I am thinking that the cabinet design might not be practical for long plays unless you are setting at the dining table.

I have my eye on this also. I hope they market this in a way that I can walk in and grab one up. This thing will be awesome.

I guess I sometimes collect figurines. I see something I like, I get it. Sometimes it can be a stature and sometimes it can be the articulation that grabs me. In the case of Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon it was nostalgia of loving the old corny serials. So I purchased body parts of the original 1/6 scale figurine rather than spending hundreds of dollars at the time. I almost have the Avengers by purchasing bodies and heads. I used Captain Action character suits for Captain America and Thor. I sometimes fade in and out of giving my attention to the hobbie, months, sometimes a few years.

@retro junkie - on your pink GBA SP... is that a sticker or cover?  Or is that a special edition SP?

That is a GB SP skin. I have several other GB SP that I have covered with these skins. Even though they are called skins, they are stickers.

I've had that same thought. Is it really fun? I don't know that I've really given a pokemon game a fair chance.

I personally would not classify it as a Pokemon game, in the traditional sense, other than the fact that it has Pokemon in it. From my perspective it is basically a rail shooter in its underlying gameplay. You are taking pictures of Pokemon that you see as you ride through an outdoor zoo. You are graded on the composition of the photo and sometimes a rare Pokemon. Replay value is built around "getting them all" and taking a better picture. Sort of a high score thing.

And to me it is a lot of fun.

I am old school. I do not play games on my phone. I usually carry one of these babies.

I use my work phone an iphone 5S. I am on call 24/7. My Wife and Daughter use iphone 4S with tracfone service.

I see Paper Mario has made it on a couple of lists. That is a very good game. Love it. Glad they put that on the N64.
One game that was a surprise for me was Pokemon Snap. I just casually purchased that game because I saw it cheap. And was suddenly surprised to find it so much fun. I really have enjoyed that game.

You're missing out then! I didn't realize first person shooters could do that until it happened to a friend a few years ago. We started playing multiplayer FPS in college with 007 then Perfect Dark. Both amazing and top ten worthy N64 games, if you're into FPS games. Crysis or Call of Duty got to him a few years back and he's limited his exposure to FPS games ever since. He did buy a HTC Vive and hasn't had issue with it, which I'd imagine would be more disorienting than an FPS game...

I wonder if TVs could do it in general? My first 4k bravia had a pretty lousy processor so in 4k games with fast motions I defiantly noticed some blurring.. I wonder if that's what's getting to people. There is a big difference in $500 sets and $1500 sets, when watching something other than broadcast tv.

I have often wondered if it had anything to do with a TV's refresh rate and the fps of the game. I have Perfect Dark for the 64, but could not get into it because of the motion thing. There was one action platform game I had the same issue with, I think it was for the gamecube, and I think it was Vexx. There was just something about that game I could not handle. I have been thinking about picking up 007 just to have it in my collection.

Never played 007. First person shooters causes motion sickness for me. So I stay away from those type games.

And I have actually clocked in more hours on the games in my list above than Mario 64, Zelda, or Mario Kart. Ridge Racer and Robotron being my heavy hitters.

Yes I think it was. I purchased the system without the controller. So it is incomplete.

If you have two or more pairs of fighters, first, get them together on the board. That way you can call on them to help. There are some moves to use shown on the lower screen. When you are attacking, use that time to make sure your life bar is full before attacking. Also you can equip items you picked up from battles at this time.

It is button mashing, mainly with only one button, with little or no control of your characters. Quickly spot on the bottom screen the move you want to include in your attack or counterattack session.

You can either clear the screen of enemies or go for the boss like character. Taking out the boss character clears the chapter regardless of how many stooges are left.

You will learn to plan as you enter a battle.

What is it about the game that you are finding, not sure what words I am looking for, maybe, pushing you away?

Couch, usually in a slouchy position. Even laid back on a bed with a DS, 3DS, etc.

Here is my recent new game Children of Mana vs. Project X Zone. Hate these type of changes. I am sure it is a money thing.

Are there any games for the 3DS that has booklets? Or was the DS generation the last ones to get them? I suddenly missed them when I received a few DS games I had purchased online. I opened the case and there was this big thick booklet. Warm fuzzies here, I will admit.

I like those big thick booklets and stuff like that with my games!

Happy Birthday!

This is the first game in a long time that I run my battery down playing in each gaming session. 

I am undecided at this point. I will let the crowds die down before we go, if we do. I usually see only Marvel movies at the theater over the last bunch of years. Depends on the movie though. I have gotten the habit of waiting for the DVD/Blu ray. My wife and I can get the Senior discount now.  But still it doesn't beat the price of purchasing the movie with the ability of rewatching.

I find it hard to recommend because I don't think it is a game that would appeal to most people. If you like strategy games. then yes, maybe. But I think it is because I have a hard time categorizing the gameplay. I'm not exactly big on strategy games myself, but I do find this game fun and enjoyable to play. I feel that it is one of those Japanese games that finally made it over here. And I think it feels Japanese like.

I keep picking up characters. Starting to feel like a small army.

Working on Project X Zone. Just finished with chapter 6. I think there are like 41 chapters so I am just in the door. I do find the story and interchange between characters interesting. Enjoying this game.

Now I'm interested in the Monster Hunter ones. 

I just purchased, used, Donkey Kong and Bowser from my local Game X Change. I too got them as stand up figurines. Been thinking about collecting a few for a while. I guess I have finally started. They are so detailed. Mine are the Skylanders amiibo hybrids.

I love this version of Dr. Smith. There's absolutely no telling what this character is up to nor what is coming next.

Parker Posy does a great job in the role. Doctor Smith has to be the most complex character in the series. I find myself drawn in trying to figure out the mind set of Doctor Smith and the reasoning behind some of the things she does.
