Who started the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 3?   This weekend was double xp... I played a ton of rounds.     I also took last week off to get some RR from work and other stuff.... so I put some time into the game.

I Think I'm around Battle Pass rank 60 now.  I'm also working on many of the other challenges.  I've played many rounds of Warzone Solos for practice lol... I was having trouble with it when playing quads with @mastermario @SpartanEvolved and @Grindspine ... or whoever else played.  I'm finally getting the hang of it.   I played a ton of Blackout in Black Ops 4... and liked that well.   I guess I was more used to Blackout.   Who else has been playing?

Post it up!

Good Review @retro junkie  -  I remember renting this game a couple times.  I honestly do not remember a lot about it though... it's been a very long time.  If I remember right, it played VERY close to Mortal Kombat 4 - the "3D" Mortal Kombat.   I remember having fun with it back in the day, but not enough to buy it.

Good review, Retro.

So even if you call in... you cannot purchase the cord?    At one point... I was able to get the Famicom Disk Drive belts from Nintendo of Japan.   They stopped selling them to me after a few times.  I was honest up front and told them I was selling them... and repairing Disk Drive units as well.

I've been noticing companies are doing this less.  They certainly stopped it with me after a few orders.

I never really got into the Intellivision.  I remember a lot of gamers that were trying to score them again in the mid 2000s... just before money started shrinking for a lot of people.     This looks interesting.. but $249-299??    That's pretty expensive.  The games look ok... but They may be a decade too late on this one.  Maybe not though.  I Could be wrong on that.

I used to have paid Spotify but now I don't, and the commercials are annoying.
lol that's a good one.

@targetrasp  That's pretty cool!   I still haven't made it to 4k gaming.  So there's my 1st world problem.   That and Groceries during the pandemic are more expensive..... ......

speaking of lego, we really need a new lego city undercover.. GTA Lego.... can't beat it
LOL... yes we do.

@Mai Valentine ... I really want Animal Crossing New Horizon.   I haven't bought anything ... I think... since Call of Duty Modern Warfare.  I've been on a no buying game kick... even though I really want New Horizon.  Right now, we are reduced at work... just being a little smarter with money right now.  Normally I'm buying any Animal Crossing 1st day.

Atari Flashback Portable - Has anyone seen this?  The reviews aren't that great:

Atari Flashback Portable Deluxe built-in 70 Games SD Card slot Especial Edition - Amazon.com

The game selection is ok.. old school games such as Frogger... but I'm curious if anyone has tried it and if the screen...etc.. is good or not.

Post it up!

@targetrasp I took a look into this.  I have nothing... unforunately.  I know this isn't helpful lol.... but if you find anything... post up the resolution.  My guess is HP won't sell it and they're just done.
#940
@targetrasp yes - I have a few links / threads I'm going to post up.   Feel free to post up articles for discussion as well.   It's ok to link here to news and other things... to legit sites lol.

That's true... costs seem to be going up.... but I don't think they will hit PlayStation 3 levels.
#941
lol... Black and Red... that's true.  It's becoming more Blue and Black.... and even lime green and black!

@targetrasp I dig it as well... although I think the PlayStation 4 still has a lot of life left.  We just don't see the strain on consoles as much anymore.   IE when N64 was going out and we were onto the Gamecube...etc... we saw a big difference.  SAme with PlayStation 2 to 3.  The jumps don't look as large.  Remember... I'm not a 4k gamer yet.
#942
@Mai Valentine   Thank you for that.... I Think I'm going to buy this at some point.   I'm playing a TON of Call of Duty right now... so extra time for other games is not there.  I don't know how people do it these days and spreading as much time over games as they do. It used to be easier... pretty straight forward... and you could be done with it or come back and reply.  Now with all the achievements and side missions... significant time is spent on most games.   The season in Call of Duty made this worse lol... they took a page out of Fort Nite's book.

if you platinum it... make sure to post it up in the A Winner is You Board

What do you think about everything re-opening?    Do you think it's too soon.. not soon enough... and the affects?

I Will say this... there is a line between unemployment and many adverse health effects and deaths that occur when people are out of work.   If people do not get back to work, the issue will compound.  However, if we go back too soon... we risk major re-infections.  Doctors and researchers still aren't sold on immunity once you get it.   My understanding is re-infections have occurred.

Post it up!

@Mai Valentine They're making a social outing of it?  What the heck?!  And whole families? .... that's just crazy.  BTW I'm very sorry to hear about your divorce... that sucks and is hard.  We will keep you all in our prayers.

I'm not sure how I feel about everything re-opening right now.  For the last week... it seems everyone is more active.  We are going to try to take a walk, but so many people are out.   We went to the park to walk... it was packed, so we left.

lol speaking of medical drama @Mai Valentine and @targetrasp ... Scrubs.... I miss that show.  It's a comedy though... not a drama.  I think we need to binge that.

@retro junkie We are almost done with all Monk seasons!

@retro junkie @targetrasp any update on the release date?  Still delayed?

They have a Lynx cart as well??  lol... what??
#948
In case you are pre-ordering the Evercade from Amazon.com ... here is a pre-order link.  Your pre-orders via this link will help this site:

Evercade Premium Pack Includes 3 Cartridges Collections: Atari Volume 1, Interplay Volume 1 and Dataeast Volume 1 - Electronic Games  - amazon.com

Even if you go to this link and decide to get other stuff... that will count as well.

IF you do get the Evercade... post up how you like it...etc... once you get it.

@targetrasp I hear you... in the past... I probably would've bought for something like that and hopes of future games.  However, they have to have more of an offering than Alyx for a $1000 piece of equipment.

I Think it looks really cool... but I'm also wondering if this VR will catch on.  In a way, its like the 3DS... there's many people that cannot use it.  Equipment like this is something I'd be all over in the past.  I dug the Virtual Boy for a couple of their games.  But again... people had issues with the Virtual Boy as well.

The design itself is great, but I'm not wild about that color scheme. Where is my all black controller?  :))
@Mai Valentine  -- LOL... all black including black lights?
#951
you know... I really want to pick this up @Mai Valentine   I tell you... I missed it the 1st time around... I played it a bit when I had the shop and would watch friends play it as well.  However, I never really did own it.    With the remake, I'm looking to buy this at some point.

So you think this game is worth it?  How about time to play... does it take a lot of time investment?

I figure @Grindspine @targetrasp and maybe @Jack would be very interested in this.  Maybe @retro junkie as well.

what's left?

No need to answer, it's rhetorical and slightly sarcastic.

A hand picked TG 16 library of 40-50 would still have 20ish games I'd only spin up once or twice

YEAH... but Duo games as well?  ;D

They shouldn't technically be running out though.  2-3 weeks after employees are sick... they should be able to returning barring they are further I'll... and hopefully not.  Then immunity sets in.  They're still trying to figure out how long term effects are affecting the body. Some are starting to show lung and heart issues from what I read... which virus can perma damage your body. So maybe it's not that easy.

Hopefully we can get over this bump and get back to normal by summer without a wave 2.  Spanish flu wave 2 was the deadly one.

Lol I might look into the steel book as well.

Not to digress here... but...

Beastie Boys, eh? Lol...   we were down at Ball State visiting @SpartanEvolved  many years back.  He wanted to do karaoke...  and so I mentioned beastie boys... fight for your right (to party).  I got the "no one listens to that anymore" response.  Probably showing my age, but since when has that not been a party song?  It was well before my college time and As far as I'm aware, it's still a party song.

@retro junkie  it really does appeal more to younger generations. Many do not want the inconvenience of housing and storing tons of physical games and more-so lately... I understand this. I've always been a game hoarder.   But in the last 10 years... my steam library grew faster and more than any of my physical collections. I've even contemplated getting rid of other game collections I've acquired - i.e. my Sega Saturn.

You make good points on the connection speeds.  And I really think this is improving across the nation in most places.  More improvement is required though.

This definitely has some appeal and I hope they deal with how to play games offline.  Maybe that's not a concern for many gamers anymore.  I've always liked an option to play offline in case.  There also some times I just don't want to play online. But most Blizzard games and many other platforms require you to have a constant connection.

I'm interested to see how Cloud Gaming progresses. There's a good chance for it to take off.

@targetrasp hm....
Hmmm......  Man....  You and @retro junkie make good arguments lol.  I get the appeal... and the cart based games is a cool feature.

What about links?

You know what I really want?  Nintendo 64 player on the switch.  Posting a topic on that soon.

@MegaDrive20XX what's your take?  Have you seen this?

And don't forget... you can help this site with hosting and future upgrades by using the ads if you buy it off Amazon... shameless plug.

Lol... well. I ended up winning with an oar fish.. 218".

I haven't done one of those fishing tournaments since Wild World.
#959
Who is excited for this ... and 1st day buyers?  Do you think it will be delayed with the corona virus plaguing us right now?

I'm pretty pumped for it and what it'll have to offer.  I'm not necessarily watching any certain titles right now.   The current generations of hardware still feel like they have a couple years of life in them.  I could be wrong... I get the ps4 is 6 years old.

I'm still pumped.  What's your thoughts on this?  Post it up!

There's an Animal Crossing:  New Leaf fishing tournament today. Is anyone participating?

I know it's the old version on 3DS... but if you're doing the tournament...  post it up!   Also post up your largest fish.  So far, I've caught a 42.75 inch Sea Bass
