I remember paying $149 for mine way back after the release. I wanted the yellow one so bad. And this color was the only one available. It is a nice size for the console. Price increases really hurt.

How did you end up getting yours for $149? The MSRP was $199 from launch. That's an amazing deal!
@BLUEVOODU The local Walmart had them for $149 back then. Not sure why, I can't remember. My Daughter and I both got one.
AH! I see. There must've been a good sale or something lol. If I found one for $150 right now, I probably would be game as well. It would be cool if they came up with something smaller form factor wise as well. IE smaller than the lite if possible.
