It seems this game has fallen off a bit... I know we don't really play anymore.

Do you still play?  If so... what's been up in the game and what do you enjoy (and/or not enjoy)?

Post it up!

Princess Peach

I have been playing FortNite a lot lately! So much so, I have bought the last 2 Battle Passes. Often my fiance and I play with our siblings or friends and keep our voice chat on Discord.

The Battle Pass is truly the best deal on the FortNite shop. For $10 USD, you get up to 7 skins with extra bonus customizations and as long as you keep playing, you earn back VBucks to go towards the next Battle Pass. Essentially, you are getting all future Battle Passes free by continuing to play and earning back VBucks on each subsequent pass.

Considering that each skin starts around $15 alone and skin bundles ranging up to $25-$30 USD, the Battle Pass is the most bang for your buck while granting the most skins at this price point.

This season's Battle Pass is themed around "Override" and features lots of knock-off skins of beloved classic games franchises. Skins include Sonic (licensed skin) and dupes for Call of Duty, Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda, Street Fighter, Minecraft, among many others. It's honestly pretty fun.

The Battle Royale Map changes with every season, so Override features lots of sprites hidden beneath "cheat codes" that give you fun variants. There is also an entire area dedicated to Sonic, including speed ramps to make you run fast. Now that we are close to Halloween, a lot of seasonal decor and interactive items like pumpkins, health regenerating candy, themed land drop titles, and more have appeared across the map.

Classic or OG Fortnite mode also features some zombie horde areas where you have to battle purple zombies and their regenerative towers alongside online players. Zombies drop mainly ammo, and their bases can drop loot like basic guns or fun items.

All this to say, I've been enjoying Fortnite as one of the only shooter games available on Switch. Keeping up with content downloads does eat up a lot of storage, but a microSD with 200GB storage has been a game changer. Check out this current season and spooky map before it's gone!
