Doom II Pantera Stolen Riff

LOL... I happened to see this on Youtube when checking out a few music related jams this morning.  We know there were some very influential songs that had impact on the Music of Doom and Doom II.  There is NO DOUBT certain riffs were used in the games... and this is well known.  However, I thought this side by side comparison was cool.   

so ... Did they steal or borrow the riff?
