Title: Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition
Post by: BLUEVOODU on February 20, 2026, 03:11:26 PM
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition... is now available on the Switch 2.  It came out for the Nintendo Switch last March (2025)... I think it was.

There are a few additions for the Nintendo Switch 2.  This was originally a Nintendo Wii U game... and had, from what I remember, a great reception!  If you have the Nintendo Switch version, there is an upgrade to the Switch 2 version available.

Below are the Nintendo Switch 2 Features:

Premise of the game (if you're not aware):
Earth has fallen

The year is 2054. Earth has been destroyed by an intergalactic war between two alien races, and humanity is on the brink of annihilation. A small number of survivors, aboard the USS White Whale, crash land on the vast and untamed planet Mira. Now, it falls to you, as a member of BLADE, to help bring humanity back from the edge of extinction...with the aid of powerful giant robots called Skells.

Is this on your must buy list?  IE either the Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 versions?  Do you have memories of the original on the Wii U?  Post it up!

What about you @Mai Valentine, @targetrasp, @Kinikko ... did you ever get into the Xenoblade series?

I remember many getting into the Xenoblade series many years back.  It was a highly sought after game.

I tried to get into this series back when I was working, but it required too much of my time. I haven't tried it since I have been retired. Need to put that on the list. I have it for the 3DS and the Wii U.

I tried playing Xenoblade when it originally released on the Wii but my main issue was that it was just such a big game that I probably got decision paralysis and couldn't decide what to do. Also, the battle system was a little wonky, and the voice acting was not great. For the story parts it was fine but they kept doing the same quips over and over in battle and it was annoying.
