I hear you.   We started doing more Redbox and stuff like that... plus watching all we can on Amazon Prime.   For Example... we started binge watching 24 AND Psych.  I missed those shows the 1st time around lol.. and they are pretty good.

I agree - It looks surprisingly good...  I'm hoping it is as good as it looks.  Are you going to check it out as well?

Recently I started watching someones youtube video which showed a clip of every gamecube game. After watching that I felt that I was asleep during that period of gaming. I saw so many games that I did not know existed that I now want to play.  :o
EXACTLY... that's what I mean.  The system had  A LOT!  Many didn't catch on until the Wii and after (especially with the backward compatibility).

@targetrasp soooo... fanboy eh? lol.... hm... I definitely didn't like PlayStation until they came out with a great format for the PlayStation 3.    BUT... While I liked Nintendo and their games... many other systems paled.  And I was a Neo Geo AND PC gamer as well.  To be fair... I had almost all the consoles except XBOX at one point.

The Frisbee Wavebird comment had to be because of using a Wavebird to play Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2....  so much rage... yet so much fun.

AND - you weren't way too late.  YOu could've caught up  ;D
#1537
Yeah - you are right... it probably will flare up.  That's a guarantee lol...  ;D  It will flare up without a reason.

I bet you anything though... if everything heads the way of steaming... there's going to be a power play money in the ISP sector.

This has been put on hold for a short time as there are a few other bugs they are working out.  I plan on moving us to the new version once solidified.

Peruvian Skies is pretty good. Metropolis Pt. 1 and Panic Attack are tied for my favorite. Metropolis for being a prog masterpiece and Panic Attack for being such a great metal song. I recommend those two for sure for anyone trying to get into Dream Theater.

Exactly... Burning My Soul was pretty good too... man... can't believe that came out as long ago as it has.  They have some pretty cool 7 string work too in more recent albums.  The 2nd link you provided was pretty good as well.  I dig.

@Grindspine man... I haven't heard them in a long time.  I think the last time was when we were driving to get energy drinks LOL.

#1543
yeah... the music was pretty cool.  I dug it quite a bit!
#1544
I love Star Fox Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64... I still haven't played the Wii U or other versions... including Gamecube.
#1545
LOL... There's an article I'm getting ready to post.   Google is doing it.

It's more a Netflix rent model where they perform all the hardware and compute on their side.   They essentially stream the play to you... where you control it on your side, but all input has to travel to them.  Good Internet is required at this time.

But I digress... these controllers look cool @retro junkie  ;D
#1546
You and a lot of other people.  It was funny to see how many people started playing LOTS of Gamecube games when the Wii U came out.  I dare to say the Gamecube was more popular after the system was done... and then players started to notice ALL these games they missed.

There were MANY good games.  I bought into the Gamecube pretty heavy.

A good way to get situated is Gun Game.  It's pretty much ... rush to kill to get through all the weapons.   However, it teaches you to run, gun, and aim fast.   After a few times getting kicked around, you start getting it.

I did this same thing with Counter Strike Global Offensive... they have a mode that's similar.   This really helped to have a way that allows you to get used to a wide varieties of guns... and it really forces you to use and learn them quickly.  It basically just gives you experience with the weapons... when you may not have used a lot of them overwise.   It's helpful IMO.

We definitely need to play a little more this coming weekend.  @Grindspine @targetrasp ... I will create a topic... maybe for D3 or some Modern Warfare.

I should have an hour-ish to play at least.    I am studying for the next certifications now... hopefully 3 more certs (4 total tests I believe) in the next 6 weeks.  We will see how well that sticks to plan.  There will be plans to play some games here and there.

The topic will be created soon.

Has anyone seen Captain Marvel Yet?     What are your thoughts?

I don't want to post anything to spoil it yet... we've technically seen it twice.  Went with @Grindspine the 1st time around.

Here's what I'll say so far... we really dug the movie.  There are some really cool cult references as well.

Post it up!

LOL... well... Google is talking a new platform... Gaap?  LOL... Gaming as a Platform.  It's a clouding joke...  anyway, they are talking about making it so you can play games on ANY device.  So you would have a cloud platform and then play anything anywhere.   It's an interesting concept.  I'd like to know how it would play out and the costs associated.   There are some pretty heavy hitting things they could do with it.

Topic coming soon on that.   There needs to be one.

@retro junkie Dude... that's really cool they are officially licensing.   For the Dreamcast as well?   It would be cool to see some topics on this as well.   ;D
#1551
YES!    You would get Blood streaks and different Crazy effects while you were playing / Hurt.   At times... the game would simulate rebooting lol... it was a trip.    The game was pretty cool.    I wonder how well it has aged.   I cannot tell you the last time I picked it up.
#1552
@targetrasp I'm talking to @SpartanEvolved to download it as well.

We need to try this out next... I got my BUTT HANDED to me on Saturday.  LOL... skills are stale.
#1553
@CreepinDeth man... I dig the sound.  That's pretty cool.  I've been a big fan of Dream Theatre for a long time.  Peruvian Skies MIGHT be my favorite song by them... one of the best endings to a song ever.   The beginning is cool ... but when it kicks up, it's awesome.

I will have to check the rest of this album.
#1554
Man .... I saw you playing this earlier @Grindspine ... it made me want to try it. This also brings back old memories of the conversations from the old board.  If I remember correctly,  @Mai Valentine and @Kinikko  used to play this all the time.

How much time have you put into it?

So, what's up?

Certs make breath not bad.

What games we play?

Lol these make your breath go bad  ;D
@Grindspine @targetrasp are you also available after dinner time tomorrow?   That may work better.  We could do Diablo 3 or something we all have.
#1556
@targetrasp - I saw you playing modern warfare tonight. How is it play wise?  I might be down for that as well.  Or titanfall 2  ;D
#1557
I still need to perform this... been too buy lately.  There's a really cool link I will share later on that explains how to fix this.

Stoked to find some time to get it done.

March 14, 2019, 09:30:13 PM
@targetrasp lol... I hate to admit it... I just watched that video.   Pretty frickin cool how some things just come together.     That's really cool... and what's the over / under he was blasted during the entire interview? lol.

Has anyone else played their Neo Geo mini lately?
#1559
@retro junkie have you tried Eternal Darkness?

hm... we need an Eternal Darkness topic... in fact, I need to revisit the game.   This game used to be pretty awesome.  I Wonder how it has held up over time.
#1560
@retro junkie man... this controller looks pretty cool.  I haven't seen many controllers / items like this.

Feels pretty solid when you're playing?
