tie breaker!

The BOTW amiibos have some randomness that can be great or meh, and you can only use each amiibo once / day. Most of the time it's 5 arrows or something silly plus some random materials. Sometimes you get a pretty decent weapon or a htf material from the BOTW amiibos. Every other amiibo I own drops some random assortment of 3 - 5 materials.

They make farming less frequent, and once in a while get a nice weapon BUT the weapons don't last long. Weapons break super quick, so even if you get something OP (at least where i'm at in the game) it breaks quick. So far I've found one thing that can be fixed but it costs more in materials and money than I've even seen yet.

I've got a lot that are at or above their original price but I'd say my most valuable ones are Rule of Rose and the Misadventures of Tron Bonne.

I've had tons of Neo Geo AES, Sega Saturn, and TG16 games that'd be worth a fortune now that I picked up reasonably and made a small profit off of that I wish I still had.

they are all pretty awesome. I think I've been able to collect all but the first 3 or 4, cart based games have gotten scarce and command a premium anymore

If this takes off it'll make it where xbox, sony, Nintendo, etc. can put their systems out at a much higher price without turning their customers off. I don't think cell phones could have pushed their current price point (nearly $1000) without the leasing strategy.

PS3 came out high and xbox 360 ruled. Xbox One came out high and PS4 Ruled.. The ceiling seems to be raising slower than inflation and this lease idea looks to be the way around it.

I vaguely remember being too young to appreciate what a pain in the butt Flashback and Out of this World truly was. I especially remember repeatedly dying right off the bat. I'm sure it'd be the same now!

As long as it completely turns away from Mario party 10 i'll be happy. That was the worst.

Netseller and TigerDirect was my go-to in the 90's. Once New Egg gained traction all sources became inferior. Its always good to check New Egg against Amazon factoring in shipping costs.

I've found during some of the bigger sales Best Buy annihalates all competetion. You may not get exactly what you're looking for but you can buy the entire computer at Best Buy then add that graphics card or ram or whatever else cheaper than building from scratch and get (at least close) to what you're trying to build.

I tried, it's saved for later. good as ordered though

My forum time has been limited to early mornings or late nights - at neither point am I fully awake...

That's an ingenious idea - lego games + nostalgic blockbusters. The portal allowed the add on sets (like the goonies and back to the future) but a game like batman, harry potter, lotw, etc. would likely stand on its own well.

I'm really surprised I didn't really get into this game earlier. It's the reason I bought the switch and yet I barely played either until recently. I've not played enough to actually review it but I can say that it's worth the price of admission.

When it came out I purchased the hard cover players guide and the game, and three or four amiibos. The amiibos make almost no difference other than adding some materials and on occasion offering a pretty OP weapon (at least in early stages) but the guide is great. The game is Nintendos take on the Elder Scrolls Series. The story is good, the voice acting is bad, and the gameplay is amazing. I've spent hours just farming materials and exploring. I'd suggest using the guide as more of a reference instead of following it as a walk thru as it has the potential to shorten the game significantly. I'll attempt a proper review once I've gotten through it.

Prior to this game I was in a real gaming slump. I'd almost convinced myself I'd outgrown gaming or just lost interest. After reintroducing myself to BOTW I've realized i'm still a gamer. I don't just pick this game up when i'm bored, i carve out several hours a week for it.

I've got it but I've not dedicated any time to it what so ever. I may start it after i get tired of Breath of the Wild.

I've only even been excited about two spider man games, maximum carnage and the Spiderman that was like GTA on the ps2... Hearing you guys hype up this newest makes me feel like I've completely overlooked it. is there a reason people are pumped?

There's so much middle-aged man-cave bait out or almost out right now it's pitiful...

i'm lost.. Lego Goonies? you want lego goonies?

But really... $60? it's 20ish at wallyworld and a little less on ebay. or have you not the portal?

i think lego adventure time would have been pretty awesome despite only one of the adventure time games being any fun.

My portal and all that crap is in the display cabinent and hasn't been used since that christmas it came out, which is probably where starlink will end up (and that's how you steer the conversation back on topic)

It probably would have taken me another 500 posts before I would have noticed them, and another 1000 before I realized what they were!

I read the review and the game seems worthy but ima keep mine wrapped for at least a little while longer. I'm going to get my mileage out of Zelda for the moment.
#889
did yours get opened and enjoyed? I've not cracked the shrink wrap on mine

I've never owned a smash bros game, and I've never really wanted to, until now. I don't know what I like the looks of this one over past iterations but I do.
#891
Does anyone have any opinion on this game? It seems odd that Ubisoft is bringing another toys to life game out after so many others have made their way past their prime with this last iteration moving to the clearance bin with a quickness.

The Switch version has a Star Fox cross over exclusive that has me leaning in Nintendo's favor.

The second url is a 17 minute gameplay video from IGN. None of the weapons were switched out so that mechanic wasn't featured and the gameplay looked really vanilla. I can't decide if it looks like its worth $75. I want to be blown away, but I'm not.

Operation Wolf, Time Crisis, Revolution X, Lethal Enforcers, Duck Hunt, Mad Dog McSomething (McCree maybe?) T2, House of the Dead

There's so many awesome arcade gun games.

@BLUEVOODU - maybe the couch was a bit drastic. Instead I can just get rid of the vanity in the daughter's room.

3/4 arcade cabinets hitting the market soon... I'd have several if I had some spare room... I'm still considering the track ball one and I'd sell a couch and put one in my living room if there was a light gun one.

I finished off that match 3 game I was playing
#897
I started Zelda Breath of the Wild over again. I wasn't far in it but I quit playing a while ago and couldn't remember much of what I did. I knocked out three of the shrines on the great plateau earlier today.

Its such a great game I can't believe I never finished it.
#898
There some mortal kombat influence in there... I kept hearing "come here to me" and "finish him" while I was watching this. Scorpion's thing was backwards, but none the less... it looks good.

I think to do star fox correct, he'd be a lot like Rocket Raccoon but then it'd be considered a rip-off and done before. In that light I think star fox would be a complete failure, CGI anyway. An animated version could be done well.

Horizon Zero Dawn MIGHT work in a Mad Max meets eden kind of way

Rygar, Metal Gear, Witcher Monster Hunter, The Elder Scrolls or anything else Bioware could be awesome.
