Gentrification has gotten rid of all the dollar theaters in my area.

I keep clicking the report button but nothing ever happens... I don't think Blue has these working yet!
#993
I most defiantly have all the Mario cartoons on dvd!
#995
I've had that same thought. Is it really fun? I don't know that I've really given a pokemon game a fair chance.

I never understood the waveracer / hydro thunder reverence so many people still have.

When compiling a top ten list it's HARD for me to qualify a racing game of any flavor. It just seems like there's less to the game. Puzzles, sports, and shooters are similar. While I love and enjoy them, they just don't have the depth of a platformer or a rpg...

Once you start getting into the top 25 top 50 then they get peppered in.

maybe it's dreamworks' that's ruining it?!

I just realized i'm advocating the show while I've not even watched half of what's available on Netflix... @CreepinDeth you may be on to something!

There's a lot about California I don't care for - Smog, traffic, crowds in general - but the food is amazing and the specialty stores are killer.

Its like every other reboot ever.... you just have to manage your expectations. The magic that was the original voltron (I saw reruns in the 80s) wasn't there. Same with star wars, star trek, lost in space, gi joe, etc. etc. etc. BUT the premise is typically in tact and different can be good... Many times have I been soured on a reboot / rehash in tv, films, comic, because I went in with preconceived notions and high expectations.

No music is different. Its SELDOM I can enjoy a covered song IF I liked the original. There's two out now that make my skin crawl, Zombie and that one FFDP covered of the offspring's... Both originals I enjoyed, both covers I hate. On the reverse I didn't mind Limp Bizkit doing Behind Blue Eyes because I'd made it my whole life without hearing the original first.

I have launch ps4's so there's 500 gb's on each... that have long since been filled up. Between downloading psn's free games and buying everything I can get my hands on I've had to be 4tb expansion drives for each of the two ps4s in the house.

If I'm not mistaken you're in a great area for that kind of thing... Aren't you a left-coaster?

My sister just moved to California with her Marine Corps husband and she's raved about the record stores and used book stores, when she's not gushing about whatever harry potter crap that was just built... Between her in California and her husband's last stint in Japan, they've had an insane amount of access to stuff I barely find in my area.

The new voltron cartoon on Netflix is pretty decent, although I've not seen past the first season. For Christmas I got my son every one of the new lions (not the biggest size, but the one down) and we've now got fully assembled voltron in our "china cabinet." He chills out with all the amiibos, lego dimension figures, every star wars lego sets, and a random assortment of cool toys my son and I have managed to collect over the last 5 years.

Audio Technica doesn't suck at all. It seems like the best reasonably priced player available. You can definitely get into some better quality stuff, but you're going to pay for it. I've just recently started buying records. I'm trying to collect records that the entire album is good. Stuff like Fleetwood Mac Rumors, Green Day Dookie, Offspring Smash, Led Zepplin IV, ZZ Top Eliminator, Aerosmith Pump, Queens of the Stoneage - Songs for the Deaf, etc. etc.

There's some really good late 60's stuff (art and music wise) but it's way too far out of my budget for originals.

Bitcoin is 1/2 what it was in December 2017 and there's bitcoin futures out now, so no more bullish growth (I hope), which would mean no more insane hikes in technology related to mining bitcoin. I'm betting gpu's and ram won't bottom out or drop much more at all without a significant change in supply but I also don't think they'll increase much faster than normal inflation allows since now you betting against bitcoin is an option.

Sounds a lot like me. This weekend is the last soccer game for a while so i'll even be off Saturday afternoons.

There's a music festival going on in Asheville this weekend so this weekend is pretty scrubbed for me, but moving forward Saturdays and sundays will be open.

We enjoy the site for free, it's the least we can do.

I can't find anything recent talking about it... EOY 2017 people were talking about having to wait between 0 and 8 minutes for more common playlists (team slayer?)

The game will be 4 years old this november and has a later game in the series out... but I've seen Call of Duty games supported longer...

I'd be willing to try mcc and / or halo 5

So really you'd be out $49.98, barring they spend the whole $50!?!

You're missing out then! I didn't realize first person shooters could do that until it happened to a friend a few years ago. We started playing multiplayer FPS in college with 007 then Perfect Dark. Both amazing and top ten worthy N64 games, if you're into FPS games. Crysis or Call of Duty got to him a few years back and he's limited his exposure to FPS games ever since. He did buy a HTC Vive and hasn't had issue with it, which I'd imagine would be more disorienting than an FPS game...

I wonder if TVs could do it in general? My first 4k bravia had a pretty lousy processor so in 4k games with fast motions I defiantly noticed some blurring.. I wonder if that's what's getting to people. There is a big difference in $500 sets and $1500 sets, when watching something other than broadcast tv.

I love board games, but I can't imagine loving them enough to talk about them in detail on a forum.

I'm at that age where I've lost contact with most of my friends so the difficult / engaging games are out but i've got 12 different kinds of monopoly to play with my kids!

Does the administrator get to contribute?

Also, shouldn't there be some disclaimer that stipulates that the winner has to purchase via linking from chickendiner...
#1012
Competitions... what competitions? They wouldn't have anything to do with the spike in posts?

Ha, yup you've done a great job getting the word out. I'll post - I just don't have the kind of friends that would be worth inviting... at least no more than what I've already invited.
#1013
You're missing Mario, Zelda, Mario kart, and 007
#1014
What does everyone's weekends look like?
#1015
I can't get either kid into LOTR. YouTube has played to their short attention span. They wont sit down and watch a three hour movie but they can watch three hours of DanTDM in 20 different clips. Hollywood has to be pissed!
#1016
Legos were awesome. I got tons of them but never wound up with a pirate ship, a castle, or the most coveted monorail.

I'll have to admit I still play with these things (all be it with my son)... we're currently working on the Millennium Falcon
#1017
I just started Valkyria Chronicles and Destiny 2 up on the ps4 last night. Having to start all over on Valkyria because it's save was on the ps4 I gave my son and Destiny because it was cheap.
#1018
It won't disappoint. We've got one in the house now, I'm waiting until some special edition comes out before I purchase a second. Walmart sells the official dock for 60 so you can set it up in multiple rooms easily anyway, no need for a second unless multiplayer is a priority. Odyssey and Zelda alone will entertain for a hundred hours easily.
#1019
The combat. I can't seem to figure it out. It looks to be more than button mashing BUT that's as far as I get, just hitting a bunch of buttons.
#1020
More purchases...

Puzzle and Dragons + Puzzle and Dragons Super Mario Bros (sucks)
Rodea the Sky Soldier (looks like it going to suck)
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (trying to get them all so I can play in order)
The Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventures (really wanna play around with the Gameboy link cables)
Suikoden
Golden Sun (finally found the game reasonably prices, I lost my copy when the game first came out, I still have original box and book, it skyrocketed for a while but has since came down)
